pocket I know just what you mean hopefully little fella is just a bit of a slow grower just like ds. Nausea sounds good. None here what time is your scan? Will be thinking of you

Pocket1 · 09/01/2012 18:26

Thanks bugsy. Scan is 5pm - late I know but that suited dp. And gives little fella a bit more growing time. When is your scan? Smile

bugsylugs · 09/01/2012 21:10

Scan is at 10:40 am. On call that day do not know what I will do if not reassuring

Pocket1 · 09/01/2012 21:24

bugsy my love, your scan will be just fine. Lots of love and luck for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on go bean go BiscuitBiscuit

sunnyg · 09/01/2012 21:26

Best of luck to Scrummy dear for your immunes test tomorrow.

And big good luck vibes and thoughts to you lovely pocket and lovely bugsy for your scans. Will be waiting to hear how they all went.

Will call gp tomorrow and see if she has copies of our tests/treatment at clinic and go from there. Certainly will turn on the tears if I have to! 40 days is just ridiculous!

oxoxo

bugsylugs · 10/01/2012 04:52

Sunny your go will hopefully give you copies of results they have. Did you sign a consent form for info to go to your go both you and dh have to sign it. If not they will not have any info. Do not think test results will have been sent sorry. Try speaking to secretaries directly at the clinic and ask them for copies

Teds77 · 10/01/2012 11:03

Sorry for a me, me, me post but am having a small irrational panic as I?ve been in contact with chicken pox. As I?ve had it, then it should be fine but if lucy is out there I was just wanting to double check that it was the humira that was the problem when your DS had it not ?regular? IVF drugs? Again, sorry for panic!

bugsy and pocket are the scans today? I had it in my head they were tomorrow. Either way am wishing you both super, lovely scans xx.

sunnyg when I changed from Guys to the Lister I had to buy my notes. From memory it was £25 and took 10 days. There was also an express service which I think was £50 for 5 days. Pretty expensive but your clinic may offer something similar and from memory, although the information about the £25 service was given to me on the phone and by staff in person, the information about the express service was in tiny small print on a form sort-of-thing. I was also able to order the test results and notes that my GP had free of charge. This took about five days but when I went to collect them, they hadn?t given me everything so the receptionist printed out a load more things then and there after I begged?

Teds77 · 10/01/2012 11:09

Okay - panic over. The Lister have called and assured me all is fine. Phewy!

Best of luck to scrummy for the immunes testing today and also hope they can give some advice/reassurance about the spotting.

bugsylugs · 10/01/2012 12:31

teds so glad you have heard from Lister. Yep they are right no ivf drugs are immunosupressant but HUMIRA is hence the possible problem with that. The royal college of obsetricians and gynaecologists has useful info re infections if you get worried again. Hopefully not. You remembered right scan tomorrow. Did not sleep well last night hope tonight is better. How do they date with IVF babies?

Teds77 · 10/01/2012 12:54

Thanks bugsy.

The Lister consider egg collection day to be two weeks pregnant and calculate weeks pg from there. The due date that gives me tallies exactly with these ivf calculators -

www.ivf-infertility.com/calc_preg.php

ivf.ca/duedate.php

The midwife gave me a due date of 1 day later.

The time of your EC, especially if combined with ISCI, can add a day to your 'fertilisation' so the extra day added by the midwife might be pretty reasonable.

Teds77 · 10/01/2012 12:55

P.S. Also hope you get a more restful night x

lucylookout · 10/01/2012 14:25

Teds, I'm here and yes, what everyone else says. You're fine. (Apparently even Humira only stays really active for 5 weeks or so, and DS got chicken pox about 7 weeks after my last Humira jab. I did feel (psychosomatically) itchy for a few days but all was fine.) Good luck with your scans Bugsy and Pocket and for Scrummy's immunes x

Teds77 · 10/01/2012 14:38

Thanks lucy. They mentioned prednisolone as well but I'm not on that so everyone seems happy that I'll be okay. Phewy!

I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow and if she's particularly worried then I might get tested to check I'm immune.

Pocket1 · 10/01/2012 21:04

I'm on predisolone - does that mean I need to be wary of anyone with bugs or illnesses? I guess I should know that but I'm afraid I don't...

bugsylugs · 10/01/2012 21:32

pocket what dose are you on? anything above 7.5mg is immunosuppressive. So in theory you may be more affected by certain illnesses. Generally if you have had chicken pox you are immune but if you are on immunosuppressants or immunosupressed then your immunity to chicken pox (and others) maybe lowered and if you are in contact with someone who has it get advice. Hope that makes sense. Colds should be ok. best of luck for tomorrow

Waves to all

Pocket1 · 10/01/2012 21:38

Thanks bugsy. I'm on 5mg so a low dose - I think intended to help my body welcome rather than reject embie with donor egg. I've had chicken pox too, so one less thing to worry about. Thanks for your wishes for tmw. Think your scan is tmw (although yesterday I thought it was today) - hope it all goes fab Smile

Teds77 · 10/01/2012 22:42

Pocket so sorry to have worried you and bugsy thanks again for your expertise. Much better than Dr Google!
x

bugsylugs · 11/01/2012 07:14

I am not a fan of Dr google but then I am biased. At least it is one thong I do not torture myself with. Good luck to everyone with anything going on.
How is it going Italian

Scrummybumb · 11/01/2012 08:24
