MarthasHarbour · 19/03/2012 11:26

stay calm mrsnesbit knicker checking is par for the course but you have passed the CP stage, so that is one hurdle over (so to speak!). you will be fine Smile

OP posts:
mrsnesbit · 19/03/2012 11:30

CP?? what is this??

MissCoffeeNWine · 19/03/2012 11:41

Morning all. Nice and shiney in here. Welcome MsNesbitt, we have everything crossed for you. CP is chemical pregnancy.

mrsnesbit · 19/03/2012 11:52

oh no what is a chemical pregnancy?

MarthasHarbour · 19/03/2012 12:18

basically, you get a BFP at 3-4 weeks and then start bleeding and losing the baby, ie a 'non viable pregnancy'. It is too early to call it a miscarriage and it usually occurs circa 4-5 weeks.

Or as my mother tactfully put it 'It is just a late period dear' Hmm Angry

OP posts:
GrandPoohBah · 19/03/2012 12:32

Ah yes, because you have the CP stress, then the early miscarriage stress, the MMC anticipation at the 12wk scan, the late miscarriage stress, the 'why can't I feel my baby yet?' stress and then the 20wk scan stress for anomaly or late MMC. And that just takes us to halfway through...

It's very exciting about IQ, although chances are the little one is much too comfortable there and won't make an appearance for another 2 weeks Grin

Hope everyone's well, I've been reading but not posting so much - I have been very busy visiting friends, buying a house and desperately trying to ignore the 2ww, whilst symptom spotting like a madwoman. My boobs hurt yesterday. I'm not sure if this is because they actually hurt or because I was poking them to see. If my LP hasn't changed since the ERPC, I'll be 12dpo on Thursday and due on, so we'll find out then.

Pebs, I'm so sorry about the outcome of your scan, I hope you're doing ok.

Tits, good luck for yours! I hope it goes ok :)

I have a dr appointment this afternoon to be referred to a RMC with staff who actually know what they're talking about, I was beyond underwhelmed with the outcome of our appointment last week. I'm going to push for St Mary's, I think.

Hope everyone is ok, sorry I couldn't namecheck everyone - my short term memory leaves a little to be desired and I can't check the thread whilst typing on the iPhone app.

PieMistress · 19/03/2012 12:47

Also just marking place and gives a big wave Grin Hope everybody is doing ok. Am sooo excited about IQ (I wonder what happened to marathon and baby who were on this thread for ages?! has anybody seen them posting elsewhere??)

farfallarocks · 19/03/2012 13:26

Also marking my place (and sympathising with the constant knicker checking/loo trips)

TitsalinaBumSquash · 19/03/2012 13:35

Afternoon Smile

I had my scan, they say all looks normal for 5weeks they could see the sac but nothing else, back in 3 weeks time for another. Also started anticoagulant injections. So 3 more weeks of mettaling for me it would seem until I get to 8 weeks and take another peek in.

InsomniaQueen · 19/03/2012 13:57

Hello ladies - welcome to mrsnesbit!!!

grand I think you have pretty much summed up the post MC pg experience there!!

So to catch everyone up with the saga of mini IQ and her refusal to be removed - we went in for the 40 week check and she is low down and giving all the signs that she is ready so the MW had another rummage around. It wasn't a stretch and sweep because the cervix hasn't come down enough to do that. After the rummage the MW checked the HB again to see if it had any effect on her.......no effect at all. The words she used were "mmmmmm she does seem very comfortable in there". To be honest if I had a choice to stay in or come out I would stay in - it's warm, you get carried everywhere you go, you have your own water to float around in and food on tap.......what's not to like Smile.

She went through everything with us in terms of the next appointment and what to do in between if I think I've gone into labour - I had to explain that I'd already had 8 episodes of false labour so wasn't really holding out any hope. I genuinely think that this LO is gonna have to be dragged out of there which is slightly ironic considering her 2 episodes of pre-term labour. Oh well at least I'm not at work!!! Grin

JaffaSnaffle · 19/03/2012 14:10

Like the new thread, martha, thanks for setting it up.

Tits, hurrah for normal. Hold on for the next 3 weeks.

Tas, were you back at work today? Hope it went well as can be expected.

Pebs, thinking about you. When is your next scan?

Hello mrsnesbit, welcome to our mosh pit.

Iq, thinking of you too. Wondering how you are getting along now. Hope you are able to get some rest.

MsC, many sympathies with the knicker checking. I have this and that is without the stress of gushgate.

Well, I am in a strange place. My morning sickness keeps coming and going. Some days it is hardly there, other days I am gagging, and the nausea is a backdrop to everything I do. I had a few days at the weekend where I wasn't feeling very sick and it scared me. It has come back a bit. I keep worrying about what I am doing, eating, sleeping etc. I am counting down to my first scan, a week on Wednesday. I have such a long way to go before I am out of my own mental danger zone, but at least if this scan goes ok, I know that the baby is still alive.

MarthasHarbour · 19/03/2012 14:37

tas brilliant news on the scan Smile

i feel sick, i have hardly eaten and i feel sick, i have a cold, sore boobies and feel sick. have been googling early preg symptoms and i could be PG but then i could just have a cold. but i cant test till the weekend!

gaaaahhhhh

Jealous of your hospitable womb IQ. I've been informed mine is rather inhospitable place to be (has its positives, never had to wait for D day)

mrs c - I don't think gushgate counts as metalling, think that would have concerned even my freaky positive alter ego.

I have knicker checked so many times I've lost count. I am
Also ashamed to say I've found a way to do it in public. tmi? Hell yeah!

tits 3 weeks seems a bit harsh, I thought best practice is 2 weeks. The swines.

mrsn you have come to the right place for some support and people who will totally understand why you have to slip of the rose tinted spectacles and see them through the eyes of recurrent losses. Saying that my alter ego is a chirpy positive little thing but you never know which one of me you will get.

Waves at everyone else and has some of that left over full English breakfast....

MumTumWanted · 19/03/2012 16:03

Fingers crossed for my cycle buddy Martha but sadly I shall bs retiring to club class for the next two weeks sadly af arrived today so my v sore boobies must have only been Made so sore by my constant prodding Blush

Well actually I will only be round for the next week 6 sleeps and counting till we fly out for my wedding. Thankfully with this to look forward to I did not dissolve into a crumbling heap on the toilet floor when I realised af was here but instead thought of the positives -all inc hotel for wedding can wear deet filled midgy spray won't be bloated with water retention in wedding dress etc etc SmileSmileSmile

Welcome mrs n sorry u are here but metal all u like these ladies are fab!!

Missc following gushgate I'm not surprised at the paranoia I too would want not to move at all!! Blush

MarthasHarbour · 19/03/2012 16:21

MandaHugNKiss · 19/03/2012 16:32

marking spot on new thread (thanks marff!) as DS2's tailing off cold/flu thing ramped back up to 'poor little buggar couldn't breath through his nose last night' so we got very little sleep and I'm barely compos mentis.

But! I do so love that bit in Toy Story when 'drunk on tea' Buzz rants 'I'm MrsNesbit!' So. Kudos on the name and congrats on the absence of AF!

GrumpusWallowing · 19/03/2012 17:59

Marking my place, hello all. Thanks martha for new thread. I think I'm just a day ahead of you, being at cd 25 today. Apart from feeling a bit pukey,I have absolutely no symptoms and my boobs were unbearable last time so not feeling overly positive. I am desperately trying to wait it out. Fingers crossed for you.
Sorry to mumtum, congrats about the wedding, you must be really excited about that,I bet it's going to be a beautiful day.

grand thinking of you in this never ending 2ww too!
iq thank you so much for keeping us updated,it's so lovely to hear your good news,I'm not surprised that your little one wants to stay there! It's really great to hear your progress. Hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable.
tits sorry about the wait, that is rubbish, watch Pointless for distraction? It's not working too well for me now...

Hope everyone is well, I am just about to make crispy fried chicken (buttermilk deep south style),so the diet is going really well. You guys are more than welcome to join me,I cook enough for a reasonable army usually.

madaboutmadmen · 19/03/2012 18:52

Got you! bookmarking Smile

TitsalinaBumSquash · 19/03/2012 19:02

Evening, thanks for the kind messages, 3 weeks is excessive isn't it?! I have the consultant OBGYNE on Wed. She said today that in 3 weeks I should be 8 weeks and we can tell for sure of this little bean is viable, in other words if I get there and there is no yolk sac or heartbeat then that's me done, of course I have to get into another 3 weeks without anything happening first.
Tiredness is less now which is a worry and apart from the very first weeks I have had no sickness, boobs are slightly sore on and off and that's about it, I am praying for some morning sickness! (aware I may regret that I'm a week or so)

DP's mum told me about how he was after the mc he was brave and strong here but apparently he went home and sobbed, he said all he's ever wanted is to hold a baby of ours in his arms. Sad I want this so badly!!

I am feeling a bit safer over here so have backed off the due in Nov group a little, I hope that's ok. It's busy there and I am feeling a bit fragile.

tasmaniandevilchaser · 19/03/2012 20:34

marking my place and hi to mrsnesbit, I also love that bit in Toy Story Grin
