TTC on the frontier of polite society . Shoot outs compulsory.

New joiners will be welcomed after completing the Beshtionnaire and showing us their blazing saddle.

In. Not to.

Northey · 11/02/2012 16:13

I managed to point out it was a crashingly insensitive thing to say. And then gulped down a sob while he was briefly out of the room.

Shock Buggerlugs! I'd want to know more if I were you - in what context, what did they say etc etc?! Are you creeped out a bit??

Bet you had an imaginary threesome with them Grin

CaveMum · 11/02/2012 17:05

Oo er Bugs! I'm sure your the epitome of all gorgeousness and justifiably included, but are they swingers or summat?! Wink

I'm with all the two fingers to the insta-differs Angry

About 18 months ago I had some reflexology to try and restart my cycles and the lady was luffly. She said we (Brits in particular) are really bad at talking about fertility issues. She said, in her experience, very few people get pregnant straight away - most of them lie about how long it took, which makes the rst of us feel like failures.

I'm lucky in that I don't have many friends! My best buddy is also ttc and is also having problems. If she was a MNer I'd have her in BESHland in a shot as she'd fit right in Grin

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 11/02/2012 18:45

Some people just have no clue and no intention of having any clue...to be honest, until we started ttc I had no real idea ha wanted to use 'conception' there of how difficult it can be. In my.family no-one seemed to have any difficulty and as cavey's foot laydee says, we just don't open up about fertility issues. When I've mentioned ours, I've been amazed how many people actually confess to their own troubles. But if yiu don't have difficulty or weren't that desperate to have kids and you don't know anyone who has had difficulties, you live in this bubble. Totally unrealistic and insensitive to say the least.
Now bugs you can't drop a bombshell like that and run! I mean, you are a stunner Wink I've seen her pics on the fb but I'm curious to know: a. How it came up and b. In what context they discuss you?!

ewwwwww! Is the DH at least attractive?!?

Was she trying to come onto you in rl do you think?

wrt your sister, some people open their mouths and stick their feet right in, don't they? Sad

Blimey bugs that's as raunchy as it sounded initially! They weren't propositioning you were they? Go for a RL trial?!
My sister has been luffly, she fell pregnant easily but has never rubbed it in, she's been ace throughout. Thing I'm most thankful for aside from hugs and chocolate is her suggesting I venture on here.
Just to fuel the menkul I will add total exhaustion today with blinding headache and minor nose bleeds for the last few days. Have bought a double pack FRER and a box of tampax.

FriendofDorothy · 11/02/2012 20:16

Gah I wish. My sister is lovely, but she only had to drop her knickers to get pregnant, twice, and she definitely rubs it in.

Northey · 11/02/2012 20:16

I live in utter dread of my sister getting diffed. So much so that I don't think I could even be in the same place as her. But our relationship is currently somewhat rocky.

And blimey, bugs. Will you be able to look him in the eye again?

I cried for hours both times she told me she was pregnant. I was even more upset when I found out that her second one was a girl.

will be rather gutted disappointed this cycle, but then again could have all inclusive drunken holiday if I'm not Hmm that's a silver lining....

CaveMum · 11/02/2012 21:24

Split the difference and test on Monday Grin

Not too sure when droid is due for me, anything between next Friday and next Monday depending on what game my body feels like playing. The nausea has worn off, but I'm still feeling exhausted, despite not getting out of bed till 10.15 Blush

eurochick · 11/02/2012 21:33

Ah jewels I see. Perfectly understandable. I actually prefer them. I had a kidney infection in my late teens and my bladder has never been the same since! Dildocam is definitely preferable in my case to trying to hold in a mega wee while someone presses on my abdomen.

Sorry for the droids and preggo friends. I can join on both scores - droid arrived this morning and went to see the last one of my female friends to be undiffed this afternoon. Guess what? She's 16 weeks. It was a hard won win though - IVF after trying for a couple of years. But it is hard to feel like I am being left behind. Surprisingly, I am not a gibbering wreck. I reckon I am in shock between the arrival of Droid and that news. It'll hit me later.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 11/02/2012 21:46

Ah euro I did wonder but was afraid to ask. Bless for your friend, definitely a hard win and totally deserving but still hard for you to take I'm sure. How far into the prescription drug taking are you now?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 11/02/2012 23:52

Hey ladies.

Back from lurverly meal out. Except for a random conversation with the waiter, starting with "here for a special occasion?" then culminating with "I wish we could go out, but I'll be cooking for valentines. You see we have a little boy, and we just can't afford treats". What the actual fuck? Admittedly, after the testing today I'm several glasses of wine down, but actually seething.

Maybe I'm being a liiiitle unreasonable. Shall go to bed. Bugs I'm disturbed- that is not chat I could comfortably have about my friends husbands!

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 12/02/2012 07:49

fellowflamey I've concluded people moan about their circumstances even when they may have everything the person they're moaning to wants. Who can afford to go out on Valentine's? Rip off! Reckon we'll be dining c/o Tesco meal deal.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 12/02/2012 08:58

Ps Bfn with fmu on a FRER this morning. Feel like a wally for getting excited.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 12/02/2012 09:19

burningbird shucks. Realy feel for you. I'm in totally the same place. Why do we let ourselves get our hopes up? If we could just leave the bloody sticks alone, there'd be less of this crap.

Hope you can have a nice Sunday morning. Brew
