So, after almost turning myself inside out giving birth to DC1, we've decided to take the plunge and try for another. Thought this would be a good place to share excitement / terror / general state of knackeredness. Just watch your feet as you come in. I haven't had chance to tidy the lego away yet and you know how much it hurts when you stand on it.
Glass of Wine anyone?

Oh ladies it looks like I am going to have to be removed from the bfp bench just had a mc today I think at 6 weeks. Am gutted I just told the girls at work yesterday as I was being so sick. And then it happens today. Dh collected me from work and went to midwife who wants to do hormone level tests next week but think it is too late I have lost quite a bit of blood.
So sad today :(

saxony · 11/11/2011 17:39

Oh purple, so sad for you. Big hugs to you.Although, I had bleeding with ds at 8 weeks, so it may not be a mc?

Let us know how the tests go
xx

monkeypuzzeltree · 11/11/2011 18:34

Purple, I am so sorry to hear that, if you look down the thread you'll see the same thing happened to me, I realised it was a lot more common than I realised, and I appreciate that is no comfort right now but I hope you are feeling ok.

Be nice to yourself and get lots of rest, I found the whole hormone up and down thing to be exhausting and made me quite up and down mood wise, but it passes quickly and then you can look forward again. Take care.

purplehonesty · 11/11/2011 19:11

Thank you. I was so sure it was going to be ok as I feel sick pretty much all the time and have huge boobs and so bloated! And then with no warning this! But the midwife says nature takes it's course and I just have to see how it goes. I don't know what to expect now it's been on and off all day and she says if I mc there will be a lot more. So that's something to look forward to!
Dh has been lovely today flapping round me like a motherly hen bringing me drinks and chocolate and tea and biscuits! But he got rather confused when he had to go and buy me some pads and I've now got a jumbo box of cotton wool pads and another of pantyliners. Bless.

Clandy · 11/11/2011 19:52

Oh no!! Sad purple hope you are ok. Glad to hear OH is looking after you and providing chocolate!! Fingers crossed for you and baby.

YankNCock · 12/11/2011 08:51

purplehonesty, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I had a MC with my first pregnancy, and not knowing what to expect was pretty awful. We won't remove you from the bench just yet, things may yet turn out ok. My friend had loads of bleeding with her DD.

Grin at cotton wool pads and pantyliners. Poor guy.

Cosmogirl · 12/11/2011 09:25

Morning,

Purple - so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are coping as well as can be expected. Be gentle with yourself. I echo what the others have said re hoping it is just some bleeding, which can happen.

Vicky - welcome to the thread. I don't think irregular cycles are necessarily a bad thing. The important part is ovulation and your LP I think. I've been googling quite a lot lately!

Off for a weekend away. I am so bad at packing and organising and have been getting very stressed! A 2 and a half year old trying to help is not helping matters!

We had SWI yesterday - only CD7 but felt quite wet (not EWCM tho) and had been having some twinges on left side, like Ov pain. I thought we might as well. Will be next week more than likely to give it a good go though.

Hope you all have a good weekend. x

purplehonesty · 12/11/2011 09:27

Well I had an ok night and slept really well, haven't had any more bleeding since tea time last night. But this morning the usual sickness and sore boobs seem to have gone so I am guessing that's it.
Feeling ok suprisingly and thinking if it wasn't meant to be then it's better it happened now than a lot later on.

hobnobnomnom · 12/11/2011 15:50

big hugs purple xxx

Foundmymojo · 12/11/2011 20:13

Sorry to hear that purple. It is good that you are feeling fairly positive.

saxony · 12/11/2011 21:21

purplehonesty · 13/11/2011 08:09

shomes · 13/11/2011 08:41

Big hugs purple, that must have been horrendous for you, i thought i lost out DS at 9 weeks but it was just a funny cervix issue.

Good luck to everyone, keep going!

Foundmymojo · 13/11/2011 13:59

Congratulations Shomes - you can join the crowded BFP bench now! Keep well.

Nocoffeenoworkee · 13/11/2011 15:50

Crikey, so many BFPs, I must join this thread! Cutting to the chase I'm at the distinguished age of 33 with a super amazing DS of 19 months and quite fancy my chances at another little drain on my total lack of disposable income. Copper coil coming out on weds on CD17 so a good 3 weeks before any SWI but plenty of practice. DH already looking hunted, he loves it Wink. Nice to join you ladies, happy shagging.

Clandy · 13/11/2011 16:26

Congratulations shomes!! Grin

And welcome nocoffee!! Feel free to make yourself at home amongst the crumbs, sticky handprints and forgotten toys! Now must dash the toilet is calling again- baby doesnt agree with whatever smell has just graced my nose.....

Foundmymojo · 13/11/2011 19:39

Hi nocoffee!

Did anyone else start imagining symptoms/feeling anxious towards POAS time? I keep googling 'early pregnancy signs' and torturing myself. Have had some low abdominal/back pain but could just be coincidental. Also, wondered if I'm weeing more but it's only because I'm looking for things IYSWIM. I really don't want to delay AF (and therefore think I am pg) just because I'm stressing/overthinking things. Still got 3 days to go. Grrr.
Might ban myself from the internet.

Cosmogirl · 13/11/2011 19:58

Evening,

Congratulations Shomes!! That is wonderful news. Really pleased for you.

Purple - glad you are feeling ok & philosophical about things.

Foundmymojo - you poor thing. You are so not alone on feeling anxious and imagining symptoms. Google is not a good thing for women on the 2WW! Hope the next few days whizz past for you.

Welcome nocoffee :)

Well CD 9 here. Had SWI CD 7 and today and will probably keep at it for the next 5 days. Hopefully should get EWCM/signs of OV next week - normally do. Have had what I think is a bit of OV pain last couple of days.

Good luck to everyone else x

vovere · 14/11/2011 18:39

Is anyone taking evening primrose oil to help with ttc? I am on CL # 4 after MC in June. So just really looking for advice and encouragement.

agirlcalledvicky · 14/11/2011 20:54

Oooh been away for a few days and another one, congratulations shomes! And sorry purple, you sound very positive and you never know things may still work out.

Still waiting for periods to start since giving up bf a month ago. DS is almost 16 months and I am wondering whether there is something wrong to have not started cycling again - although I completely stopped a month ago I had dropped down to 1 or 2 tiny feeds 4 months ago. I think I just need to patient but I might see the doc if af doesn't arrive soon - anyone else any experience of things taking a while to get back to normal after stopping bf?

vovere - never heard to taking evening primrose to ttc - but i guess it can't hurt? keep up the good work cosmogirl and i hope the next few days speed by foundmymojo. Good luck everyone and as nocoffee said - happy shagging! haha

Numberjacker · 14/11/2011 21:16

Just a quick visit in today for me, just wanted to pass on big hugs to Purple. Just read the weekend threads, and hope you are doing ok.

Cosmogirl · 14/11/2011 21:32

Vovere - hi there. Unfortunately I'm not sure about primrose oil. Hopefully someone else on the thread might know.

Vicky - I BF for 21 months. I practised what is termed ecological BFing (so feeding on demand day and night and not using any artificial nipples, dummies etc) My period did not come back until I weaned DD at 21 months. It took about 2 and a half months for me to ovulate so first cycle was long, like 50-something days. But after that it settled back to between 28-30 days.

Have had another go today - CD10. Feels a bit early still but have been having lots of ov pain and had some very stretchy CM today so thought we should give it a shot!

Are you hanging in there with the wait foundmymojo?

Purple - thinking of you.

Hi Numberjacker and anyone else lurking.
