So here is our new home, hope you all like it!

Preseed is just a lubricant but apparrently mimics the consistency of sperm/semen to actually help there be enough fluid for the swimmers to get up there. Also used half the dosage!! (biscuits, we were on 4th month of trying where I thought there could be a hope)

CONGRATULATIONS jen and bartlet!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done you two!

GenericDietCola · 13/09/2011 20:06

Biscuits thank you for the link - can't wait to join you all in the vomitorium in a few weeks.

Thanks for the info re Preseed Dream - I may go for some of that for next cycle in the unlikely event that the honey and shagging of course doesn't work this time. How are you feeling these days? Hope the sickness isn't too bad. Just found out my friend at work is preggo (and I'm not at all jealous because she's so lovely and has had a crappy time lately) and she is suffering quite badly with morning sickness.

Have eaten my first spoonful of the cinnamon Manuka honey - it was very sweet and probably cost about 50p just for that spoonful, but needs must! I'm going to start having porridge with the honey in it for breakfast - healthy and baby friendly!

Maybe I'm glad you are really thinking about things and hope that you reach a happy conclusion. You certainly shouldn't let your boss dictate your ttc situation - as others have said, this is unfair and some of his behaviour sounds illegal. I know you're in a tricky position as an academic, but I'm sure there are other options for a bright young thing like you!

thelittlefriend · 13/09/2011 20:14

Just a note everyone - www.poas.co.uk will not give any tips for help with conception!

maybebabyR · 13/09/2011 20:17

Thanks Generic, you are totally right, I can't let him dictate. He seems to make pregnancy and motherhood seem like a cop out rather than the amazing thing it is. I am seriously considering setting up my own business after the PhD, so fingers crossed Smile

This pre seed sounds intriguing. I may have to try some next month!

Golden! How are you?

How is crumb coming along Biscuits? Hope you are positively blooming

Imps7 · 13/09/2011 20:24

Tee hee oops - I just ended up on the Post Office Angling Society website by mistake!

maybebabyR · 13/09/2011 20:41

Hahaha!!! Little and Imps that made me chuckle Grin

knittymum · 13/09/2011 21:57

Hi everyone, I've been AWOL for a couple of days because I've been speechless, both vocally and typing-ly (you know what I mean!). I think I have Wants to blame for going and buying cheapy tesco tests, and I wholeheartedly blame her for giving way and testing a day before AF was due but...BFP!! Confirmed by a CBD this afternoon! Hurrah! Marathon month worked!! And I'm sure this thread was lucky for me! If you could all just keep your fingers crossed for this one being a little stickier than my last one, that would be great. I'll not be resting easy until I get past 20 weeks, although hopefully I should at least get some extra scans this time round.

Good luck to all who are waiting to confirm their pregnancies; may AF and her blackened, tarnished soul not darken your door for many months!

Imps7 · 13/09/2011 22:00

Weyhey! Hurrah! The third - count 'em - THIRD BFP today! That's what we like to see. Congratulations Knitty - what fabbo fabbo news Grin

knittymum · 13/09/2011 22:05

Thank you! I'm strangely totally excited - the apprehensiveness and panicking about whether everything will be OK this time hasn't kicked in yet!

maybebabyR · 13/09/2011 22:37

Ah Knitty I am so so pleased for you. This bean will be brooking no argument either, you mark my words Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 13/09/2011 22:42

Yay for knittymum!!! Congratulations!

Damn, my pom-poms are getting a work-out today Grin

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 13/09/2011 22:45

Well done Knitty! That's excellent news! Wow, what an exciting day! Keep up the No Brooking and we'll get through to the other side!

Sn0wGoose · 14/09/2011 01:27

I am up at 1.30am googling cleaners because our manky house is stressing me out, I've spent all night with indigestion and nausea, and I'm sooooo stressed out I'm having to try really hard not to flip at DH who stayed up til 1am playing computer games and so won't be in any fit state to do DIY/clean/tidy/do anything vaguely useful on his day off tomorrow (IABU because he has worked 7 days in a row, so has a right to some slobbing time). Clearly am horribly pg, I just need to wait 8 more days to poas to confirm the obvious, ha ha

Sn0wGoose · 14/09/2011 01:30

Congratulations knitty!!

Thanks Golden, I'm trying to stay rediculously positive this month! I am pg! Just need to find a POAS that works this month!! ;)

I too was surprised there is such a thing as the Post Office Angling Society... snore

BartletForAmerica · 14/09/2011 07:31

Great news, knitty.

I am wavering a little on the No Brooking. Did another test this morning - there is still a line but it is not as obvious as yesterday. But , a line is a line is a line, no?

I have had lots of weird dreams the last few nights, so that has to be a symptom surely!

Sn0w, nesting already? You are so definitely pregnant! (Have you considered Flylady? Website is a bit American, but the principles are good and sustainable.)

jenfraggle · 14/09/2011 07:34

Congrats knitty

We need to go and mingle with all these other preggos that haven't confirmed yet and hopefully it will be catching

I did another test this morning with FMU and got a much darker, clearer line than yesterday. When should I let my GP know? Is it a bit soon yet?

Biscuitsandtea · 14/09/2011 07:35

Knitty - I've already congratulated you on the other thread but it never hurts to be thorough so congratulations again Grin

Bartlet - A line is a line! Don't panic - tests can have different amounts of dye in them, even between tests in the same pack so I wouldn't panic too much. You've done a CBD haven't you? They're pretty hard to convince! If you're worried I'd perhaps try and leave it a couple of days and see if there is a still a line then although I know when it was me I probably did a few practice tests while waiting those few days so I cant really talk

Morning to everyone else - hope you're all OK this morning

maybebabyR · 14/09/2011 09:03

Morning everyone.

Super early start for me this morning, already been in work an hour and a half!

Excellent news Jen

Bartlet, Biscuits is right, if you have seen the word 'pregnant' then you are Smile

Nesting and heartburn Sn0w? Grin

farfallarocks · 14/09/2011 09:09

knitty huge congrats!!!!

bartlet please don't worry about the line, different tests have different amounts of dye in etc

Well I am out this month, can't believe it as I really thought we had nailed it. Argh! Cramping and spotting ramped up a gear so I know AF will be here tomorrow or Friday now.

Had a little cry last night and DH was wonderful. I think he now really understands how hard it is to be the body that knows what is happening at every turn (fertile, about to get AF etc etc) and that its much harder for me to forget about it all than it is for him. He was really positive and it makes me want to have his baaaybies even more. Argh!!

Right, bring on the late June bug baby

maybebabyR · 14/09/2011 09:14

Ah Farfalla sorry to heat that. Good on DH though for making you feel a bit better. I think mine finally gets it now too. It's only taken 6 months Grin

I think he would be less than impressed if I forked out a load of money on honey though Hmm

June babies are the 'in' thing right now!

Sn0wGoose · 14/09/2011 09:16

Bartlet don't panic, I bet your wee was just more watery this morning or something, or less dye like Biscuits says! A line is a line is a line :)

Omg, flylady.net, genius! I will have a thorough trawl through that today.
We live in chaos. DH works shifts and, although I work from home, I work from home, and often very long days (deadline-driven job). though if I spent a fraction of my MN time cleaning I'd live in a palace

CD7, still a high temp - I'm expecting my implantation dip tomorrow :o

farfallarocks · 14/09/2011 09:17

Thanks maybe, it took DH that long too.

On a positive note I am going to book that holiday to India we were holding off on and its our wedding anniversary this weekend so at least I can get very drunk tuck into a glass of champagne

farfallarocks · 14/09/2011 09:17

snow very exciting, all crossed for you!

Biscuitsandtea · 14/09/2011 09:18

Aw poor Farfalla - boo to AF :( Glad DH was nice about it though - my DH always seemed to struggle to understand why I couldn't forget about it - and I was forever pointing out that literally any little thing makes you think and wonder. I think he thought I should just think about other things, or that it was because I'm not working now whereas I was before. There might be a little bit of truth in the fact that not working allowed me a lot more time to stress about it but I could quite happily assure him that it had been at or near the forefront of my mind for the whole of the 19 months! I think he finally got the idea when he asked some inane innocent question once and received a 10 minute rant about my symptoms and/or lack of them at the time. At the end, I think he just went 'Oh....' Blush.

Anyway, it's really good that your DH was so supportive and gets the idea and was positive about it all. Next week will be your month for sure if this one isn't still - it ain't over till the fat lady sings!!

Sn0wGoose · 14/09/2011 09:18

I'm really sorry Farfalla :(
Maybe is right though - June babies are the ones to have, maternity leave would kick in right in time to enjoy the good weather! :o)
