I forgot to add earlier that you are most definitely not a horrible person. That is a fact.

eurochick · 21/12/2011 09:42

Dot, I get that too. I am less fun and more bitter than I was a year or so ago. I don't particularly like the person ttc has made me. I hate how obsessed I have become by my cycle. I can't think how I used to flll my days without thinking about ttc in any way. I'm now a dull ttc bore. And I haven't got hammered in ages.

Faithy I am an atheist but I think that is a good message. My view of the bible (and I hope you don't find this disrespectful, it is not intended to be) is that it was put together as a way of controlling the population and making governance easier. So for that reason it is full of good moral messages - don't steal from one another, act towards others as you would wish them to act towards you, etc. If everyone followed it, the police and courts would have nothing to do. So I can see value in the bible's messages, even if I don't believe in the religion of which it forms part.

Gosh, this post has gone all serious. That's better.

SantasCave · 21/12/2011 09:52

Northey I hope you've got your tin hat and flak jacket with you Xmas Wink

Euro I agree with the others [sheep], it's easy to get bogged down in the ttc detail and start finding things a chore. After last nights sechs [success] HWHNN and I actually planned our sechsing for the Christmas period Xmas Hmm. Talk about taking the romance out of it all!
We've agreed every other day (with a day off on 25th, as we're likely to be too knackered/drunk) with a concentrated every day effort next week. Day 10 today, so I'm assuming an ETO (estimated time of ovulation) on Day 19 like last month.

As I say, Snot about me Bible bashing but everyone would benefit from that message.
I hate how I am at this point in my cycle. I snapped at MSB this morning, well he did sit on my feet when trying to his socks on! Cos I was lying down it's hurt my back! But I an

As I say, Snot about me Bible bashing but everyone would benefit from that message. I get what you're saying about the Bible kat...but I hadn't realised how reliant I was on mine til it went up in smoke. Somehow a phone app one isn't the same!
I hate how I am at this point in my cycle. I snapped at MSB this morning, well he did sit on my feet when trying to his socks on! Cos I was lying down it's hurt my back! But I am mega mardy, a bit menkul but telling myself there's little chance cos MSB only started treatment after I laid my egg. Come on then Droid, let's av it

PerfectDromedary · 21/12/2011 09:58

This is the absolute worst time of year to be TTC. Not that there's ever a good time to be made insane by the sheer crappiness of long-term TTC. Much loves to all of you, especially those currently being attacked by satanic little droids.

SantasCave · 21/12/2011 09:58

Sorry, posted too soon.

*Dor8 I know exactly what you mean about wanting to give up sometimes. It just feels like so much effort and there seem to be a whole lot of lows on this ttc rollercoaster.
However, [trying to be positive] as we are not currently diffed it is perfectly acceptable for us all to drink enough wine to fill a bath tub and eat our body weight in Quality Street this Christmas.

eurochick · 21/12/2011 11:03

Cave I am a day ahead of you - CD11 here. But provided the drugs I'm on don't mess with timing too badly, I am due to ovulate between Xmas Eve and Boxing Day (CD 14-16). I'm off for a dildocamming tomorrow to make sure the Letrozole is not overstimming me and to tell me when to take my trigger shot.

FriendofDorothy · 21/12/2011 11:11

Faithy you don't need to convert me as I am safely sitting on that bus - although I have to admit my faith is wavering somewhat.

Thanks for your support everyone. I think it just feels like a really shit week, especially as I thought I might get a birthday baby win. Should have guessed it wasn't be be!

Hopefully I will feel a bit better in a few days.

SantasCave · 21/12/2011 11:44

[offers Dor an eggnog]

AriesWithBellsOn · 21/12/2011 11:58

Morning everyone. This is a tough old bizniz and no mistake. Hang on in there everyone, and take your comfort where you can, whether that's from religion, family, sloe gin, Merlot, gin, absinthe, meths ......um....where was I? Sorry if this sounds flippant. I'm not being of course.

Dor, no one thinks you're a horrible person. It's just easy to get bogged down in this shitness that's all. If I had ever thought that the sight of a young mum smiling at her baybee would make me glower, I would be shocked. I guess it's just a case of trying. And trying. And trying. Though I think if Sister announces pregnancy no.2 this Christmas, I will struggle very badly. I just got a feeling about it

Oh yes. Today is the shortest day innit. Take heart SAD sufferers. It will now only get lighter for six months. Before you know it it will be June and light until 10pm and we'll all be diffed

We have midwinter festivities in our town this evening. It's an old pagan festival. Boo, you love it - a classic mixture of Christianity and woo. Torches, masks and everything.

Yes. And we will have timed our diffments perfectly for old-in-their-school-year baybees.

Anyone else reading that "Piss stick says no, but updiffed anyway?" thread? I am enjoying the great sneaky pleasure of pretending that obviously I have been pregnant all along.

SantasCave · 21/12/2011 15:43

Haven't seen that one Northey. I had to resist the temptation to post something rather rude on the "oh shit I'm pregnant aren't I?" thread in Chat this morning.

KatAndKit · 21/12/2011 15:47

She did pee on a stick and she isn't diffed.

AriesWithBellsOn · 21/12/2011 16:06

Ha! Reminded me of a onetime "BESH" who came in, pissed everyone off, got diffed immediately and then moaned about it, saying she wanted to stay and mess around with us lot for a little while before actually GETTING pregnant. She was steered firmly towards the PESH while we pelted her with rotten veg and didn't last long there either.

Why would you say "Oh shit I'm pregnant aren't I?" if you were actively TTC? You're either trying or you're not
