So, after almost turning myself inside out giving birth to DC1, we've decided to take the plunge and try for another. Thought this would be a good place to share excitement / terror / general state of knackeredness. Just watch your feet as you come in. I haven't had chance to tidy the lego away yet and you know how much it hurts when you stand on it.
Glass of Wine anyone?

oh Clandy! Hope the sickness passes quickly. I was putting on a new toilet seat yesterday and had flashbacks to all the times I was intimately acquainted with it during pregnancy. Envy

YankNCock · 08/11/2011 08:54

Peed in a cup this morning and went to the local shop first thing for tests. Did an Asda cheapie and a Clearblue Digital.

Both positive! yipeee!!!!!!!!!!!

RIBS · 08/11/2011 13:14

Hi all.

Congrats Yank! Really pleased for you. I know I should be in another thread by now as im up the duff, but keep taking a peek here to see how every1 is doing and its nice to nip in to find some great news.

I think this is a lucky thread we've had quite a few BFP's.

I see Clandy is feeling the wonderful, er, glow that being pg gives. So far, im pretty good, a bit knackered but not much more than usual, just belching like an old man after 6 pints of lager! Im such a lady!

Good luck every1. XXX

Amazing news, well done to you and mr Yank.

hobnobnomnom · 08/11/2011 16:26

Hiya Im new here ladies ttc#2, dc #1 is 11, Ive had a mirena for last 4.5 yrs and had it taken out 5th oct, ever since ive been light headed and occasionally nauseous but have taken 2 tests and both negative, dont know if its just hormones flying around or what? Any advice??

monkeypuzzeltree · 08/11/2011 17:07

That's great news Yank! This thread is doing well! GrinGrinGrinGrin

Cosmogirl · 08/11/2011 17:12

Huge congrats Yank!! Definitely a successful thread. Sorry you're feeling rough Clandy :( hope it doesn't last too long this time. Is it nausea or vomiting or both?

I bought two FR rests in Asda last night. 2 for 7 quid. Makes it feel a bit more real somehow! Only CD4 so early days but AF only 3 days so finished Monday so won't be too long I guess! Eek!!

Hobnob- welcome - I'm new too. Not sure about the coil - hopefully someone else will know. Was it non hormonal? It might take time for things to settle?

saxony · 08/11/2011 17:30

CONGRATS YANK!!
This is great news! And a warm welcome to the newbies.

shomes · 08/11/2011 17:33

Evening all.....Yank....brill news so excited for you!!!! I went to docs today for Asthma review and ended up having to be referred for bloods and ecg for palpitations!!! Just what i needed on a grim tues afternoon! Well lets hope all these dark nights lead to more Swi for everyone then we may get a few more BFP's!!

Clandy....sorry to hear your feeling less that perfect, hope it will pass soon, i was lucky enough not to have any of that first time round but who knows....

Hoping AF stays away this month :0

saxony · 08/11/2011 17:43

Crossing my fingers for you Shomes..

Clandy · 08/11/2011 18:46

Congratulations Yank so pleased for you Grin

Yeah major nausea and some sickness not as bad as last time yet and haven't completely gone off eating which is a bonus Smile right grumpy tho and very tired everyone at work keeps asking what's wrong!! I don't think I'm very good at early pregnancy!!! Glad everyone seems to be doing well!!

Clandy · 08/11/2011 18:46

Oh and welcome hobnob!! Grin

nearlymumofone · 08/11/2011 19:23

Hey, Congrats on all the BFPs! And welcome hobnob.

I can't believe how many there are now from when I last checked in. Trying to be chilled this month, started using CBFM at the beginning of the month, but it stopped working. Amazon are sending me another, so I will start back with that this month. ASW EOD at the moment and trying not to think about it.

Out of interest, how long has it taken all you with BFPs to get your BFPs?

saxony · 08/11/2011 19:46

I know nearly, I was thinking the same thing too - It doesn't seem like that long ago that I joined this thread but all these lovely bfps are happening so it seems like it's all happened quickly and it made me panic at first but thinking about it, maybe it didn't happen so quickly for everyone?

Clandy · 08/11/2011 20:30

Took last pill end of July and ttc that month, stopped ttc due to work, missed next af and one after two weeks after that got bfp and conceived at some point between then.... So about 2 months/cycles!! Good luck everyone still ttc and fingers crossed we are all as lucky! Grin

Numberjacker · 08/11/2011 20:52

Hi HobNob welcome to the lucky thread.

I Came off pill in April, and have short cycles so think it was 7 or 8 cycles before BFP Grin

Foundmymojo · 08/11/2011 21:02

Congratulations Yank, it's been nice to hear about lots of successful BFPs recently.
Saxony - I know what you mean it's hard not to panic isn't it, because once you know you're TTC you want it NOW!
I'm convinced although managed SWI around ov, this is not the month for me, don't know why, just got a feeling.
Hope you feel better soon Clandy, morning sickness bleurgh.

hobnobnomnom · 09/11/2011 16:29

thanks for the welcome ladies :-)

To be honest Im not up to date with what the different benches are mojo

I just got a BFN but im probably being a bit optimistic so far I just dont know where im at as I havent had any "normal" cycles yet. I just keep on getting light headed and nauseous and for the last couple of days my boobs have started to ache, DH said they're bigger which he is rather pleased about ;-)

YankNCock · 10/11/2011 14:56

hobnob, the benches are:

Waiting to Pee On A Stick (past ovulation, now waiting to test)

Waiting to Shag With Intent (not pregnant and before ovulation)

Big Fat Positive (pregnant!)

If you aren't sure, best to stick yourself on the SWI waiting bench for now.

Already forgot who asked, but this was my second month trying. Quite amazed as it took a year the first time, I miscarried, then it was another 3 months before DS. I have PCOS and irregular cycles so I've been very lucky this time really.

agirlcalledvicky · 10/11/2011 15:14

Hello can I join this hotbed of BFP activity
I am 31 and DS is 15 months now. I stopped breastfeeding 3 weeks ago and still waiting for my first period post baby. I took 6 weeks for my periods to return after stopping the pill to TTC#1 and so I am hoping it will be only another few weeks before my period return this time (maybe odd way of thinking about it but guessing BF hormones are like the pill???). I am trying to get in enough SWI in case I get one of those ovulation before period that I've heard can happen but suspect are myth. I conceived DS first cycle after stopping the pill and am hoping for similar luck this time but more likely it will take much longer as I have very long irregular cycles. Hello to everyone and congratulations to all those who've got pregnant so far. Smile

hobnobnomnom · 10/11/2011 15:57

thanks yank, I'll park my bottom on the SWI bench then please! Good luck ladies xxx

Yes planning to get some swi in over the weekend. Supposed to be ovulating early next week but have actually got ovulation stick this time to confirm.

So hope this month is the month - good luck everyone still trying

Hi Vicky, welcome to the madhouse!

Thanks for the stats update Yank, you're very efficient Wink
