With you on the menkulling pheonix. Think I'll allow myself to crack at the weekend and test. I just don't think I can face the droid with still the hope against expectation of a baybee.

Shall ensure copious wine in house. And given ill be testing with first pee of the day, it could get messy.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 10/02/2012 12:47

I actually find bfn harder to take than just Droid turning up. My cycle has become regular ish so I only test if Droid as awol.

eurochick · 10/02/2012 13:34

Sink that's an impressive return from the brink.

jewels how annoying. After all that water too! Do they really do external scans to look at your ladybits? I haven't had one of those since my inital investigations for evil periods about 15 yrs ago. All recent scans have been internal (which thankfully requires an empty bladder).

Fee I am with you on the BFNs. I hate that I now have to test so I can stop the drugs.

I feel like Droid is imminent. I'm ok(ish) about it though. I had a wobble earlier in the week, but I am over it now. I am enjoying 2 or 3 drugs free days between stopping the immuno suppressants and starting the Letrozole again! It is so nice to feel like myself.

Northey · 10/02/2012 13:55

Wow sink, well done. I am with you on the splashy weeing. Some people must just have amazing flow and direction control, that's all I can say. Either that or quite skanky loo seats.

Sorry about your wobble, euro. Do the drucks make you more emotional? I know work stress doesn't help either.

CupOfBrownJoy · 10/02/2012 13:59

Grin @ Northey. I've got quite used to weeing on my hand when I'm fiddling with my opk's Blush

Northey · 10/02/2012 14:04

I have in the past bled all over piss sticks, whilst trying to convince myself that this Culloden was in fact an itsy bitsy dainty implantation bleed.

By the way, euro, the month of my hollow win, I bled so much I was flooding through super tampax in half an hour. Though bearing in mind the eventual disaster, that's probably not a story to comfort yourself with.

jools, kudos for cycling with a full bladder!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 10/02/2012 14:07

That's got to be the sensible way. Pre drilling, droid put in an appearance every 12 months or so. Only done in aug, and things are better, but last cycles have been 44, 60 and 37 days. I'm half expecting another 60 day cycle so am attempting to stop the madness before it starts..

Northey · 10/02/2012 14:15

Is ovarian drilling the only thing they've tried for you, sinky? Your response sounds a bit like mine - a triumphantly normal (for everyone else) cycle to start, then a depressing lengthening back out to normal for you (ie hardly menstruating at all).

OP posts:
eurochick · 10/02/2012 14:36

Don't tell me that Northey! The Letrozole I take from days 2-6 can cause birth defects. That is why you only take them so early in the cycle. Oh well, it'll make a change to have something new to worry about...

Northey · 10/02/2012 14:48

But you are stick-pissing as well, europa, so will not be fooled by apparently menstrual bleeding in the same way I was.

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 10/02/2012 15:08

On the damned drug as well (clomid) 4 cycles pre drill, taken 2 since. After saying I could only have 6 total, I've been given another 6... No injectables- consultant doesn't think any additional benefit.

Have ov- ed on one cycle- the short one. Think I might have done this month, but I thought thaton the 60 day cycle as well..

How about you? (apologies - sure you've said loads but its hard catching up on these threads!). My consultant is confident this'll work..

eurochick · 10/02/2012 15:37

True, Norfy, true.

Clomid does seem to work well for women who don't ovulate. There are a lot of success stories around.

CaveMum · 10/02/2012 15:44

Sink I was told that you get Clomid for 6 successful cycles, ie they only count the ones where you ovulate. That's what is bothering me do much, I've ov'd on each cycle so far so feel like I'm running out of chances before they refer me for IVF. Really don't know if I'm ready for that Sad

[glass half empty]

Northey · 10/02/2012 15:46

Metformin for 18months (worked for a couple of cycles, then body shrugged and ignored it). Then ovarian drilling (worked for a couple of cycles etc). I was promised in October that they would prescribe Clomid at my Dec appointment. Then at the December appointment they fobbed me off till March, and I turned unaccountably meek and didn't argue with them. But I am ready for them if they try it again in March. I am not leaving that consulting room without some hard drugs.

FriendofDorothy · 10/02/2012 16:13

Gah. Fuckity fuck fuck. Period is starting. 18 months of not fucking conceiving. Fertility appointment next week. I am royally fucked off. No FUFC for me it would see :(

Northey · 10/02/2012 16:23

Fuck, dor. What a pile of cock. But there is still sort of time for a FUFC - you know, the sort where they give you an investigation/treatment timetable to start from the first day of your next droid, which will then, crucially, never come. That is DEFINITELY the sort of FUFC you will have.

OP posts:
PhoenixFromTheFlames · 10/02/2012 17:34

doesn't know what an FUFC is and feels a bit dim
dottie that 100% sucks :( don't know what to say really other than it's crappy. We feel for you. I hope they get to the bottom of what's going on sharpish.
I am getting huskier by the minute. Quite weekend planned to menkul

Northey · 10/02/2012 17:48

I think it's a Fuck You Fertility Clinic thing.

OP posts:
PhoenixFromTheFlames · 10/02/2012 18:15

Ahh

sinkingflameofhilarity · 10/02/2012 18:57

Arsewank dor. The evil droid has no mercy.

cavemum I don't think I'm oving, but next appointment is meant to be April. That's my ivf referral clinic appt :( but, of course, consultant is sure it won't come to that. No sure im ready either.

northey why the hanging around in your clinic? When I was referred they barely spoke to me but flung a prescription for clomid and provera in my direction and told me to get busy...

Northey · 10/02/2012 19:03

Because they are evil bastards who send me a different person each time so there's no continuity of care.

No, they prefer to drill on PCOS patients first before Clomid. And the drilling sort of worked in that I got diffed (albeit ectopically), and then I guess the first woman thought a 3 month wait would be enough to see if the drilling effects would be good for another diffment, but then sadly the stupid next woman (who is the one I really blame) seemed not to realised I was there for longstanding infertility, and seemed to think i was there for follow up from my ectopic, so said another three months would do no harm. Actually, I blame myself for not stopping her and insisting. I just didn't quite realise till afterwards that she had been quite so clueless.

OP posts:
Northey · 10/02/2012 19:05

When we're you first referred, fireoffunniness?

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 10/02/2012 19:32

Who? Me? :)

First clinic I think April 2011 after 1 yr + off pill and 1 period. Got clomid from the off at 100mg. Did jack shit. But took 3 months to get blood day 21 prog to prove that. Then drilled in August and clomid since again. I now work in the hospital I go to, so spend my days (illicitly) reading my results/clinic letters. Don't tell. V much disciplinary activity.. It's sooo easy to get quiet and maliable though isn't it. I have taken ghj to all but first clinic and he's much more willing to argue than me...

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 10/02/2012 20:52

I cannot look at blood tests any more surreptitiously, they have changed the system so it says who last looked at them. Would look suss if it showed I'd seen the results before the medics!
I have had some spotting, well cm tinged with a clot tmi? don't usually spot this early but it's not unheard of....the menkul continues
if I'm honest what I'd really like to do is an 'am I preggers?' Fred in conception but those days are long gone. I'll.just sit and while the weekend away thinking about it

sinkingflameofhilarity · 10/02/2012 21:01

Oh, go on pheonix, I'll follow and berate you for being menkul. Let's see if we can start ww3 on a Friday evening...
