So, after almost turning myself inside out giving birth to DC1, we've decided to take the plunge and try for another. Thought this would be a good place to share excitement / terror / general state of knackeredness. Just watch your feet as you come in. I haven't had chance to tidy the lego away yet and you know how much it hurts when you stand on it.
Glass of Wine anyone?

Ps. Help yourself to some Twirl Bites before I eat the whole bag :-)

wifey6 · 21/11/2011 22:03

I'm not testing anymoreSad convinced that my body is rebelling & after about 7+ tests in 10 days....I can't keep doing it. Will have to see doctor though if AF doesn't arrive by next week.Sad

Cosmogirl · 22/11/2011 07:49

So sorry Wifey Sad Have your cycles been regular up until now? Do you know when you ovulated? I think the lutuel phase is meant to stay the same month to month, so ovulation date can move each month but the time between ov and AF stays the same. TTC is such an emotional time - sorry you are having to go through this painful wait.

wifey6 · 22/11/2011 08:03

Hi cosmogirl....I suffer from dysfunctional uterine bleeding but have had that under control by taking herbal/alternative medicines. The doctor said my symptoms showed ovulation around the 4th week in October...then I had dizziness...nausea & aches & pains.
Sad

wifey6 · 22/11/2011 08:20

AF has reared ugly head...so I guess it's... Better luck next month Sad

Cosmogirl · 22/11/2011 15:18

Gosh it has gone quiet in here.

Wifey - so sorry AF has reared her ugly head Sad but at least you know where you are and aren't stuck in limbo waiting and wondering. You should try and do something nice for yourself - it must have been a horrible time waiting.

Day 5 here.... Keeping fairly busy this week so at least that means less time to obsess about symptoms.

wifey6 · 22/11/2011 15:23

Hi cosmogirl....just feel so sad...silly I know. But I guess it does put a stop to the wondering & I can now track my cycle etc. how's everything with you?

QueenOfProcrastination · 22/11/2011 16:19

Well, we're SWIing here. I'm on CD13 so hopefully will carry on SWI until weekend then it'll be the dreaded 2WW and trying not to bankrupt myself on pg tests!

A horrible thought just occurred to me though - I'm wondering if I'm actually ovulating. I'm still BF DD (15 months) but only first thing in morning and last thing at night for 10 mins. AF returned 6 months ago and were pretty much regular from the second AF, but I'm wondering if still BF means I'm not ovulating. Anyone any ideas on that?

Purple Great news! Hope your little bean is sticking and you've not had any more bleeding. mpt glad your scan went well too, despite the stupidly long wait.

FX for BFP's for everyone this month.

wifey6 · 22/11/2011 16:22

Thank you Queen...much appreciated!

purplehonesty · 22/11/2011 18:32

Wifey sorry to hear about AF that really sucks. I have a new found love of penguins so am winging one your way.

Thanks queen am really pleased and no haven't had any more bleeding just the old stuff they saw in the womb coming out (sorry tmi)

Feeling really rotten and dreading going back to work tomorrow as I have hardly been out of bed for a week. We haven't even got a tea room and so all day sitting on a typist chair is not what I fancy right now.

wifey6 · 22/11/2011 19:20

Thank you purple....I am wishing you so much luck & happiness with this pregnancy. Smile

purplehonesty · 22/11/2011 19:52

Thank you sweetie x

agirlcalledvicky · 23/11/2011 20:43

Boring update sadly.Still waiting for periods to start after stopping BF 6 weeks ago (DS is 16 months), been a bit crampy on and off for 2 weeks now and getting more CM but nothing else. I am going to try and get a docs appt for next week, suspect I am being inpatient and there is nothing I can do other than wait. Trying to get enough swi in in case I ovulate before AF starts and might test again this weekend just in case (last did one a month ago).Getting a bit fed up.
Queen I think there is no reason why you shouldn't be ovulating if you are having periods whilst BF - I have a few friends who concieved whilst BF.

Good luck everyone!

saxony · 24/11/2011 17:51

It's gone so quiet in here!!
Good luck vicky

Af due Saturday...have had backache which is one of my usual signs so me thinks it's on its way.
I am just off to watch Sants come to out local town with ds....love Christmas!!

Good luck to everyone else waiting...lets get this thread back active again!!

x

Clandy · 24/11/2011 19:09

Eek Christmas is coming!! Getting me excited Saxony Grin

Well I have been to dos and got some anti sickness meds today so am feeling good. Might be able to eat soon.... What should I have....?

Numberjacker · 24/11/2011 19:35

Any twirl bites left?

How is everyone? I have bee so tired I have completely lost track of who is on which bench. Any testers this weekend? Fx for all, regardless if which bench your currently residing on Wink

Cosmogirl · 24/11/2011 19:56

Hi ladies,

I am due to test I think on Sunday - 10 dpo, unless I exercise some self restraint and wait until a week today when AF due....Ha who am I kidding? I have two wilkos cheapies which are cheap enough to waste though so won't feel too bad testing early. I'll save the FR.

Loads of symptoms - real or imagined I'm not sure. Today I had some snotty type CM and since then have had backache (I never get this with AF ever - in fact I don't think I've ever really had backache). Also had a bit of heartburn today, which is again very rare for me.

Clandy - glad you got some meds. What did they prescribe? I hope they continue to improve things on the sickness front.

Saxony - good luck for Saturday.

Numberjacker & Vicky - hi!

Clandy · 24/11/2011 20:00

Purple- do you mean penguins the animal or penguins the biscuit....? Just read and wondered Smile

purplehonesty · 24/11/2011 20:05

Er chocolate penguins clandy, the real ones are awfully chewy. I would recommend them as your first food! Glad to hear you have got some meds I really hope they help and you are feeling better soon.

purplehonesty · 24/11/2011 20:06

Cosmo that sounds like interesting symptoms; update us won't you as soon as you know anything. I will cross my fivers for ya

purplehonesty · 24/11/2011 20:07

Oh and also my fingers.

Clandy · 24/11/2011 20:13

Haha made me chuckle a bit as when I first read I thought you meant a real one and didn't even think it was odd Grin

Cant remember the name of the meds begins with a C if that helps...? It is just an anti nausea med but I actually feel really good and only very slightly nauseous! Happy days Grin have eaten a macdonalds and 2 yorkie yoghurts so far. Side effect is drowsiness and am feeling this but so much better than sick I could actually cry with happiness

Numberjacker · 24/11/2011 20:17

Heartburn sounds promising Cosmo (in a nice pg way - am not just wishing horrid things on you)
I am sure I have heard of that as a pg symptom Grin

purplehonesty · 24/11/2011 20:19

Lol I just read it back and it is a bit of a random comment, can see why you were confused!
Macdonalds.....mmmmmmm ooh I wish the nearest one wasn't 40 miles away. Darn this rural living!
