So, after almost turning myself inside out giving birth to DC1, we've decided to take the plunge and try for another. Thought this would be a good place to share excitement / terror / general state of knackeredness. Just watch your feet as you come in. I haven't had chance to tidy the lego away yet and you know how much it hurts when you stand on it.
Glass of Wine anyone?

Has Clandy been eating real penguins and wondering why she feels nauseous (fnar fnar)

Cosmogirl · 24/11/2011 20:23

Lol at penguin mix-up Grin Have very funny images in my head now.

Thanks ladies. I don't want to raise my hopes but am feeling reasonably positive at the moment. Will definitely keep y'all posted.

Clandy - sounds like Cyclizine. I've heard it works well for quite a few women. Well done on getting that food down and keeping it there. I remember after barely eating and drinking for ages McDs and GU chocolate trifles were all I could stomach for a while & I normally never eat MDs.

Clandy · 24/11/2011 20:25

Haha didn't realise the penguin was meant to be eaten just that they cute and thought it was to cuddle for moral support or something.... Hmm that appears odder than reality.

Yes definitely yum to mcdonalds gotta love drive thru Grin

As an aside I had heartburn in early days with this pg and terrible burps few weeks before bfp and my bfp was a late one so sounds promising Smile

wifey6 · 24/11/2011 21:59

cosmogirl....keeping my fingers crossed for you...sounding good!! Smile

QueenOfProcrastination · 25/11/2011 08:06

Cosmogirl that does sound good.

We're on 2WW now. AF due 7th Dec and have promised DH I won't test unless AF late. Meanwhile I think I'm imagining symptoms. I'm knackered (DD has been sleeping through for last few nights again now she's got over her cold) irritable, grumpy, had tender boobs last night and felt queasy this morning whilst making DD's breakfast. Know they must be phantom symptoms as far too early for real symptoms but its hard to not get a little hopeful and excited.

purplehonesty · 25/11/2011 21:13

Queen the 2ww is so hard, you need a project to take your mind off it! I went away for a week in a caravan with 2 kids in october, that sure took my mind off any pregnancy symptoms i may/may not have been having!

I was so sick at work today, it got to about half eleven and all of a sudden i had whooshing in my ears and felt so sick and dizzy. One of my staff rushed out and got me something to eat - i was grey and shaking, it was horrible! I feel like if i could be sick it would be better, get it over with! Low blood sugar i think.

Peppermint tea has been my tipple the last 2 days, pharmacist recommended it for trapped wind which has been keeping me awake and it seems to work. Tastes a bit odd!

Whats new clandy, how you feeling now you have the meds?

Cosmogirl · 26/11/2011 08:01

BFN at 9 DPO FMU ladies. Silly me - couldn't resist after all the 'symptoms' so cracked this morning and did a cheapie. Now not sure whether to retest 10 DPO or leave it until 12 or 13.......I have one cheapie left and two FR.

Numberjacker · 26/11/2011 08:46

Cosmo!!! 9 dpo? What are you thinking Wink
If it were me I would wait as long as poss, but then I found BFNs more disappointing than AF so it's up to you, and how you feel. When is AF due?

Cosmogirl · 26/11/2011 08:56

NJ - Ha ha I know....Thanks for the reality check. I'm not sure what I was thinking....AF is due on Thursday. Fairly confident about dates but not 100%. God I am so bad at this waiting lark.

purplehonesty · 26/11/2011 09:41

If it were me I'd use the fr one on Tuesday! Fx for you cosmo

Cosmogirl · 26/11/2011 20:34

Thanks Purple. I think you're right. I am going to wait until Tues or Weds 12/13 dpo and then do another test. If still BFN then I will wait until AF shows up on Thurs - or doesn't as the case may be. Keep you posted x

wifey6 · 26/11/2011 20:37

Fingers crossed for you cosmogirl! Smile

purplehonesty · 27/11/2011 17:15

Made dh drive 80 mile round trip to burger king drive thru today and Oh. My. God. It was lovely!
Thanks clandy for the idea!

Clandy · 27/11/2011 19:29

Haha! Gotta love rubbish fast-food when feeling sick funny that it makes everything so much better Grin

Clandy · 27/11/2011 19:32

Oh and purple the meds are working really well only threw up once yesterday and twice today and none at all on Friday so happy days Smile

purplehonesty · 28/11/2011 08:53

That's great clandy really glad it is working - are you able to eat properly now? I think if I could be sick I'd feel better; I spend all day and night feeling really queasy and like I'm about to be sick. I can't face cooking anything or even looking at food. We went to tesco on Saturday night and I lasted about five minutes before I had to get out.
I have my works Christmas party on Saturday and it's an overnight stay with full Xmas dinner and I am dreading it tbh. I wish I hadn't already paid for it and booked accommodation. Still I'll get a lie in the next day so that might be worth the 100 quid I've spent!

YankNCock · 28/11/2011 10:19

hiya girls, just stopping in to say hello. I am 6+5 now and the nausea/fatigue has kicked in. I just want to sleep and be intravenously fed. The thought of all food puts me right off. I managed some homemade cheesy pasta and I can eat peanut butter on white bread, but the thought of either still makes me feel sick.

I'm not cooking either, poor DH and DS. I am going to have to force myself to make something homemade tonight, feel awful they are suffering from my crap diet!

Cosmogirl · 28/11/2011 12:43

Oh Yank - sorry to hear you are suffering. Did you have sickness with DC1?
Sorry to all suffering actually as that seems to be most of the pregnant ladies.

Clandy - glad the meds are seeing any improvement for you.

Wifey - thanks.

11 DPO here. Have managed to get a stinking cold yesterday, so my already messed up sleep was even worse last night. Think I got about 3 hours. I really just want to know now either way. I don't think I will be too upset if it's negative, I just hate the not knowing part.

Think I am going to take Purple's advice and do a test tomorrow morning at 12 DPO. Will let you know the results tomorrow.

I know people say not to go on cervical position but mine is still very high, hard and closed, I haven't be monitoring religiously but I am pretty sure it is low, squishy and open before I start to bleed.

Cosmogirl · 28/11/2011 12:44

Sorry about the typos. I think the lack of sleep is showing...

lettingitallgonow · 28/11/2011 12:47

Hi can I join please???

Been trying for #2 for almost 12 months now :( bought a CBFM and it turns out I actually ovulate really early in my cycle which, I'm hoping, is the reason it's not been happening for me... I'm quite giddy this month :) AF is due on Dec 15th for me and I've already peaked!! Time to each chocolate and wait now I guess

YankNCock · 28/11/2011 13:47

cosmogirl, I did have it quite bad with DS, horrible nausea all the time, threw up till 32 weeks (then started again at 36 weeks). Really hoping this time is not as bad!

purplehonesty · 28/11/2011 18:49

Aw I feel for you yank, I am exactly the same I have barely cooked for 2 weeks and am feeling really guilty about it too. Poor ds is eating a lot of pasta and soups that I had in the freezer! Can just about manage to make him beans on toast if I don't get too near it.

Welcome letting hope this month is lucky for you, I am the same as you, I ovulate really early and it took me a few Months to figurethat out. Fingers crossed for you now that you know!

Cosmo I can't wait to hear from you tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you!

Clandy · 28/11/2011 20:05

Purple I would happily pay £100 fora lie in Grin

Still being sick a couple of times a day but the nausea is more manageable which Is a huge help.

Welcome letting hope the cbfm works and you get a quick bfp Smile

Numberjacker · 28/11/2011 20:38

Welcome, LIAGN tuck in to the treats. It's the best way to while away the 2ww.Fact. Grin
I ov early too, once I had Sussed this through temping, it made the ttc process a bit easier for me.

Good to see your less sicky, Clandy. Hurrah!

Looking forward to Cosmo-day tomorrow too. With that waiting willpower a BFP is def deserved. Wink

wifey6 · 28/11/2011 20:58

Hi everyone...hope all you pregnant ladies are doing ok. For those waiting...hope you are not driving yourself too crazy symptom watching (I know I was)...
If you are like me & had AF arrive last week...you will be hoping December is a better month!
