So, after almost turning myself inside out giving birth to DC1, we've decided to take the plunge and try for another. Thought this would be a good place to share excitement / terror / general state of knackeredness. Just watch your feet as you come in. I haven't had chance to tidy the lego away yet and you know how much it hurts when you stand on it.
Glass of Wine anyone?

It's a BFP ladies!!! Tested last night as needed to go at about 11 and had one £1 test left. At first I thought it was -ve and was about to put the test in the bin when I started squinting at it and thought I could see something. Went to show it to DH and he agreed there was the faintest of faint lines!

Really struggled to sleep after that, but managed a few hours and retested at 5 am with FMU and a FR and got a definite line!

Very happy but nervous about hyperemesis returning so might book a GP appt soon. It started at 7 ish weeks last time and I will be 4 on Sat.

Thanks for checking in on me everyone. Hope December is a lucky month for those still waiting for BFP.

Well done Cosmo! Excellent news GrinGrin

monkeypuzzeltree · 29/11/2011 12:07

Just checking how ladies were doing, very glad to hear your news Cosmo, great news!!

All fine here, not having the best time with this pregnancy, perfectly well and avoided the sickness but just feel really low, it's quite odd. Hoping I will pep up soon Sad

I guess I'm still nervous about things going ok.

Fingers crossed for those next to test, who is next?

Cosmogirl · 29/11/2011 14:31

Thanks ladies :)

Sorry to hear you are feeling low Monkey. How far are you? Do you have long to wait until scan? I think it is normal to worry and once you've had the scan hopefully that will put your mind at ease? Hugs x

purplehonesty · 29/11/2011 19:16

Yaay!!!!!!! Cosmo that is wonderful news I am delighted for you.....my internet has been down all day and I have been agonising wondering whether you were going to post a BFP!!!!!
Well done - I had a hunch you were what with all those symptoms.
Who ya gonna tell first? x

monkeypuzzeltree · 29/11/2011 19:18

I'm about 9 and half weeks. I don't know whats wrong with me, normally very positive, just a bit of a doom monster. I've got booking in next week and scan on 23rd, which I think is what is worrying me, I am not to keen on hearing all is not so well, the day before xmas eve. Confused Will ask the midwife if I can get one any earlier, but doubt it. Its probably all in my head...

Clandy · 29/11/2011 19:22

Yey! Congratulations cosmo.

Sorry to hear your not feeling so good mpt Sad hopefully you'll feel better as you get further along and have your scan and see that everything is fine with baby! In the mean time I shall share my secret chocolate stash and clear The ironing mountain off the sofa so you can put ya feet up Smile

purplehonesty · 29/11/2011 19:28

Hey Monkey, I hope you are feeling ok tonight - I would say if you really are worried ring up your local EPU and ask for an early scan - tell them the truth that you feel very worried and you havent had any preg symptoms like sickness and you would appreciate an early scan just to make sure all is ok.
I'm sure they will oblige and then at least you dont have to wait til just before xmas.
I am sure everything is perfectly fine but it might put your mind at ease?

LondonSuperTrooper · 30/11/2011 12:54

Hey Ladies!

Can I join you please? I am TTC #2, and this is our first month of trying after my my miscarriage in May.

I have a DS who is 4.5 years old already Shock I'm shocked as I've always wanted a small age gap but life somehow got in the way.......

Looking forward to meeting you all!

LondonSuperTrooper · 30/11/2011 12:55

Sorry for all the typo errors in my previous post.

Numberjacker · 30/11/2011 14:02

hobnobnomnom · 30/11/2011 14:44

yay for cosmo im on the poas bench now ladies, we've got a wedding to go to same day though, my dilema is do I poas in the morning before we go so if i get a bfn i can have a drink without feeling guilty or do I wait until the next day on the basis that it doesnt count if you dont know???

purplehonesty · 30/11/2011 18:32

ooh hobnob I'd say do it in the morning then if it is BFP you can have that smug feeling all day to yourselves and everyone will think you are smiling at the wedding!

purplehonesty · 02/12/2011 19:07

Where is everyone?!

Numberjacker · 03/12/2011 08:59

Here!! Haha have been mainly sleeping these last few days, just about managed to keep awake in work......only justBlush

How is everyone? When is hob-nob's POAS day, is it this weekend or next - we need to know the outcome of the wedding dilemma!
Anyone else testing soon?

QueenOfProcrastination · 03/12/2011 09:20

Congratulations Cosmo, great news!

Been trying to avoid this thread and all mention of babies as 2WW driving me mad. Then, whilst in supermarket, got text that my cousin had just had a DD and I caved and bought a 2 pack of First Response. POAS yesterday with FMU and BFN. AF due on Weds 7th so maybe was too early to test but really disappointed.

Today, however, woke up with that hangover feeling and dizziness that I remember from being pg with DD. but I'm also having some crampy type feelings that I normally have during AF. Aaarrgh hate all this waiting and symptom spotting!

Trying to stick to my promise to myself not to POAS again unless AF late. Fx for me for thurs ladies.

purplehonesty · 03/12/2011 09:37

wifey6 · 03/12/2011 11:59

Am staying the night at the hotel tonight so lie in is guaranteed!!

effyzm · 03/12/2011 15:35

hello there all fellow mums : ) hope you don't mind me squishing in. i was on here a year ago for the same reason as now. been ttc #2 on and off for just over a year (OH is on the Army so a bit hard to DTD when you're 2000 miles apart lol) anyway we are due to get married in October 2012 so this is our last month of trying (well i've said we have to be 'careful' when the new year starts) so technically we have two including right now lol. According to biology i'm OV'in right now but OH is away again Sad but we DTD twice on Thursday (sorry if TMI) so i have my legs crossed that i have OV early this month. anyway my DS is 3 and i hate the fact he has no one to play with and i didn't want a big age gap. Spreading baby dust to all : ) xx

Numberjacker · 03/12/2011 20:04

Hi Effy, good to meet you. I can't imagine how it must be with OH away so much, for all the regular reasons, as well as how hard ttc must be. Do you get OH home for Xmas?
Sounds like u got some well timed swi in this week so fx you've done the business.

Hope we can offer some fun and support to get you through the 2ww.

purplehonesty · 03/12/2011 21:13

Well I made it to 9pm on my Xmas night out and now I am up in my room in my hotel dressing gown feeling rough as anything. The meal was 3/4hr late being served so I was shaking by the time I got some food, despite befriending a waiter for the bread basket!

difficulttimes · 03/12/2011 21:25

Hello , all

Congrats cosmo! does BFP mean bonafide pregnancy?

I'm soon to be ttc, with #2 , no.1 was a surprise was 19 and was sick and was on the pill etc.
I've been taking folic acid for like over a month now , trying to watch my weight :( not too successfully stuck in/crap weather = weight gain. I am obese and and trying to loose some weight as I've heard there very hard on obese people now i am scared.
So err yeah just looking for some reassurance and good luck to people ttc :)

xoxo
