So, after almost turning myself inside out giving birth to DC1, we've decided to take the plunge and try for another. Thought this would be a good place to share excitement / terror / general state of knackeredness. Just watch your feet as you come in. I haven't had chance to tidy the lego away yet and you know how much it hurts when you stand on it.
Glass of Wine anyone?

Your right I shouldn't be moaning when I have the thing everyone on here wants and would give an arm or leg (or both!!) for. Need some positive thinking - least it's a good sign if a healthy pregnancy Smile and I have zero spots and am (besides feeling sorry for myself and crying rather a lot) in a good mood and not even too tired any more!! This pregnant thing is easy... Grin

Good luck to everyone waiting for af's/bfp's hope the evil witch doesn't show her face and it's morning sickness all round Grin

Btw numberjacker has anyone told you that you really do have a way with words Grin

Good luck with scans and appointments all you blooming lovely pregnant ladies and glad to hear things are looking a little more positive for you purple really hope everything is ok

Numberjacker · 16/11/2011 22:13

I know it's a bit early for Christmas Decorations in here, but I have purchased a lovely "Santa stop here" sign for outside the door of our virtual house ( or "ttc2 towers" as I call it)

I have whipped out my paintbrush and it now reads "AF do NOT stop here". So if the witch comes calling, she can jog on!

I think it should stay put until every single one of us has the coveted BFP. Hope that's ok Wink

Clandy · 16/11/2011 22:16

Pregnancy has indeed driven you crackers!! Sounds great Grin can I pour fake snow around for added Xmas feel or is that a step too far..?

Numberjacker · 16/11/2011 22:24

Not at all, get stuck in, it'll give it a nice cosy homely feel. (at least I cam blame this madness on hormones for another 8 months) Confused

saxony · 16/11/2011 22:50

I am liking the Christmas decs that have been hung up.. If everyone's af do stay away, perhaps we can paint our then redundant tampons and paint them with glitter and hang on the tree!! Ha ha
Well I think I have gone mad now but I haven't got pregnancy hormones to blame it on!!

Start of my 2ww now.....brought a tin of celebrations with me. Help yourselves...I am feeling Christmassy now due to the decs!

purplehonesty · 17/11/2011 13:01

I am going to have to ask this as it has been driving me mental....what the hell does AF actually stand for? I know what it refers to but I can't quite figure out the abbreviation!
Am really quite clever normally!!

purplehonesty · 17/11/2011 13:02

Artificial fertilisation? Actually fertile? Arable farming? Angry fishwife?

QueenOfProcrastination · 17/11/2011 13:39

Hi all, can I come and hide here too? I've got lots of Malteasers and Percy Pigs to share!

I've been lurking for a while. I've got 15 month DD and we're on cycle 2 of TTC #2. I'll join the SWI bench if I may, currently CD8 so slightly early to SWI but no harm in trying early!

Congratulations on all the BFP's, hoping your scan on Friday keeps you on BFP bench PurpleHonesty. I had some bleeding when early on in pg with DD, turned out to be cervical erosion but was an awful experience so un-mn hugs your way and fx for Friday.

agirlcalledvicky · 17/11/2011 14:27

Aunt Flo!!! Obviously.......although I dearly wish it was Angry Fishwife. Ooooh I love christmas decs, and they have a much better chance of lasting here than at home with a rampaging toddler.
Thanks for advice Cosmogirl - I think I am just being impatient to be honest, I am sure things will start again soon, everyone I have spoken to started periods about 6-12 months after birth so still waiting at 15 months seems a bit odd.
Hi queen - DS is 15 months too - fingers crossed for you this time, a two year gap would be lovely wouldn't it?
Best of luck for tm purple x

purplehonesty · 17/11/2011 15:47

Thank you queen I hope too that it's something like that. It's the waiting that's killing me, a whole week not knowing what's going on. Can I have a Percy pig please, maltesers give me spots!

Thanks Vicky; Aunt flo? What the hell? I would never have got that.
I think I shall continue to think of it as angry fishwife as that's usually how I feel.

Cosmogirl · 17/11/2011 17:40

Purple - It must be so hard waiting like that - I really feel for you. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Wifey - sorry that you are having a hard time waiting too. It really is an emotional rollercoaster this TTC business isn't it? Funny how every day can feel like a week on the 2WW too.

Queen - welcome and thanks for the treats. I'll have some percies too - yum :)

Saxony - when r u expecting AF? We can be 2WW buddies.

Clandy - sorry you are suffering. I saw your post on the HG thread. I have been posting leading up to trying - they are a lovely supportive bunch over there.

Well I'm CD13 today and think I may have figured out my cycle (Have been googling way too much lately!). Last two cycles before last one were 27 days - I think I ovulate on day 13 with a LP of 14 days, as I get lots of EWCM on day 12. This last cycle was 30 days - so slightly longer - but got two lots of EWCM on day 12 and 15, so think I ovulated late, on day 16, with an LP of 14 days that makes 30 day cycle. We are gonna have another go tonight then I figure tomorrow would be first day of 2WW if my calculations are on the right path, so would be due 1st December.

Will have a go at moving myself onto POAS bench later.

Good luck on Friday Purple....I had a bleed at 8 weeks in my last pregnancy and had to wait 4 days before they did an internal scan....the wait was excruciating so i hope you manage to keep it together before friday.

Lots of love, I am currently watching fireman sam in the hope it will make ds drop off so i can sleep before dh comes home!

xxx

purplehonesty · 17/11/2011 19:30

Thank you shomes. I will let you know how it goes. Ds loves fireman sam, he is tucked up in bed now I can hear him yawning ever so cutely over the baby monitor.
I have to go on my own tomorrow which I am a bit worried about but dh is in court and can't get out of it and my mum is having the wee fella.

Dh is not in the dock by the way lol! He is at work!

ChildOfThe1980s · 17/11/2011 20:13

Hi, we have finally decided that we can start trying for a baby :)

I am on my AF, having just come off the pill. I've been on it for years, and I have PCOS so I expect to be on the TTC#2 boards for a long stay.

I had bleeding in my first pregnancy, and thankfully it was nothing. Hoping that it's the same for you Purple.

(Helps herself to a handful of Maltesers.)

saxony · 17/11/2011 20:19

Hi Cosmo..well by my reckoning my af is due a week Saturday. Last cycle was a wierd one as af was due Sat 29th Oct but didn't arrive until Tues 1 Nov. But this month I had what I think were ov pains and very sticky cm on Sat just gone (which is 2 weeks from my original af due date) I also had a dark line on my ov stick on that Sat too. All points to the fact I ov on that Sat (with my little knowledge on the whole ov subject anyway). I managed to dtd 3 times around that weekend so my fate is in mother nature's hands now!!

So fx for another lucky month on this thread!!

Foundmymojo · 17/11/2011 21:01

Welcome to Queen and Child, save me some maltesers please.

Number, I need one of those 'AF stay away' signs, because the bitch is back today!

Was a bit upset this morning but I think I'm over it now. I've now got approx. 2ww til next possible ov. I think this month I'm going to try to relax about it as it's becoming a bit of an obsession now and when AF arrived it was upsetting. Helped to think that I will be able to have a drink at the 30th and christmas parties I've got coming up!
Fx for the current 2ww/POAS people.
Hope it goes ok tomorrow purple.

saxony · 17/11/2011 21:18

Good luck purple. Will be thinking of you.

Yes found it's upsetting when af shows her ugly face. Not only are you emotional, depressed, feel fat you also have af pains! Talk about throwing it all at you at athe same time!
Buy hey...chin up for next month...plenty of swi over the xmas period!!

purplehonesty · 17/11/2011 21:18

Tell you what, you guys are all so nice. I think this thread is the only thing keeping me sane!
Am munching salt and vinegar discos and pickled onions...my dh says I am disgusting. Anyone want some?

saxony · 17/11/2011 21:40

LOVE LOVE LOVE pickled onions and disco crisps too ...although never tried them together before! I'll have a go now thanks...

Foundmymojo · 17/11/2011 22:23

Thanks saxony - yes indeed lots of festive SWI. Dh is not complaining I must say!

Not so sure about the discos AND onions together purple, but whatever floats your boat! This thread is really nice. Felt almost tearful over that thought, bloody AF.

purplehonesty · 18/11/2011 07:24

Aw sorry to hear AF has reared her ugly head found. That's the most depressing part of ttc that moment when you feel the dreaded pain in your belly and you just know.
I hate that 2 week wait, you would think with all the modern technology we have nowadays we wouldn't have to go through this!
I meant to say saxony, a piece of cheese goes lovely with the disco/onion combo.
Been awake since 6am today and feeling really nervous. My boobs aren't as sore today nor do I feel as sick as I have been :(

wifey6 · 18/11/2011 07:52

Good luck to all you lovely ladies who have your scans today. My best wishes to you all! Smile

purplehonesty · 18/11/2011 15:16

Good news!!! I have a 7 week old bean with a strong heartbeat. However they could also see some bleeding in there too which could still threaten the pregnancy so they couldnt say for definite that it would be ok.
The nurse and doctor were so lovely and it was great to see my little bean. Had both ultrasound and internal scan and feeling very relieved although a bit worried as consultant said I could still miscarry.
Fingers crossed all will be ok.

wifey6 · 18/11/2011 15:20

Wow purple...congrats!! I will keep my fingers crossed that you & your little bean have a safe & happy pregnancy!! Smile
