carina as a charter, I learned quite a lot about reading the natural signs our bodies give us when we're fertile/not fertile... BUT following mc the signs can be confusing.
However, generally speaking, if you are having clear, stretchy discharge (known as egg white cervical mucus or EWCM) then your body is entering a fertile state, preparing to ovulate. The EWCM is the perfect transport mode for the sperm to get to where it needs to be and they can live in it for several days. Again, generally speaking, it dries up when you ovulate. So, I would be inclined to say that you are either about to ovulate or have very very recently (within a day or so).
But here's the thing - if you're having lots of sex it could be left over semen you're seeing. There is a way to test, if you're not too squeamish:
Get a glass of water. Get a 'sample' of your (hopefully) ewcm - between two fingers by kinda 'pinching' inside is quite an easy way. Put the sample into the water - if it sinks to the bottom, it's EWCM. If it floats or disintergrates, it's semen.
Also, some women take a few months to get back to normal and their body will try, sometimes repeatedly, to ovulate, but not actually manage it. The only way you could be sure is if you are charting your temps or if you get a bfp
.
But as I say, the signs are that you are fertile right now so go with that and carry on having sex until the ewcm dries up (progesterone after you ovulate makes it dry up).
As for testing, you will want to wait at LEAST 10/11 days after being sure you ovulated. This is early to get a positive and you'd need a sensitive test, but if you really can't wait the full 2ww, then it's not tooooo crazy to test at 10/11 dpo if you have a sensitive test.
Oh, welcome and good luck!
