I have had 2 pints of zoiderrrrr and a glass of mulled wine. I have been in a torchlit procession and danced round a fire but it wasn't as good at it sounded. Lots of pseudo hippy artistic types wearing evergreenery round their heads being spiritual.

I'd like that but I'd swap the artistitc hippies for Steeleye Span doing Gaudete.

My school was nuts on Taizé. I twitch at clapping in songs. Assembly liturgy mass things were not fun for me as a result.

I can't go to church properly since the ectopic. Well I can, but I basically walk in, think "what the fuck did you do that for, then?", and just flare my nostrils sarkily for the rest of the service, in top teenage stylee.

I was like that when my Mum died Northey. When I did get there I just sobbed all.the way through. I got back.in the end though I found a different church.

I'm up. Last day of work today, finishing at lunchtime. We're braving Tesco this afternoon (aka seventh circle of hell), though we've already bought our size of a small elephant turkey in Waitrose [attempts to be posh]

Oh I forgot about the franglais Fred. We already speak Franglais in Guernsey so it would be like speaking my mother tongue!

I am feeling much better today - although I have rampant backache but no sign of the droid yet. wish it would just get on with it. I still think it is going to be a rubbish birthday present tomorrow morning.

dottie I feel like we're cycle buddies. I too have the rampant back ache. Spotting stopped when I stopped poking around but I don't think it'll be long. Maybe 24th, that'd be cd28 and I do average 27 day cycle.
Best of British to all those shopping today. I need to shop but only for co-codamol preparing to do battle with the Droid and some Palmers cocoa butter. Seriously, I used some of my Nan on laws at the weekend on my oh so dry skin, it's uh-maz-ING!

Cocoa butter is ace. It's even better when you delegate the task of smearing it all over you to someone else. I love the stuff and it smells nice too.

We survived Hell Tesco and managed not to buy enough food to feed a small army. We've also had a dance lesson tonight and HWHNN is feeling very proud as he's finally nailed his Waltz spin turns! Luring him for sechs should be easy tonight
