About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

I'll post a proper reply to you all tomoro but I have buggered up my dates, DP and I DTD in my apparent OV day.. For past week I've been napping in afternoon, could cry at anything etc did a test today but it's too early....

It's very quiet on here where is everyone?! Not much happening here having a chilled out day now about to watch the Wimbledon final. I may test on Thursday as I am going out on Thursday night and want to know if I can drink. How is everyone else?

Hi Grin I'm testing wed/thurs. I'm getting a lot of pregnant symptoms but I very much doubt I am as this is only first cycle since stopping the pill. Good luck for thursday x

Hello All! Can I join? I have brought Wine and Rock Cakes. Not really posted on these forums before so I am a bit nervous.

I am 34 and we have a 19mo Ds. We have just started ttc#2 and I am not due to Ov until a week Monday.

Congrats to all the BFPs, I hope it happens to all of us in the next few months too! Grin

All good here - had a scan today (just for reassurance) and baby measured 7+5 and had a good little heartbeat, relieved - for now! Pickle there was only 1 so no octuplets!! Sorry to disappoint! :)

Hi there, mind if I join?

We've decided to go for DC2 just last week - I forgot to take the pill (again) and, being thoroughly fed up with it, asked DH how about I stop taking it altogether? And he said let's go for it!

Still early days, need to get into a regular cycle again, the mini pill messed me around quite a bit... Just bought ovulation tests, they were very useful last time (I use them without letting DH know, trying to maintain the romance Grin). Jealous of the ones who are already have BFPs or are testing for it! It took us 8 months last time, hopefully it'll be quicker this time round (biological clock and all...)

Bad luck winter, are you sure of your cycle yet? Might still be a bit early to test if it's your first cycle after pill??

Sorry to hear you are out this month babyjames I am joining you in that club!
I did actually think I was pregnant as I was feeling really tired and boobs were feeling funny (Not that I was symptom spotting or anything!) but then Af arrives a couple of days early but at least I didn't have false hope for too long.

On the plus I am out tomorrow night so can have a few Wine in fact i might even have a glass tonight!

Fingers crossed you get a BFP winter

It prob is too early, but im feeling exactly the same as I did with DS. Cant get up in the mornings, feeling sick morning and evening, waking hungry in the middle of the night, belly seems to have grown and dont even get me started on my boobs lol

Also I cant stand the smell of cooking meat again and the smell of DP's cigaretts are enough to make me throw up :(

Maybe its all in my head, Hmm

Ooooh Winter, its looking good! So by next weekend you should know? If you stay away from tests that long!

Pickle and Bazzle you'll have scans coming up soon right? You got dates yet? (and pre-warned the sonographer theres 8 little people to check! ;) )

Coco and babyjames we'll settle in for another month then eh?!

I'm day 10 today, dtd every other day or so, got a wedding on Sat though so possible chance of alcohol/merriment conceived child this month!

Anyone here ever been on Micronor (mini pill)? How soon after you stopped did your periods return? I took the last pill on June 29 and expected that I'd start soon after, but still no sign. I've been getting typical period cramps and my usual that-time-of-the-month feeling (i.e. crap), but nothing yet.

Sorry I haven't posted in weeks, since my BFP. I'm still lurking on here though to see how everyone is doing. Also I may be back here really soon as having issues (bleeding and cramping) and feel this one might not be making it. Have a scan in 10 days to confirm.

JBrd I was on a mini pill (but not Micronor) it was cerazette. Both times I came off to TTC, took a long time to get period back, like 36-40 days. Then finally got period, then both times fell pregnant the following cycle!

Okay, am officially back! Unfortunately had a confirmed mc at 7 weeks, but am feeling accepting of it, and once my body has healed from this will be super excited to start TTC again. Have heard of a lot of success stories of immediate BFPs following an mc so fx we'll have similar luck!

How is everyone doing? who is testing next?

Aw jessi, so sorry to hear of your loss. But like you say, you hear of so many people who get pg straight after mc so everything crossed for you!

Well at arrived today & dh's consultant confirmed he doesn't need to come off his medication so we're "officially" trying this month...cycle 1, here we go!

Congrats to the others with BFP's!
