About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

I took vitamin b and mutli vits..

WinterLover · 20/07/2012 21:47

At the min I'm in the process of coming off my anti-depressants, got to take a 500mg Vit d tablet due to being vit d deficient, multi vit and omega 3.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 20/07/2012 23:29

Are you taking folic acid? You should start right away, I used zita west vits but they were expensive, I got sucked in though!

jessiethecowgirl · 21/07/2012 08:06

I'm taking Folic acid, and not sure if I should take Vit D or not.. will look into it..

So my MC bleeding is over and DH and I have started DTD right away. I know the midwives suggest waiting a few cycles for dating purposes, but it just doesn't make sense to me to "wait" to TTC, especially since DH and I love to be intimate, so the idea of using a condom right now seems so backwards haha... So this month is going to be completely random. I don't even know how to calculate which CD I'm on - maybe I should start from first day of MC (which would mean I'm CD10) or first day I stopped bleeding (which would mean I'm CD3...) I've heard a lot of people say they were super fertile after mc so fx that will be me too :)

WinterLover · 21/07/2012 09:06

Yeah folic acid too Grin

I only have to take the extra vit d because I was severely vit d deficient.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 21/07/2012 11:49

I think you might have a weird cycle Jessie, so best dtd a lot over the coming weeks! Grin

EddieIzzardIsMine · 22/07/2012 08:22

Hope it goes well for you Jessi

Day 20 here so just waiting it out until next Monday....

Hows everyone else this weekend?

posypoo · 22/07/2012 14:59

Hello everyone. Like Jessi (btw hello Jessi!) I was posting on here a month or so ago, got my bfp in June but then miscarried last week :( I might not go for it this month (am undecided as early days still) but if not then will def from the next month and it would be nice to come along again for the ride.

Hope you are all well and enjoying this sunny sunday!

posypoo · 22/07/2012 15:00

Have just realised that come along for the ride is the title of this post - sorry to sound like a parrot!

jessiethecowgirl · 22/07/2012 19:24

Hi posy and yes its too bad we are both bumped from the antenatel threads, but fx for us in the near future!

DH and I discussed waiting a month/until next AF, but we both just feel so ready to start again (and love SWI to be honest) so decided to just go for it!

good luck eddie with the wait! I find the last week of the 2ww the hardest definitely

EddieIzzardIsMine · 23/07/2012 17:37

Sorry Posy, it truly is shit, hope when you decide to ttc again, a bfp and uneventful pregnancy comes quickly for you

Thanks Jessi, I agree...I'm just counting days and waiting it out but it drags the last week of the 2ww doesnt it?!

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 23/07/2012 19:46

Sorry to hear that posy hope your ok and everything crossed for a speedy bfp for you x

posypoo · 24/07/2012 10:06

Thanks everyone! Well I had my last scan yesterday. A complete miscarriage and it's fine to go ahead and ttc from next cycle, though the leaflet said there's no medical reason to wait. Is that what you understand too Jessi? I already feel so much better and am such an impatient person. I think I might not manage to wait a month!

I have been taking Sanatogen pregnancy vitamins since ttc as they have folic acid etc in (and they are cheaper than pregnacare!).

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 24/07/2012 13:31

Well its good that there are no complications and you can get on with things straight away, if you feel fine I wouldnt wait, I think they say to wait normally because of dating problems? not sure.

I know I would not be able to wait, would want to do what you are and focus on the future..

hope you both get good news quickly.

EddieIzzardIsMine · 25/07/2012 17:22

Hows everyone today?

I'm feeling not so good, all hot, sweaty and sick, dont think its bfp think it just might be dodgy food or something but either way I'm feeling very sorry for myself today!

Got some cereal for dinner as its all I fancy and the the last episode of The Killing to look forward to tonight though!

PedanticPanda · 25/07/2012 17:39

Hi everyone, I've jumped from ttc thread to thread over the past 5 months so can't remember if I've been chatting on this one, but I wanted to talk to someone!

I just got a faint blue line... well it's pink on this test Grin I tested late this afternoon though instead of the morning and the line isn't that faint either, so I think it's looking like I'm pregnant with number 2!!

jessiethecowgirl · 26/07/2012 09:34

Eddie cereal was a very early craving for me in my 1st pregnancy, it was bland and easy to keep down. so maybe its an early sign?!? When are you testing again?

congrats Panda!!!! what exciting news!! the pink line tests are always more accurate then the blue lines, and the fact its not faint is a definite positive lol! That is such great news!! Hopefully it is a good sign for the rest of us...
good luck with everything!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 26/07/2012 09:43

Jessie actually thinking about it, thats what I fancied when pregnant with DS, just lived on cheese/yoghurt/cereal...still refusing to get my hopes up though!

AF due Monday, so testing mid-week next week if its not shown by then...anyone around the same time?

jessiethecowgirl · 26/07/2012 09:58

ooo fx eddie!
Still a shagger here... so won't be testing for a while!

PedanticPanda · 26/07/2012 12:30

Thanks Jessie, I've been dying to tell someone! Our friends have known we've been trying for the past 5 months but we don't want to tell anyone just now as I miscarried last year so will be waiting till the 12 week scan because I'm so worried about something going wrong.

EddieIzzardIsMine · 29/07/2012 17:10

Threads gone a bit quiet, where is everyone?!

On day 27, still no sign of AF which given I've been a day or so 'early' the last few months ....

Testing mid-week if AF doent show by then

Hows everyone else?

Bazzle · 29/07/2012 20:09

Hi Eddie - oooh fingers crossed for you!! Hope AF stays away, i have a lucky feeling for you this month you know :)

Posy and Jessie am really sorry to hear things didn't work out but fx for another BFP for you both soon too.

Panda - YAY! congrats.

All ok here - scan tomorrow, very nervous. It's actually going to be too early for the full NT test (they went by LMP and my cycles are long/irregular) but hoping to see everything is progressing well. Please cross your fingers for me xxx

PurpleDana · 29/07/2012 21:06

Hi girls :-)
I'm new on mumsnet and want to share my plans!
Me and hubby are TTC for our first baby together. We both have boys from previous marriages and he finally persuaded me to try for our own a few months ago - I had 2 heartbreaking years trying without success with my previous husband 5yrs ago, obviously wasn't a fertility problem with him cos we s

PurpleDana · 29/07/2012 21:15

Oops, pressed wrong button! Continued....
We split up and he got a girl pregnant 2wks later!
So I convinced myself it would never happen for me and was very clear to now husband that I wasn't gonna go thru trying again. But he never gave up talking about a baby and 6 months ago I started to allow myself to believe it might just happen.
So... I finally agreed, began to scale down my migraine meds, and stock up on folic acid, and booked in to see GP.
I had my mirena coil removed on Wednesday and now just waiting for my bleeding to stop so we can start trying!
Sorry for the essay!

Fingers crossed :-)

EddieIzzardIsMine · 30/07/2012 08:39
