Congratulations mumtum A honeymoon baby - perfect :)

peb I was still testing +ive 3 weeks after my erpc, and my brown spotting came and went on for what seemed like ages. Good to get a check up though, hope it goes ok.

pebspop · 16/04/2012 10:44

i'm back!

i wish this brown spotting would piss off. it's really annoying me as i just want to get back to normal.

i might try taking the bvits and see if that helps to get my cycle sorted. i could also book in for accupuncture to try and sort it out.

could bvits help manda?

cake i really wouldn't worry about what your colleague said. i know it's hard as you will be thinking she has predicted something. surely people can't predict things though - i find it hard to believe.

saying that, years ago my now MIL told me she could read palms (her friend at work had shown her). she said i would have three children and then asked me if i had ever an abortion - and didn't really believe me when i said no Shock. it has stuck in my mind and i do wonder if she did see something. my dh has mentioned it recently as well. i don't believe it but you can't help but wonder even though i know it's probably mumbo jumbo.

i bet my mil wouldn't even remember the incident. i have never seen her read a palm since anyway!

sunshinesue · 16/04/2012 11:04

congrats mumstum!

pebs after my erpc the spotting seemed to go on, and on, and on. It did piss off after an acupuncture session though. I don't know if it had run it's course and would have anyway but worth a try. I know how much it gets you down, you just want to move on and be normal again without stupid bleeding reminding you everytime you go to the loo.

GrandPoohBah · 16/04/2012 11:06

When I had an infection (which came on about three weeks later), I just had almost orangey discharge - like there was a little bit of blood in it? I also had a lot of it.

Today I mostly don't feel sick. Which is now worrying me as I spent last week feeling dreadful. My boobs still hurt when I poke them though Grin

I have a scan tomorrow and Wednesday. I'm scared.

leedy · 16/04/2012 11:19

"trying to be detached but actually being hopelessly attached"

Oh this, definitely. I'm only 7.5 weeks and already have part of my head going "this one's going to work ... when the baby comes ... " etc., and then another part of my head going "STOP BEING SO OPTIMISTIC IT COULD ALL GO WRONG"

mrsnesbit · 16/04/2012 12:03

Gaaah still waiting here!
Bleeding heavier today, odd niggle, but nothing like previous mcs.
Maybe this one is failing slowly and gently rather than full on. This way is kinder physically i have to say.

I can clean and stuff!

MarthasHarbour · 16/04/2012 13:11

mrsn Sad sit down and dont do any cleaning, i did that after my MC and made myself ill.

mumtum congrats on your wedding and that honeymoon baby Wink you would have got a look like this Hmm in my nan's day! Wink

I caved and have done IC's every day this weekend so it didnt surprise me when AF turned up this morning bitch

Sad

Metalling emergency. Just had a letter from the hospital to say I have a urine infection and I have to see my doctor.

Erm whut.

A letter? About a sample taken two weeks ago?! Shock

Tell me it'll be OK and the swollen fanjo isn't some terrible symptom meaning I've developed something raging that's going to take my little kicker away :(:(

GrandPoohBah · 16/04/2012 13:14

I second MarthasHarbour - I kept thinking I was fine and I did stupid things like flip my mattress and get loads of shopping then wonder why I felt so awful. Sit down!

Sorry for AF, MH.

pebspop · 16/04/2012 13:29

missc when i had a urine infection a couple of months ago my gp wrote to me to tell me i had the wrong anti biotics. got the letter about 10 days after they had seen me - sometimes the nhs are dickheads!

ring the midwife/doctor/consultant - basically anyone who can put your mind at ease.

i have heard you can get swlooen fanjo from all the extra blood pumping around.

Midgetm · 16/04/2012 13:52

missC deep breaths, sure you have done already but call the fecking midwife, your Go and anyone else that can get you decent antibiotics. Sure it will be fine but they need to sort you like NOW. I think from mr google the swollen fanjo could be just extra blood but also worth reporting when you speak to the midwife. Good luck and let us know how you get on x x totally useless writing to you. FFS.

MarthasHarbour · 16/04/2012 14:25

thanks GPB thats 2012 out for me now then i guess. Onwards and upwards for a 2013 baby!

missc calm down get to the GP and get yer meds. Your LO is fiiiiine Smile

OP posts:
MarthasHarbour · 16/04/2012 14:26

although-i cant speak for your fanjo Hmm

OP posts:
leedy · 16/04/2012 14:57

Ah boo, sorry to hear about AF, MH.

sunshinesue · 16/04/2012 15:10

Good luck for the scans GPB. if it's any consolation (but probably not) I'd be bricking it too...

Sorry for cow bag AF MH

"STOP BEING SO OPTIMISTIC IT COULD ALL GO WRONG" - True, but I spent my first pregnancy convinced I'd mc and the second convinced all would be ok. Both ended in mc but at least the second time around I wasn't miserable for 2 months beforehand.

MumTumWanted · 16/04/2012 15:26

missc defo get into the go again I can't offer any help about the fanjo sorry Blush

marthas sorry for the witch arriving hun like u say onwards and upwards for 2013 babe for you Grin

Me? Well as I was still quite disbelieving so I went and brought a double pack of cb digis ( knowing next week I will want to know if that conception indicator changesBlushBlush) and even poas at lunch time I was amazed said pregnant 2-3 So not even the 1-2 I was expecting I stopped metalling for all of half a minute befor rapidly working out when I could pee on the next one to see if it goes up to 3+ BlushBlush

Really is a honeymoon bean though Grin I could see years ago how it may have been more of a shotgun wedding GrinWink

MandaHugNKiss · 16/04/2012 15:50

I bled/spotted for 3 weeks post erpc and was getting the faintest 'bfp' still up until about then too... when you say you're still getting positives, pebs are they very faint or at least getting fainter or still quite clear/strong?

For me, I took the tests every 3 or 4 days and could see them getting lighter. That kinda reassured me, as much as the bleeding/spotting was going on for weeks, and as much as I was getting positives, they were moving in the right direction.

If you notice a funny smell, pain, or start to feel flu-ish/ill then getting checked becomes a priority but I would be waiting it out a little more in the absence of any of that and if my tests were getting lighter.

Bear in mind that your loss occured at a time when the hcg starts to peak and also that you had two in there! So you can expect it take a little while longer than 'average' perhaps?

Now, are you really asking me whether you should take the high doese B vits? Grin My automatic answer to ANYONE ttc would be a resounding yes! If only because of the improved egg quality (like, duh, who doesn't want their eggs to be the best they can be if they're looking to fertilise 'em?) but also because of the other positive effects it has on cycle/hormone balancing, stress levels, improved hair/skin/nails...

Get thee to Holland and barratt, woman. Wink

That applies to all of you ttc!

mumtum lovely news! Although, just to check, you did test until you got a negative following your loss, right? As you can see with pebs and my experience, it's quite possible for everything to be 'fine' but you still get a faint bfp for some weeks...

My ex has a place in Barbados (it's his permanent residence although he's only there three months of the year - a tax dodge thing (and before that makes anyone crazy, he's French Canadian so not 'evading' here Smile)) . He says I should go... so maybe I will one day, albeit with at least two littlies and DF in tow!

MandaHugNKiss · 16/04/2012 15:59

gah, lots of x posting and DF has just walked in with McDonalds (blurgh, but yum. But really blurgh) so not much time.

marff Sorry my love

missC it's likely a combo of increased blood flow and hormone changes - lots of women get very swollen 'down there' in pregnancy (and every pregnancy IS different so don't panic too much if it hasn't happened before). But could be thrush, a side-effect of your uti, an irritation/allergic reaction (perhaps from the condom they use with the dilcocam? How long ago was that scan?), and, randomly, I've become more sensitive to DF when we have sex. Not always, just sometimes. I get swollen and sore, then the next day it's fine. Odd. But obviously a variation of normal. Anyway, don't panic too much about it, and get thee to the GP re: your letter. It's not desperately urgent (hence the letter rather than a call) but does need sorting.

Um, can't remember what else what I wanted to say and... my BIG MAC calls!

pebspop · 16/04/2012 16:10

I am mainly worried about this brown spotting being the same as i had before and during the last pg. the normal bleeding has gone but this is left behind. it might be something weird going on.

i am using ic's so can't really tell if they are fading as they never really looked strong in the first place (if you can remember back to some very early pg mentalling!!). i will test again on thursday morning (which will be four weeks since erpc) and if it's bfn i won't bother going to epu and might try accu to sort me out. if it's still positive i will pop along and see what they say.

pebspop · 16/04/2012 16:11

b vits are on the way!

MissCoffeeNWine · 16/04/2012 17:08

Thanks for the advice, I rang the surgery. Soonest I can be seen is late Friday afternoon, by locum doctor, nearly three weeks after the sample was taken - soonest I can see the midwife is May 4th Hmm My appointment for dildocam is before then.

So guess there's nothing to be done. I've never had an infection there before. Never had thrush, secretly don't really know what it is. Blush I hear it has something to do with yoghurt. Is it the same as cystitis, never had that either. Something to do with cranberries? I should know these things.

Bloody metalling central.

Hope it sorts itself out pebs

mumtum sounds good, hope it's a brand new bfp for you!

martha There are lots of great dates in 2013. 3/1/13? 13/1/13? 1/3/13? How about one of those. Remember if I pop this one out when it's due, you've still got like another 8 months before you need to conceive for them to be in the same school year. It's no time.

Hope you're taking it easy mrsn

no more metalling Grandpoohbah you will have great scans

MarthasHarbour · 16/04/2012 22:09

i love you and your 2013 stats missc Grin

just watched episode 2 of White Heat on BBCiplayer and there is a graphic abortion scene. i feel sick and a bit Sad

manda dont bollock me although-i know you will but i stopped taking the Bvits ages ago, in fact i threw them out as even taking them snapped in half made me gag Blush but i hear you can get them in smaller doses (ie buy the B50s and take two) is that right?

OP posts:
MarthasHarbour · 16/04/2012 22:10

Morning ladies Smile

I had a late night last night, I'm feeling it this morning and naturally I didn't even drink!
We saw Battleship which was begrudgingly better than I expected Hmm
(don't tell DP I was wrong though!)

My news came out at college yesterday, I quietly told my tutor not realising a couple of students stood behind me who got rather excited and told the whole floor. Tbh I feel a little better with people knowing and not having to hide it.
My friend at college is 7 weeks, she told everyone after she had POAS, her parents are doing up their out building for her and her P to live in when the baby is born but yet are sending her to college without food, I know she is a grown up now but I thought the priorities a little off there. Confused

I also sat in front of a big plate of spaghetti Bolognese last night in out local Italian, unable to eat a bite because my stomach was doing flip flops, then had to explain to the waiter that although it was lovely, I had an unwell tummy. Blush

All the best today ladies. Smile
