Mo I think we are testing on the same day?!?! Thursday 26th?!?

oxox

lucylookout · 21/01/2012 18:36

Bugsy, I think I'll be on progesterone until about 20 weeks, but most say that when the placenta takes over (by 14 weeks about I think) that it's safe to come off. Each clinic varies a little I think.

Lissy, wow you've certainly had it all thrown at you over the last couple of weeks and I'm very impressed at how calm you're being (but to be honest, you've seemed very calm and positive throughout this whole ttc and pregnancy experience!) I'm glad you're having a close eye kept on you, and as you have said, if the baby is born now, she's be OK.

Mojangles and Sunny, go everything crossed for you two!

OP posts:
MoJangles · 21/01/2012 22:07

Lissy you?re really going through it. Here?s to long cervixes, clear bladders, and stable blood sugars. Are you even allowed choccie as a wine replacement with gestational diabetes?

Sunny yes Thursday is D-day! Are you POAS or blood testing? Blood test for me at 8.30, results by 4ish? [MoJangles tries to work out whether we can do ready steady pee for moral support]

Bugsy I was on progesterone for 20 weeks with DS.

Lexie glad to hear you sounding better. You?re obviously taking a very smart approach to getting to know your body and its ways, which can only help. This may not be your thing, but have you considered seeing a fertility specialist acupuncturist? Lots of stories of helping normalise cycles, and I?ve personally benefited a lot from mine.

Teds whoo whoo whoo for your twinks! Thanks

Keziah how frightening. Positive, shiny thoughts now.

I?ve done my statutory mid-TWW sales binge on clothes that won?t fit if successful: fitted shorts with frilled waistband anyone? Mo symptom of the day: lower back ache. A quick google helpfully confirms this as an early preg symptom so I?m banking it.

Pocket1 · 21/01/2012 23:09

Wonderful news Teds I'm so pleased that you're little twinnies are bedding down x

Sunny my love glad you had a good appointment but you know, you'll be announcing your BFP next week so although egg sharing is a wonderful plan, you wont need it Smile

Mojangles you'll also be announcing your BFP this week and i've got everything crossed for you, i wonder if it will be one, two or three Smile

Lucy I loved your 'tweedledum' description, it did make me smile. Then i realised that i often have a tweedledum look about me and i'm not even pregnant (yet!!) Wink

Dear Bugsy I know what you mean about the post 2ww being worse than the 2ww itself I felt the same but please try not to worry, you and little bean have done great so far and will continue to do so Wink I don?t know for sure but I think you take the progestorine till about week 12-16, until placental function takes over. I assume that they take blood tests to check but I'm not 100% sure?

Lexie, sorry about your results and I can understand why you were so upset but its great to see that you're already feeling a bit better about it. As the other girls have said, you can get your tests repeated and there are lots of options for you yet so best of luck with your upcoming appointments

Italian good to have you back. Are you still planning your FET next month?

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all doing well xxx

Pocket1 · 21/01/2012 23:14

Sorry Lissy I managed to miss your post.... wanted to say that you should be proud of yourself, you've had more than one curve ball thrown at you lately but you've come up smiling. Hope your appointment Tuesday goes okay Smile

JosieSmith1 · 22/01/2012 12:24

I posted yesterday but it's not here Confused

Pocket you are being really strong, I admire how you're dealing with things and good luck

Lissy sorry you've had to deal with a lot, hopefully you're feeling better soon

Lexie I had day 3 and 21 bloods. FSH was high so they thought my ovaries were having to work harder to make me ovulate. They wanted to check my AMH so it's another simple blood test. It turns out it is low, but I can still get pg so don't be too downhearted. They also did an internal scan to look at my ovaries and follicles so be prepared (it's not even as uncomfortable as a smear so don't be afraid)

Wonderful news Teds Smile

Because I'm not very good at following everyone, could someone who's having/had IVF give me a heads up on what you had to do

Hugs to all

MoJangles · 22/01/2012 14:47

Pocket when's the next go for you? Is it March? This is always a good time of year to go on a health kick, I find, little buds hinting at breaking and evenings just starting to suggest being lighter give me a boost, but there's still reassuringly lots of time before it's spring proper so you feel you can actually achieve something!

Sunny how's it going for you?

Mo symptom of the day: stuffy nose and blocked ears. Hurray! (Ignores lack of tiredness, no achey (.)(.), not remotely queasy). Relentless positiveness is the way forward.

DH has retired to bed with manflu, leaving me to lug 12kg DS around, not exactly the minimum lifting instructions I was ordered to follow. I've banished him to the spare room in revenge, not bringing nasty germs near Bish Bash and Bosh. (Tragic. Were unable to think of a trio of cute gender-neutral names (DS's cycle were Meenie, Miney and Mo, and DS was Mo till birth) so I suggested BB&B in jest and they've stuck.) Italian, I need you and your name genius!

Pocket1 · 22/01/2012 17:57

Monjanges you sound very very together on your 2ww (not nearly as mental as i was Grin). i had no symptoms either and i did get my BFP so dont worry about yours. I'm loving your embie names go Bish, Bash and Bosh go. Stay well and hope you avoid the cold/flu!! xxx

bugsylugs · 22/01/2012 22:26

Mojangles and sunnyg hoPe the wait is going ok. Not posting much all me am sorry am really panicking that it is all going pear shape. Hope it is me going crazy. Just no real symptoms boobs gone flatter . Had gone of coffee, didn't like smells bit of nausea with ds I know each is different just cannot relax and think happy and good.
Hope all have had a fun weekend

Pocket1 · 23/01/2012 18:46

Bugsy poor love I'm sorry you're stressing but that is perfectly normal given the journey you (and all of us) are on. When is your next scan? I'm sure that will put your mind at rest. Lots of love to you xxx

MoJangles · 23/01/2012 21:09

Bugsy honey deep breaths! It's probably all fine but if you're worried call your midwife and get an extra check. Far far better to do that then to sit there stressing. And a decent midwife will take you seriously too so don't be put off.

Mo Symptom of the Day: tumultuous wind. OK, I know that's just the progesterone tablets but I cant drum up anything more convincing. Cheers Pocket !

Sunny 3 days to go, how are you doing Teamie?

MoJangled · 23/01/2012 21:13

New name. Subtle but accurate shift.

Chocolate boobs to everyone xx

bugsylugs · 23/01/2012 21:32

Thanks pocket and mojangled
mojangled CARE told me wind constipation side effects of progesterone is often a good sign even have it in writing. So here's wishing you all good stickies for B, B and B .
Haven't got midwife yet pops will after scan if ok

bugsylugs · 24/01/2012 12:12

Devastated all gone wrong. Good luck to all and especially those testing

wellerbabe · 24/01/2012 14:10

bugsy so sorry Sad

MalibuStacy · 24/01/2012 14:14

Hey, can I join in? We did Embryo Transfer on Thursday of 2 x grade A blasts. This is our third round of IVF. I am feeling a tightness in my lower abdomen. Is this a sign do you think?

Lexie1970 · 24/01/2012 15:23

Hi all

So, had AMH done yesterday - had to go on my own as DS had sick bug - the washing machine was on its 4th load when I left at 10 :) Just have to wait for appointment in March now.

Also on a good note, my previous surgery still had my notes on their system so receptionist here requested them and now previous test results in 2010 and 2011 are now available to new GP - that was such a relief and with my limited knowledge yes they do appear to be at the far end of the ideal range but they are still in the ideal range thank god. DP has to produce his sample tomorrow am so hoping that if they are fine (which again his were last year aswell) then maybe he will not have to do them at the clinic - seems a waste of money.

No sign of my period and it is now CD33 ......

Teds77 · 24/01/2012 16:26

((hugs)) bugsy am so very sorry to see your news Sad. Thinking of you xx

lucylookout · 24/01/2012 16:47

Bugsy I'm so very, very sorry.

OP posts:
sunnyg · 24/01/2012 16:53

Mo cycle buddy I am loving your daily symptom spotting updates. I am due to POAS Thurs am. Gotta leave for work just after 8 so it's gonna be an early one. I will be rushing him after work to get your news or shall I say BFP announcement Mo love, I can feel it in my bones.

Trying my harder to a)remain positive b)not cave and test early but I fear a BFN is on it's way. Had today all of my usual AF imminent arrival symptoms, spotting and a killer pre-AF headache. Plus emotional. I'm sure watching '15 and counting' tonight will officially push me over the edge.

But gonna hold and and keep my chin high. You never know ah?!? oxo

A big welcome to MalibuStacy!

sunnyg · 24/01/2012 16:55

Christmascracker92 · 06/12/2022 22:06

Anyone know rough waiting times for IUI (specifically for Countess of Chester) but anywhere? I’ve had all my tests completed locally so once the referral has gone in does anyone know rough timeframes?
