TTC Super Ovulation...

hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

Jaffa!very wise words. I am glad we have this thread as it is difficult to see people moving on and us sitting still month after month. sue!are u on 2.5mg or 5 or 7mg letrozole?

Duggs I am on 2.5 of letrozole so the lowest dose. I will see how the scan goes next week as I am guessing I will have to go up to the next dose. I am wondering whether my small follicles are due to the acupuncture as he is trying to lengthen my cycle from 23 days back up to 26-28. I will speak to dr s next week but Louise didn't seem too concerned as said the follies should grow. Maybe my follicles were too big too early last month which explains the short cycle. Thanks girls for listening to me moan on!

Thanks Snoopy, looking forward to meeting you all as well :). You have to let the tears out sometimes and why not when you see the sonographer, I am sure they get it all the time.

Euro hope you have got out of that mud pit........

Sue if you can't have a moan on here where can you, we are all here to listen and help if we can.

Thanks Pebbles. AF is on her way but my mood has lifted a little today. I just picked up next cycle's Letrozole prescription so I am good to go on day 2.

sue moan away! It must be so frustrating to have gone from getting pg easily to finding it hard.

Euro my af is also on its way so I can start my first cycle of super ov!! Grin Only thing is I go skiing on 4th March....

Hi Ladies, i'm new to mumsnet, I'm Lisa i'm nearly 39 and ttc #1. I've had 2 miscarriages and I'm taking prednisolone at the moment and I'm hoping to start on the super ovulation treatment after I see Shehata on Monday. My last 2 cycles have been all over the place and i'm getting sick of trying to chase that egg so i'm hoping this treatment will make it a bit easier :-)

sue I used to have 21-24 day cycles but now have 27/28d ones through acupuncture. I told Mr S and he was surprised but nonplussed.

Jaffa I have been having acupuncture for about a month now and I was told that it takes a few weeks to start having an effect. I am guessing that is why my cycle is suddenly longer this month - it was just a bit of a shock!

Pebbles I wouldnt worry about the skiing - if you are pregnant you will just have to not ski and visit the apres bars instead (for a non-alcoholic gluhwein). I have wasted so much time over the last 2 years of not going on holiday just in case I was pregnant! We are going away in April to Bermuda for my 40th but I was in 2 minds when we booked it.

It's funny how so many of us seem to have our Afs at the same time!

Hi all, how is everyone doing?

sue I know what you mean about the holiday thing. Seeing as I have been trying for soooooo long I just book things as wouldn't have been anywhere! Is your af due soon as well? Think I should be due now seeing as ovulated on day 13 so now 15 dpo. Normally come on around day 32 but think should be earlier this month with the metformin and early ov. Have been crampy on and off all week so wish it would just hurry up. Even poas today just in case as am off out for dinner and then drinks at the ice bar. :)

Have to go to a 1st Birthday party for friends little boy tomorrow so you can imagine how much am looking forward to that!

hello all, feels like a longtime since I last posted, but I have been lurking from time to time. I hope that all is going well and that those that have been a bit blue aren't further depressed by my post Grin

I felt like there was nothing much I could contribute as the Super OV is not working for me (4th cycle.) Mr S has been increasing my meds each cycle without any success. This week I have seen him twice, done 9 injections and nothing...well except a huge bill at the end! Wink

I think there must be an underlying cause why the drugs aren't working. Have spent the whole day on a research frenzy and think I may have some other issues to add to the High NK etc.

Just wanted to say that Louise told me that they have increased success during cycle 4 and 5 on the Super OV prog...wishing you all good luck

Cinny do you normally have probs getting pregnant or is it since you started on the preds? That's the problem I seem to have so wondering about coming off of them now. Will you look at IVF? Louise told me the same thing that most women get preg on round 4 or 5 too so let's hope you are lucky next time. Have you had your DHs sperm tested or tried IUI?

Pebbles I am not sure my AF for a while as waiting to OV still. I have got another scan at NLC on thurs so praying that my follies have increased by then or I also have a problem going on. How did the 1st birthday go? Did you manage to put on a brave face?

Hey cinni welcome to the thread. I agree that us super ov bunch must have another issue happening now other than nk cells. With a high probability being egg related as that is the area that they know the least about apart from quality decreases with age? Its good to share the knowledge though. I'm 10dpo but trying not to test until at least 12dpo as have never ever had any positives until 14dpo before so what is the point. Have a cough and cold and generally feeling rubbish and decidedly in pregnant. Looking forward to Sunday's meet up Grin

Oops meant "UN pregnant" I feel very UN pregnant Sad who is up for a little lunch in amersham old town on Sunday - cafe rouge or pizza express or somewhere simple like that?

ooooh duggs that wait to test, horrible. Last month I tested on day 10 po and thought (when negative) it can't possible show now and then did a test nearly everyday until af! Really hope that you get a better result and your body is playing tricks with the un-pregnant feelings!

suemays I seem to get pregnant within 4 cycles... Now fast approaching 5th and can't quite believe it! My cycles are usually very long and I never can predict how long or when I may OV, which is why I am on this Super OV, but I feel that it may be forcing my body to do things quicker than it likes. Coupled with the fact that the drugs have had no effect, I think that I have 'wasted' four months and that I am not ovulating at all! Louise told me that the pred can delay my period, but Mr S said that I wasn't normal as I had taken the trigger shot and then not got an AF for a further 24 days.

cinny sorry about the lack of success. Are you going for a 5th round then? did your research throw anything up?

duggs either of those location sounds great to me. I'm easy - see what sue/pebbles want to do. I am also on 10dpo so we'll see what this week brings. I didn't realise or missed the bit about you having your IUI the same day - sorry about that - lets hope this works so you don't have to go down the IVF route.

pebbles hope the party wasn't too bad. x

Ahh well then by Sunday we'll both know one way or another snoopy!think PQ is testing this weekend too! I am trying not to test tomorrow morning but I bet i will. . Will u or do u have more self control than me (a toddler in a sweet shop)
