TTC Super Ovulation...

duggs1976 · 17/01/2012 22:21

hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

Hi newnamejaffa! I saw Louise today. I had seen her before at my first couple of appointments but have never contacted her out of hours (and as far as I know don't have her details). But hopefully this won't happen again so won't have another weekend panic!

That's good news about the Ovitrille. I think I paid much more than £20 at Boots. If I ever get to use the one I have, I shall get the next one through that method!

Jaffa it's def not implantation as its quite heavy plus have the usual cramps etc. I am on CD23 so yes its too early but thats the steroids mucking up my cycles as usual! Just worried I have a luteal phase defect now as it was only 11DPO.

Damn I have just paid £46 for the letrozole and ovitrelle so will get it from NLC if I need it next month.

Sorry to here you got your af Sue, hope you are not feeling too upset. Hopefully just the pred and not a leutal phase defect. Must be annoyingvmuckingbup your cycle though!
Mr S just said to contact Cheryl when I need it and will be delivered to me although they charge extra to deliver weekends. Still can't believe didn't put it in the fridge, duh!
Appointment ok Jaffa just to tell me there was no chromosome defect detected from the tissue they took and could have been a boy...... Good luck fr tomorrow.
I am up for an Amersham meet ifvokwith everyone?

jaffajiffy · 31/01/2012 05:16

Ah pebbles I'm sorry it was related to the MC. Good it wasn't a chromosome problem, but it must be hard knowing your loss might have been a boy.
sue what does mr S think about AF coming? Certainly sounds like AF. Time for wine and chocolate?

hey ladies...

yes how about an amersham meet up. Do people want to do a mid week evening or a weekend day ?

I'm on my 3rd super ov cycle.. and yes I know the feelings when 1 and 2 don't work. It kind of makes me wonder.. if timings are ok and there are eggs..soI am off to NLC to get DH sperm re tested and am trying IUI this month. If that doesn't work then it really is a case of the eggs that are coming out must not be viable.

I know that naturally most of our eggs are not viable each month or we'd all have 30 kids each .. but I have said I will give it 3 IUI goes and if all fail then I am forced into IVF where they have all the eggs out there in one go.

Age is a huge factor.. but nothing we can do about that.
I hope one of us gets a BFP at some point although we are all so early on it is difficult not to let expectations run away with us. Although if it was that easy everyone would be at it.

x

Oh sue sorry about af coming. That is early. bugger thought this was going to be your month too. Was it you who normally gets pregnant pretty easily? if so surely next month is your month! all that bloody timing and controlled circumstances??

pebbles I am few miles north of Banbury now but lived just outside Chelmsford for a while, Ealing in London all over really!! Get about a bit me Smile

duggshope trip was good. someone has statistically got to get a bfp soon on this Sup ov thread! Heres hoping anyway.....

jaffa keep testing. It could be you (she's says imagining big finger pointing down at you)

Oh I can do a Amersham meet up but could only do a weekend day as it's just too far in evening (about 1.5 hrs for me)

Sorry about the - Jaffa but it may still be just too early, not over yet......
Am feeling ok about knowing the sex now but did freak me out a bit at first!I actually found out on Friday morning when I spoke to Cheryl and we were staying in Salisbury the night. We went to the cathedral and I got a bit sentimental and lit a candle, unlike me as very unreligous!

I can generally do a weekend or mid week meet up Duggs, whatever works for everyone really. Have you all met already on here?

Snoopy I lived in Chelmsford for a while too! :)

I can make any of those dates for a meet up.

Snoopy I was me who normally gets preg quickly - damn drugs messing me up! At least my period seems to have gone back to normal as it had almost stopped. I am guessing I wont conceive until I get back to normal.

Jaffa any news for us yet?

Hi all, hope everyone is ok.

I should be good for the 19th.x

I also had a question re excersize on the 2ww. When I was doing ivf I would stop all exercise in the 2ww, not because they told me to as they tell you to carry on as normal. I followed Zita West's book which said it is best not to. Do you all carry on at the gym etc in your 2ww? I am thinking that I can't keep stopping every couple of weeks!

Spotting so AF en route. Bfn this am. I'm very sad and weighing up options and need to speak to mr S as DH tests were very good.
Off to acupuncture now to see what her advice is too.

Sorry to hear about the spotting. :(

Pebbles I have generally carried on exercising regardless (a mix of yoga, gym cardio machines, weights and outdoor runs) but for some reason this cycle I feel like I shouldn't. I have felt like this once or twice before and listened to my body and done gentler workouts. Most cycles I haven't felt like I wanted to wind it back.

Hi euro

How are you? just reading back on other thread I think you missed trigger shot but went for it anyway? Will you be testing soon?

duggs when is your IUI appointment? Have to google IUI.

It's not easy to keep up to date with everyones treatment!

Nite nite x (sorry just laughing at my bed time 9.32...how sad!)

SleepyFergus · 02/02/2012 21:43

Just stumbled across this thread. I was on clomid for 14 cycles but without trigger shot. I conceived on cycle 8 but sadly miscarried.

After cycle 14 I moved onto injectibles. It was self injecting the same drug as used for IVF (plus the trigger shot) but in much smaller doses. (apols, but I'll de damned if I can remember the name of it right now!) I was allowed to do 3 cycles of this and then would gave to move onto IVF. Luckily on cycle 2 I conceived and went on to have my DD.

After a while we tried again but I knew I wouldn't really be eligible for the same kind of fertility treatment. So I used a herb called Agnus Castus which helps boost ov, and 6 cycles later, here I am 20 weeks pregnant

Good luck to you all out there, I just wanted to share my story and perhaps give you an idea of what else to try. I will try to remember the name of the drug I was on too and post back.

eurochick · 02/02/2012 21:58

Thanks Sleepy. It's always good to hear success stories. I hope you have a lovely pregnancy.

snoopy yes, I missed the trigger shot again but went for it anyway. We were already trying by the time we knew anyway. The scan showed a visible corpus luteum so I definitely oved when I thought I did.

I don't usually test but I suppose I should around the middle of next week so I know if I can stop the Pred.

I will be off to bed soon. I have been sleeping really badly for the past few days and Mr euro compounded the pain by snoring last night (he is not a snorer usually). I have been like a jet lagged bear with a sore head all day!

Hi all - just spoken to the Homecare people about delivery of the Ovitrelle and it does indeed cost £20 but then there is a £14 charge for delivery unless you get it delivered to nlc.

Trying to work out the chepest way to do it and wondered where anyone had found the best price??

Pebbles I spoke to homecare yesterday and they said delivery was included in the £20. Letrozole is cheaper at Asda as I paid £15 for 10 tablets. Has anyone else got it for cheaper?
I also do more gentle exercise in the 2ww. I don't do any high impact and make sure I don't get too tired. My acupuncturist said only do 2 to 3 hours of gentle exercise a week.

Pebbles73 · 03/02/2012 18:13

That's really strange Sue, is that delivered to your home? Thanks for the info re Asda and exercise, maybe will just do my class and cut out the weights when the time comes

Report
suemays · 03/02/2012 20:53

Pebbles they told me it was delivered to my house for that price but I got the feeling they didnt know what they were doing there as I had to speak to a few different people. Maybe you should call them again. I had already bought the ovitrelle from Asda this month so will try homecare next month if I need it.
I think weights are fine but just dont exercise to the point of exhaustion and drop down on the kgs.
