I'd start having sex in the next day or two but keep it to every other day for the moment. Do you know how long your luteal phase usually is?

In Cavewatch, I got my piss stick and promptly started cramping again, though it has stopped again now. I may have invoked the Law of Sod Sad

I know, been to the loo twice in the last hour to knicker check and no sign of anything yet.

If you assume a "normal" [ironic laugh] of 14 days for luteal, then you're looking at ovulating anytime between Day 18 and Day 22. Though LPs can vary between 12 and 16 days. Best just keep shagging!

CM is very variable! I do seem to get it, but not at the same time as, what appears to be, ov! I think I've identified a "first rush" of CM that seems to appear about a week before ov though.
I've been quite mucusy (sorry for those having a late lunch!) for the last 4 or 5 days, of varying consistencies Hmm

I've not really got into cervix watch. I've had a furkle about occasionally but not in a regular basis.

Northey · 17/02/2012 15:58

I've never managed to identify mine. What is it exactly that you are meant to feel?

OP posts:
blonderthanred · 17/02/2012 17:55

I know the feeling Bugs, my brother has been living with me for the last few months which has led to some very muted shagging (towel behind the headboard helps).

I got a positive opk for the first time EVER yesterday. Very surprised. No ewcm but we have been doing the sechs every other day since the droid left and every day the last few days.

Many fingers xed for all those SWI.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 17/02/2012 20:22

Towel behind head board duly noted...we're in a semi-detached rented house. The sechs has become more frequent recently yay but I'm conscious of bed banging against the neighbour's wall!
Cervix watch, mine feels like a round spot on a fleshy lump up the top...if I futul round up there I find more cm although I get plenty on my knick knacks too.
I am struggling to shake the negative feelings off after a tough week at work culminating with an argument with a colleague...she's a chip on a shoulder type. Not just me, she's just really hard to work with!

CaveMum · 18/02/2012 06:57

Just taken a test - negative.

According to the Law of Sod the droid will show up in the next 12 hours.

I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be: the last two cycles I cried when the test said no, so I'll call this progress.

Looks like I'll be off to LK Bennet after all Smile.

Northey · 18/02/2012 07:01

How about your temp? I still feel hopeful for you.

OP posts:
CaveMum · 18/02/2012 07:15

It's down again, though still just above the base line. I'm either 14 or 15 dpo today, so it's not like I've tested too early.

Will have to wait and see. If no droid by Monday I've got to phone the clinic and get advice anyway.

Northey · 18/02/2012 07:21

Bugger at the slightly dropped temperature. But like you said, all we can do is wait and see. And you could go till Tuesday really and still be within the bounds of recent cycles.

Oh arse cavey. I think you're entitled to some chocolate either way.
Well I slept for 11 hours! Presumed combo of a manic week at work and a 5k run.5 weeks on Sunday is my 10k! Shock

CaveMum · 18/02/2012 11:12

Ta ladies, there will definitely be chocolate in the offing and/or cake - I've started spotting Sad

Told you the metal fecker would put in an appearance AFTER I've tested.

'Scuse the language but: arse, feck, bollocks and wanker!

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 18/02/2012 11:25

Argh Angry for you! Why does it do that and waste the cost of a pee stick?!
Plenty of chocolate for you and have a few shots of whisky cowgurl.

jewelsandbinoculars · 18/02/2012 11:34

Balls, cave, I'm sorry. Had had my fingers crossed for you.

I suspect mine isn't far behind. Cups how you feeling?

Fuck, cave. I'm sorry. Will cling onto tiny residual hope that it might be implantation-y.

OP posts:
blonderthanred · 18/02/2012 12:57

Sorry Cave. Hope you have good cake to hand.

FriendofDorothy · 18/02/2012 13:14

Ahh Cavey I'm sorry. Bastard droid.

CaveMum · 18/02/2012 16:43

Well fellow cowgirls, here's some menkul to add to the, erm, menkul: the spotting has stopped. Nothing. Nada. Niente.

Droid doesn't normally go like this for me (but what is normal these days???!). Usually it's spotting for a couple of hours followed by full on "Battle of the Somme" conditions and cramps. But today, heavy spotting at about 10am-ish which trailed off so that, by 3pm, there was nothing, and has been nothing ever since.

Help! This is messing with my head! The test said "no baybee". Will have to chat with the clinic on Monday and see what they say.

Northey · 18/02/2012 17:07

Ha! I knew I was right not to abandon hope yet. Will you retest?

OP posts:
Northey · 18/02/2012 17:09

Sorry, that sounds weirdly combative now I read it again. I am just pleased that it might not be a write off after all.

OP posts:
PhoenixFromTheFlames · 18/02/2012 17:13

Keep the faith cavey... I get spotting for a couple of days before droid but if you don't usually, then you're not out! See what your temp says I the morning.
So, BESH, should we book a foreign holiday? If we spend the baybee fund money we can almost afford it....
