We usually get paid before Christmas as well but for the first time in 7 years we're getting paid afterwards. On the plus side that means January won't cripple me like it usually does!

MadameBoo · 27/11/2011 19:06

Smallboo is January too :)

AuntieDoris · 27/11/2011 19:08

I am currently loving being paid weekly!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 27/11/2011 19:09

We used our Tesco vouchers to get dnephew's presents. Spent a total of a quid, got £40 worth of toys Grin can't wait to play with it all, I mean watch him play Wink
I started a present fund in anticipation of Christmas. There is £15 in there :(

InTheSunshine · 27/11/2011 20:54

We do a secret Santa thing for the adults in our family. Means less shopping Grin.

I've spent most of the day puking. Self inflicted. Awful. Couldn't keep water down. Feeling more human now. Too old to drink vodka.

Grin

Have you had the toast and marmite yet? And it must be proper Marmite, not that feeble imitation Yeast Extract bollocks.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 27/11/2011 21:50

Marmite Envy
Did I tell you all MSB got his scan date through for Friday?

AuntieDoris · 27/11/2011 22:41

Aww I am just watching the Secret Millionaire. It's very strange as I keep seeing some of my old patients and colleagues!

Northey · 28/11/2011 06:56

Great news, hopeandcharity. Is there anything in particular you are hoping will come out of it?

Marmite has a very menacing sheen to it.

Northey · 28/11/2011 07:03

Droid is over, after one day of proper bleeding and one day of spotting. I used to gush gallons of gore (plz admire alliteration) for days. Anyone had a similar total change in droid after ovarian drilling/pregnancy loss/anything else? I've always had such fucked up menstrual habits I've got no idea what could count as normal.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 28/11/2011 07:27

Hoping the scan won't show s tumour that needs to be removed and MSB will stop panicking about it!
I should think lack of blood loss is a good thing but I'm not really in the know....

InTheSunshine · 28/11/2011 07:39

The marmite worked Grin. I ate 2 slices . It's a great source of bit B Havea so is veh good for potential differs.

Northey my needles woman says 2 days of bleeding is optimum. Before I went to see her mine would be a week. Now they are shorter but heavier. And hardly any PMT.

OP posts:
Northey · 28/11/2011 08:03

Ooh good, sunshine. I shall choose to feel all positive about it, then.

Though I shall carry on with vit B tablets rather than follow your marmite eating. Blee.

AuntieDoris · 28/11/2011 08:10

Ooo my droid only lasts 2-3 days with only 2 days being proper bleeding. I thought I was special weird!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 28/11/2011 08:23

Mine has been short since coming off the POP. Used to be long in my teens - 5-14 days. Now I get couple of days pre-Droid spotting, two heavier days then a couple more days spotting. Not too bad. Except for the pain. Forgot my heat patch. Think I may curl up and die have to nip to Boots in a bit. Despite co-codamol, ouch.

CaveMum · 28/11/2011 08:51

Can I just share an "AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH" moment with you all?

[sob] I had a shower this morning and came downstairs to make my breakfast only to find water ALL OVER MY KITCHEN FLOOR! [sob]

I've called the developer (it's a farking brand new house, we only moved in 4 months ago) and am waiting for him to call me back to let me know a plumber is coming. The water has come through the light fitting so I'm too scared to turn the kitchen lights on, so I can envisage needing an electrician and a plasterer to repair the ceiling.
I really don't need this!!

[sobs & wails]

[throws full on toddler-style tantrum complete with fist pounding and lots of snot]

Sad
AuntieDoris · 28/11/2011 10:00

Maybe that's it Faith. I was on Cerazette and I am sure my periods were longer before I was on that!I have found Feminax Ultra + Co-codamol + a wheat bag makes it manageable. Most of the time anyway!

eurochick · 28/11/2011 12:17

sunshine my needles woman prefers shorter and heavier too (I'm not sure that I agree - I was horrified about the bloodloss in the first couple of days of the last one). Mine were around a week, occasionally as long as 9 days, with a few days of proper bleeding and then a long tail off of light bleeding and then spotting. The last one was three days with hardly any tailing off. She was pleased. I felt like I had just had a haemhorrage.

Ariesgirl · 28/11/2011 12:34

Well that's good then. Because I feel like I'm in Nightmare on Elm Street for 1 1/2 days a month, and then it quickly dies away Grin

So where's my bloody (excuse the pun) baybee?

CaveMum · 28/11/2011 14:52

[wipes snot from nose]

Afternoon all, I've calmed down a bit now!

The developer has arranged for their plumber to come out first thing tomorrow to fix my wet kitchen situation. They've said the electrics will be fine as they will trip out if there is a problem.

On droid related matters I have to say my last two (first natural ones in donkeys years) have been short but heavy - real horror movie stuff! Sounds like that's acksherly a good thing Hmm

MadameBoo · 28/11/2011 18:02

Same here - 2 days of hell and then a slight drip for the last two.

Is Marmite good for hangovers?

MadameBoo · 28/11/2011 18:03

oh and Cave Kitchen sympathies dearie.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 28/11/2011 18:37

Sympathies for the kitchen cavey.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 28/11/2011 19:18

Ooooh I'm on our new iPad!! Grin
