So here is our new home, hope you all like it!

OP posts:
MyGoldenNotebook · 14/09/2011 18:12

Congratulations knitty! Yet moer excellent news:) And Scarlet it must be wonderful to have reached the first scan point and everything is well.

I'm so sorry far - we all get our hopes up even when we try to restrain ourselves. I'm that BFP will be even sweeter next month because of your wait. The pee stck that agrees with you is just around the corner I know it! Now pick up those pom poms girl and give yourself a cheer!

Good luck tomorrow Duke! (not that you need it of course!)

MyGoldenNotebook · 14/09/2011 18:24

I'm good lovely just snowed under with work (it's always like this for me in September) and going to bed super early as the change of pace has knocked me out. It's great that you're still here :)

jenfraggle · 14/09/2011 18:47
maybebabyR · 14/09/2011 18:56

Golden glad to hear all is well in the world of the notebook Smile

Dream you are like super-preggo. Amazing.

Is anyone else addicted to Hollyoaks? I have been since I was a teenager. I'm fairly sure I should be growing old gracefully. Ho hum!

knittymum · 14/09/2011 20:28

Thank you all! I hope you're all joining me soon - I'm looking forward to experimenting with the segway! I don't need the bucket yet, but maybe a nice little daybed to tow behind the segway? Was absolutely knackered this afternoon and had to have a nap.

I don't know how you all keep up with this thread - so much happens in such a short space of time!

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 14/09/2011 20:54

wow, I look away for 5 minutes and there's a slew of BFPs! Marvelous news, congrats to all you newly pee-stick endorsed people, and fx for the ones just hovering on the brink...

I have finally got a positive on my op stick (internet cheapie & Boots) so that's all good. In fact, I think I can feel myself ovulating right now.... or it could be a bit of trapped wind Grin

How are the rest of the Day 13 Posse doing? Anyone else ov-ed/-ing?

Scarlet, really pleased to hear your news, after all that heartbreak it must have been wonderful to see the heartbeat. Hope all continues to go well Smile

scarletfingernail · 14/09/2011 22:08

Aww thanks all for your kind comments. It's still not sinking in yet. The strangeness was not lost on me while I was lying on the same bed where both of my MCs were revealed, as it also would've been my due date today for my second MC.

Today's scan has made today much happier. It's time for me to try and put the past behind and start believing this pregnancy is real. Of course I'll never forget my babies who stopped growing, but I finally feel ready to let go of some of the anxiety and start looking forward again.

Looking forward to duke's update tomorrow.

duke748 · 14/09/2011 22:31

Scarlet - so pleased for you. I've also had 2 MC so I understand something of what you are going through. It tinges any subsequent pregnancies. I try to think of it as making me remember how precious it all is and how grateful we should be when it all works out OK. I was so pleased when I had morning sickness with my DS as it reminded me he was still there hanging on!

I am currently poking my boobs and trying to work out if the tingliness is an early pregnancy sign or a sign that my DS (who is BF) has new sharp little teeth!

I've also got low back ache and increased CM. I'm also knackered and off my food but that could be something to do with being up 8 times last night with teething DS Sad

God, I'm so impatient! I just want to know! GRR

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 14/09/2011 22:37

Scarlet I'm so glad the scan has provided the reassurance you needed, I can't imagine what you've been through before now. I'm so happy for you. I hope my scan goes as well as yours!

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 09:07
duke748 · 15/09/2011 09:15

Hi!

And breathe.....

A BFN for me today I'm afraid. Sad

Only 9 DPO, so will try again tomorrow and the next day, and the next

I woke up thinking I was bleeding...lots... It was really vivid. Really unsettling.

I hope we get some better news from our other POASers. Aren't there some other due today?

scarletfingernail · 15/09/2011 09:24

duke we all know how disappointing it is to see a BFN, but 9 dpo is still very early. Try again in 2 or 3 days and I reckon you'll see your BFP.

Is anyone else testing today? I can't remember.

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 09:49

Yes, very early duke, it might be a few days before you can convince a pee stick of the blindingly obvious, as they say! :o

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 09:54

I seriously feel quite nauseous this morning. But that's not that unheard of when I'm exhausted (it's deadline week Confused ). At 7DPO I doubt I've even implanted, so in all seriousness I couldn't actually have any symptoms yet if I were actually updiffed, could I? Hmm

farfallarocks · 15/09/2011 10:07

duke its way too early to test, can you wait until at 12 dpo, that is meant to be the 'gold standard' (easier said than done I know) Those BFNs are grim to get.

I was meant to be testing today but there is no point, WAIL!
Have lots of brown spotting, more cramps, AF due properly tomorrow and wish she would just get on with it now.
Not sure why I feel so down about it this month, perhaps because I felt we really gave the SWI a chance and covered all bases. I know there is only about a 15% chance every cycle but still. Hummpf.

Great news late, get cracking with the SWI!

imps how is the SWI going?
popcorn you never know!!

maybebabyR · 15/09/2011 10:17

Sorry for the BFN Duke it will only be amtter of time till you get your positive though. It is still really early.

Farfalla sorry you are feeling down. I know what you mean though, sometimes you just get a month where you feel like you have done everything you could. But it will happen Smile

Sorry you're feeling rough Popcorn any chance yu may have ov'd a tad earlier than you think?

Imps7 · 15/09/2011 11:13

Ooh, yes Duke, 9DPO is too early for even the most generous and supportive pee stick - hang in there, you will get your line!

Popcorn/Mopcorn/Pouse it's never too early to have pregnancy symptoms on this thread. Hell, I even have them pre-ovulation!

Late, excellent news re: OPK - it's great that your cycles have returned to normal so that you know where you are. Hope the SWI is going swimmingly (so to speak!)

Farfalla, SWI is going well - OH is very up for it (literally - snigger) this month which is nice. I had a little chat with him the other day about how tough it is to always keep quiet about babies/ovulation/etc in case he got performance anxiety - he was surprised that I was and said that there was no need - the issues that we had back in March/April was all done to work related stress apparently!! So all my keeping quiet about things has really been for no one's benefit! Very happy that we're back on track and gearing up for many a shag this weekend...provided that we can find the opportunity!

Sorry that you're feeling down - it's always a bit of a kick in the teeth when it hasn't worked out. Hope you manage to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and plan this month's SWI quickly - with a compulsory Wine in hand!

The Snail has turned up today on cue (actually, a day early but I'll forgive it). I love the way my cycle has become like clockwork - one thing that my body does right!

farfallarocks · 15/09/2011 11:17

Oooh imps so glad DH is up for it, its great to clear the air and to feel like they are on board isn't it? Good luck with the SWI this month!
thanks for the Wine
i shall be enjoying a few of those tonight :)

dreamfeeder · 15/09/2011 11:28

hehe Lilliputian land!! Would have been much more graceful scream!!!

imps, good news, and don't forget the no-knickers for the wedding.

DD in bed for a nap, thank goodness as I can't cope this morning... Too much sickness, and was up in night puking too and felt so ill I couldn't sleep so feeling exhausted. Bah. 3 weeks today til my 12 weeks scan Grin. maybe only 6 weeks til I feel better, if it's anything like last time.

bad news farfalla, we'd marked you a chair on the other thread... see you next month!

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 11:50

lol@ Imps :o
(snail?! )
Glad DH is on board and you can be a but more open, that must make it a lot less stressful :)

maybe I don't think so, I got a +OPK on the 8th along with a temp drop, so I'm 99% sure I'm only on 7DPO. Maybe I ate something dodgy, I shall ask DH how he feels when he gets home!

farfalla crappy crap crap :(

BartletForAmerica · 15/09/2011 13:20

duke, it is just too early. I had a BFN on Monday and yet a lovely BFP on Tuesday and a bright line today. Your pee-sticks just need to be convinced in the same way.

farfalla, enjoy the wine. After today, you are not going to be allowed any for 9 months!

maybebabyR · 15/09/2011 13:39

Glad your line is darker Bartlet Grin Very exciting.

When are you planning on confirming Popcorn?

Grin at snail trail Imps Glad OH is brooking no argument either this month. Few more days and you'll be in the 2WW Grin

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 14:03

BFN at lunchtime maybe but that's hardly surprising! Darn those cheap-o Amazing pee sticks, I have tonnes of the things and they were burning a hole in my pocket cupboard. AF not due til 22nd :)

GenericDietCola · 15/09/2011 14:37

Scarlet your post really struck a chord with me and I am really glad your scan went well. I've had two missed mcs too and it's really weird being in the epu where you've heard wonderful news as well as terrible news. Also, since it should have been your due date today, you must have been especially relieved. My due date from my last mc would have been next month and I'm finding it harder and harder to deal with. I thought I'd be pregnant by now, which would have helped. Oh well, this month I'm sure!

Duke I'm sure it's just too early - hang on for a day or two if you can!

Popcorn you still sound very pregnant to me!

Oh Farfalla booooo re AF. She had better bugger off after this visit and not come back for 9 whole months.

Imps glad the SWI is going well this time and you can talk about it. I made my poor DH perform last night even though he has man flu. He did say 'OK, but you can do all the work' to which I accused him of being unromantic, which nearly spoilt the mood, but luckily I managed to distract him.

Bartlet glad you have a lovely dark line today - well done you!

I may be ovulating - getting twinges and snail trail. Hope so, but I will valiantly SWI for a good week or two yet just to be sure.

farfallarocks · 15/09/2011 15:17

Sorry about the BFN popcorn
I never really got a positive on those amazon cheapies just a sort of smudge
I also don;t think they are really are sensitive as they claim to be.
They were giving me BFN when my HCG was still above 25mg (I had had a bloodtest) and they claim to be 10mg

generic so sorry to hear that you are down about your MC, I know the feeling, it comes and goes. be kind to yourself. Good job on the SWI!!
