Hi Martha. yes the best programme ever. you'll be addicted. Series 5 starts tonight.on Sky Atlantic. Set it to record if you can as you'll be desperate to see it by the end of the 4th series..I've just watched them all back ready for tonight!

mrsnesbit · 27/03/2012 10:08

Its that fucking cycle of negative thoughts that are engrained in the head.

BUT 6 weeks & 3days down...YAY!!!!! GrinGrin

I can report that on every knicker check since February there has been no nasties in there. Smile

not really any symptoms either, sore boobs..mildly, a bit hungry and off coffee. Other than that, nowt. I was sick as a dog with ds from about 6 weeks till 18 weeks.
Just going to get another day over with.

MarthasHarbour · 27/03/2012 10:24

mrsnesbit we had a mantra way back on one of the older threads that kept some of them's going through the early days:

'I am pregnant today'

Yay! Grin

I dont have Sky madmen but i have four seasons to get through so by the time i have finished it they will prob have the box set or have it on BBC2 anyway!

MarthasHarbour · 27/03/2012 10:24

thats not me pregnant by the way - if anyone is skimming the thread!!! Hmm

OP posts:
mrsnesbit · 27/03/2012 10:26

I LOVE that mantra, strangely comforting, those 4 little words.
They are fact, cant argue with fact.

leedy · 27/03/2012 10:44

And yeek, Bonzo, that all sounds a bit dramatic. Glad all is ok!

mrsnesbit · 27/03/2012 10:48

HA!
Loving that this thread is in no way fluffy, and stern talkings to are freeling dispensed.
That to me, just proves that you have been where i have been, and understand how a serial miscarriers head works.

leedy · 27/03/2012 11:09

The collective mindfvcking experience of this thread is phenomenal! I'm sure there's nothing that one of us hasn't managed to overthink/fret about.

mrsnesbit · 27/03/2012 11:15

Normally im quite a chilled old girl, not much gets me going.
But this is a subject that i struggle to think logically about. I get on my own nerves tbh.

Also, only DH knows this time, ive told no one, so i have no one to vent to, no one to talk to, and i know no-one in rl who has had serial mcs. SO i am relying on you girls for support, stern talkings to and sympathy...more importantly for folk to say "i know what you mean Mrsnesbit, ive been there".

TitsalinaBumSquash · 27/03/2012 11:22

I do the whole 'today I am pregnant - that is all that matters right now' this may get old if I do it for another 33 weeks. :o

I also realised that baby will be due the same day Twilight p2 comes out, I have informed DP that under no circumstances will I be missing it. :o

I did 2 clients at college then ditched claiming tummy bug. I really cba with it today, I have so much housework sleeping to do.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 27/03/2012 11:27

Also, I find once you have lost a baby it really impacts the excitement of future pregnancies, when my friend came into college yesterday she was bubbling with excitement and telling everyone and anyone who would listen, even though she is just 4 weeks. I remember being like that, and all I felt was sadness and a real hope she doesn't go through what we have all gone though.

MarthasHarbour · 27/03/2012 12:08

oh god yeah tits that colleague was me when i got PG with DS. Yes thank the lord it was all ok but FFS i was so naive. I would let it go as long as possible next time. i too just feel sadness when someone announces early pgs Sad

if we could bottle up the mind-fecking that this thread has gone through we could fill a whole ward in 'One flew over the cuckoos nest!' Grin

Tiago · 27/03/2012 12:27

Tits I am due 10 days pre-Twilight. I have been trying to work out means by which I can ensure I cdon't miss it!

NoMoreMarbles · 27/03/2012 12:30

afternoon ladies...Smile

im currently halfway through my last ever tuesday in this godawful jobGrin

i too try to do the mantra "im pregnant today" whenever i actually get further than a few days...

MarthasHarbour · 27/03/2012 13:26

marbles you utter delight!

Have you thought of any more job ideas? I have to confess to being secretly jealous of your 'world is my lobster' new venture. I know economically the country is screwed but there will be something fabulous for you out there.

Lobster? I like lobster!

marff You have worked miracles! My poorly pelvis is feeling much better today and it was totally your pampering that did it! that and trying to stay parked on the sofa/sleeping with the pillow between my legs

mrsN I think we're a leeeetle bit fluffy on occasion - that's it, really, isn't it? Knowing that there is a balance to strike between poo-pooing fears as nonsense and 'everything will be fiiiine!' (when we know some times it isn't...) and acknowledging fears as absolutely normal but reigning you in when you get just a leeeetle too metal. I reckon we do quite a good job most of the time - as you say, we know. It makes a difference.

Well, for those of you who remember my hair disaster some five or six weeks ago... I didn't actually do anything about it. I just learned to live with it whilst having fresh paroxysms every time I washed it and realised: yes, it's shit And as I'm going to be Cindy Crawford minus the mole y'know, doing that thing Thursday I HAVE to do something if I'm not gonna feel awful about it So I'm booked in for tomorrow for more highlights and... WHAT IF I COME AWAY WORSE?!

mrsnesbit · 27/03/2012 14:13

erm, bleeding has started in the last hour.
You know how it does, just little flecks when you wipe, now its proper blood.

oh well, thats that then, mc number 7.

MarthasHarbour · 27/03/2012 14:41

ok stay calm. it might be a MC but then again it might not. i bled at 10 weeks with DS. He was fine.

You might be fine, you might not be. just hang in there and try not to panic. if it gets heavier and you have cramps then get to A&E. If it is light spotting then just try and relax.

OP posts:
MarthasHarbour · 27/03/2012 14:43

manda glad my pampering treats have cured-your SPD sorted you out good and proper. No advice on the hair am afraid, coz if i say go for it and it looks crap then you will totally bollock me...

secretly-thinks manda should go for it and just get the hairdo you can always threaten to sue the hairdresser if you dont get onto the next series of BNTM as a result Hmm
