So here is our new home, hope you all like it!

Ah Generic I am so sorry to hear you sad. I know the feeling too, as Farfalla says, look after yourself.

Rubbish about the BFN Popcorn far too early to find an agreeable pee stick though Smile

GenericDietCola · 15/09/2011 15:49

Thanks farfalla and maybe - I must try to be more positive. I'm sure I'll get preggo this month - I'm eating honey fgs!

Oh, by the way, we're gonna need another thread soon! The next one will be even luckier and more positive than this one (and that's a lot) - no AF allowed. Grr.

Imps7 · 15/09/2011 15:51

Arg have we nearly used this thread up already??

maybebabyR · 15/09/2011 15:53

I think we need to but a couple of the endorsed preggos on the door of the new thread, you know, to keep AF at bay.

Someone's going to have to come up with a witty title!

scarletfingernail · 15/09/2011 16:05

Sorry about the BFN Popcorn as others have said it's very early days, give it a few more and the BFP will be there.

Generic I am brooking no argument for you. Don't underestimate how much miscarriage can affect you even months later. I've harped on and on about mine and have felt guilty at times as I am fully aware that other people have experienced so much worse. I rarely mention it at all in RL, but I know it will have changed me in a way, probably forever. Being pregnant again is the only reason I feel able to move on from it now. I know how you're feeling as I was also anticipating not being pregnant by my due date. But I really believe you will be pregnant very soon, if not already after last night. Have some Wine tonight and smack some rats.

GenericDietCola · 15/09/2011 16:20

Oh Scarlet - mwah! You're lovely. I never talk about it in RL as the few people that know probably think it was yonks ago, but I know many people in here will understand.

Right! That's quite enough moping for now - let's get thinking of new thread ideas!

Love the idea from Maybe re bouncers on the door 'no admittance to AF'

We need to keep the 'rat smacking' term and the 'brooking no argument'. Hmm, I notice the baking has slowed down lately - perhaps I'll put some buns in the oven tonight (more than one type of bun in more than one type of oven if I get my way!)

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 16:22

Has anyone read this thread? Fabulous if you need cheering up, or have the urge to cry from laughter so much that your face hurts...

dreamfeeder · 15/09/2011 17:30

generic, I think you are well within your rights to still be upset about your mc. I still think about mine a lot, and I was only about 5 weeks. And it was before DD. I also think once you get your inevitable BFP next time you will hopefully, like scarlet, be able to move on a bit.

I am going to go and read the cheering up thread. I am SO hungry but can't keep anything down- I just tried. Now I don't even dare drink I was so sick after my snack/drink attempt just now Sad. I know it's all good, but I am really not being the best mum at the min, thank goodness DH here today. I don't know how i'll cope with her meal times when he's at work tmw... Looking at food, thinking about food, smelling food and eating anything are unfortunately all on the make-me-puke activity list

scarletfingernail · 15/09/2011 17:45

Grin at the cheering up thread. Of course I have nothing like as embarrassing to tell....Blush

...oh ok I'll share. In a previous life I worked on the counter in a bank. I've mentioned before about being challenged in the boobage department. Imagine my horror at the end of the day when we're all cashing up and the old fuddy duddy bank manager picks up one of my chicken fillets off the floor, waves it around asking "what and who's is this"

I'm embarrassed to admit that I did own up to it being mine but left one of my colleagues to inform him of it's purpose while I scuttled out the bank.

farfallarocks · 15/09/2011 17:48

Love it!!

Have also just discovered the Trip Advisor thread on mumsnet and am literally crying with laughter, anyone who needs cheering up take a look at it.

I am not sure what excuse to use to my colleagues who are now looking at me like this Hmm
as tears roll down my face

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 18:10

I can't begin to imagine how hard it is to deal with a mc :( It will be your month soon though, generic!

Here are mine......

After spilling wine and/or knocking over random bottles on every. single. work outing (and there were many, over 5 years) I developed a bit of a reputation at my previous workplace. "Don't wear white shirts around PopcornMouse!" "So, PopcornMouse, who's your target tonight then?!"

On my new Director's first day, I had to send out a round robin to a few hundred of our most important clients letting them know he was now in position, with a his targets for the company, a short bio etc. I spelled his name wrong. x_x

DH is a psychiatric nurse and, as a teen, worked in a care home as an assistant. One day he crouched down to put something in a cupboard and his trousers split! DH goes commando and it's a profession full of women, so had no choice but to borrow a patient's trousers, wear them home, wash them and sneak them back in!

maybebabyR · 15/09/2011 18:29

Oh Popcorn I nearly spat my tea over my laptop Grin

I too used to work in a bank, upstairs in the customer services bit. And the only way to get down to the basement where all the old statements were ket was by a little post-lift. So, off I trundle down to the basement to get something, when, on my way back up, the lift breaks. I had no phone on me, didn't tell anyone I was going, and the help button is broken. 2 hours later someone twigs, and the next thing I know, I am being cut out of the lift by firemen. I don't quite thing humiliated is a strong enough word Blush

I had somehow managed to blank that from my memory until just now!

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 18:38

Wow!!! Were the firemen suitably hunk-o-licious?! :o

Biscuitsandtea · 15/09/2011 18:52

Oh my goodness - I nearly ran into the back of a car the other day being distracted by some hunk-a-licious firemen BlushGrin

maybebabyR · 15/09/2011 18:53

Hmm, I'm not sure if I can remember. To be honest, I was so mortified at the cutting equipment, fire engine malarky that I pretty much said I needed to go home, and ran out the door Grin

dreamfeeder · 15/09/2011 18:55

i LOVE firemen Grin

BartletForAmerica · 15/09/2011 19:01

farfalla, I have been reading that Trip Advisor thread while BFing DS. He is supposed to be nice and settled and getting off to sleep, except I keep shuddering, trying not to laugh out loud!

dreamfeeder · 15/09/2011 19:03

which is the Trip Advisor thread- i just searched for it and it gave me 500 results!!!

dreamfeeder · 15/09/2011 19:17

love it, thanks bartlet!!

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 19:54

This is also hilarious - it's one of my favourites......

Love the Trip Advisor thread. Funniest I've read in a long time. Dinner is now going to be an hour late. I blame you Farfalla Grin

dreamfeeder · 15/09/2011 20:24
