Interesting cavey...

Re the namechange, you asked for a few facts about me. I'm a lawyer, grew up and live in London. Hobbies include some quite rubbish photography, gym, running, yoga and trying to make a baby (of course). I like fast cars, luxury hotels, spenny toiletries and various other things I can't easily afford. I am all out of inspiration at the moment.

We are making the most of being child-free and have ordered last minute tix to go and see a comedy show at the theatre tonight. There are some upsides to not having a baby and we might as well make the most of them!

I'll wait till Monday and speak to the clinic first. If droid hasn't shown within a few days then I will retest.

Good ideas! I like OpenAndShutterCase so far....

How do I actually name change? Do I have to open a new account? I've never tried it before.

CaveMum · 18/02/2012 22:11

You need to go to your "My Mumsnet" from a PC/laptop. Don't think you can access it from a phone.

There's an option somewhere to change your nickname. Sorry that's not very helpful, it's been ages since I name changed - Christmas - and I'm posting from my phone so can't walk through the steps!

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 19/02/2012 08:55

You can keep your account. If anyone PM's you by your old name you still get it.
Go to MyMumsnet, log in, go to registration details, then go into chat nickname, you can add a new one and as long as no-one else has used it, it'll be changed!
Today my luffly friend is coming over, her fella walked out on her recently git so must not be smug marrieds.

eurochick · 19/02/2012 09:22

Thanks!

CaveMum · 19/02/2012 09:43

Well, droid was waiting with a vengeance this morning. The Somme is in progress and I'm cramping like buggery Sad

HWHNN has been an angel, he went to the village shop for a paper and came back with flowers and fresh Danish pastries Grin

Don't feel too bad, all things considered.

Northey · 19/02/2012 09:48

Bollocks. I'm sorry. I hope the pastries and flowers help - what a nice thing for him to do.

Stoopid Droid

eurochick · 19/02/2012 16:40

Boooo.

We have just launched into this cycle's round of swi. Twas really rather nice and not a chore. But we are weekend people anyway. It's the Tuesday night sessions after a long day at work that are more difficult.

CaveMum · 19/02/2012 20:19

My droidal sugar cravings have kicked in.

I've been very good and not had any chocolate/cakes/biscuits in the house so am now baking a cake to satisfy my need!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 19/02/2012 21:59

Hey peeps,

Sorry to hear Metal marvin got you cave

I survived the visiting children with limited menkulling, and am currently cd5 and back on it.

Pheonix, I say go for the holiday. After 2 yrs of putting stuff off, in case I get duffed, have gone and booked a ski holiday for 2013. Yes, I may be duffed (ho ho), I may have to sit and watch everyone else have fun, but you know what? I shall, from now on, ignore the possibility of baybees, and just crack on with having fun.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 19/02/2012 22:18

Howdy sinkers we've actually decided against going abroad...don't know why, just the thought made us edgy, we'd have been cleaning out the 'baby fund' to pay for it which made me unhappy. So we're looking at UK preferably kid free holidays. Any recommendations? Who went somewhere with a comedy name? Was there some kind of discount website...?! We'll be going first week of March.

eurochick · 19/02/2012 22:20

Have a look at superbreaks for bargains. I have found cheap UK weekends on there when going away for weddings.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 19/02/2012 22:41

Ooh had a quick look found a luffly one in norwich with a spa, thanks euro!

Northey · 19/02/2012 23:31

Howdy, ovary wranglers.

Am struggling through the final stages of a job application - why is the final 1/8 the hardest bit of all?

Northey · 20/02/2012 08:17

Northey is the last 1/10 the free text spin a web of half truths about your utter brilliance?.. I always hated that bit. But now, on the plus side, I get to read other peoples attempts. Snigger.

FriendofDorothy · 20/02/2012 09:32

Hmm I have ovulated spctacularly early again. Wonder what that's about? Confused

Northey · 20/02/2012 10:14

A web of complete (but articulately and persuasively expressed) bollocks. Well no, i suppose it is based on truth. Just glammed up. Done now, and submitted. Hey ho.
