So, after almost turning myself inside out giving birth to DC1, we've decided to take the plunge and try for another. Thought this would be a good place to share excitement / terror / general state of knackeredness. Just watch your feet as you come in. I haven't had chance to tidy the lego away yet and you know how much it hurts when you stand on it.
Glass of Wine anyone?

Clandy, if it helps, I am an only child and never missed brothers or sisters at all, it is only now that I am older that I am envious of friends and DH and the relationships they have with siblings, and that is one reason I know I want to give DD the chance to have that. All your thoughts are totally rational, don't beat yourself up.

Hope everyone is ok - just wanted to check in and say hi, have to dash now as I'M OVULATING!!!!! We have to SWI pronto! Mind you, DD has a chest infection and I was up most of last night, so not exactly on form!

Look forward to hearing test results, fingers crossed!

Clandy · 10/10/2011 12:39

Woo hoo mpt hope you got lots of swi in Grin and soon get a bfp!

I do want two and OH says he would leave if I didn't as he def does just had a wobble Smile fell better now tho.... Ish haha. Still no af and having some definite (what I would put down to being) pg symptoms.... would be testing if I knew there was even a possible chance but there is not. Tho can start trying again if it holds off a little longer.

How is everyone??

HerniaGranger · 10/10/2011 22:53

Hello ladies!

Been missing you so I thought I'd drop off a crate of pub snacks for you to enjoy. (Btw no pickled eggs included. Why would you eat such a thing?)

May the (pregnancy) force be with you.

UGH! AF came today right on time! I n a way i'm kind of relieved, we are moving house at the moment and its all a bit overwhelming so perhaps it was not the right time! Anyway will by cheapo ov sticks this month to see what happens and start doing it properly now!

Good luck to all of you still trying x

Numberjacker · 11/10/2011 22:33

Hi all

Hope everyone is ok? The link to this thread disappeared off my phone, i thought i had lost everyone!

Sorry to hear about AF Shomes, glad you're able to put a positive spin on it.

Glad you're over you're wobble,Clandy. Do let us know when you are SWI, as I think there's a few cycle buddies this time around.

Great to hear from you HG, I hope all is well with you? Many thanks for the snacks...mmmmm

I am on the SWI bench, awaiting my call up to the team - should be due a call up any minute now....

nearlymumofone · 12/10/2011 09:53

Shomes sorry to hear that, it's always crappy but at least you've got a lot on with the move to keep you busy.

Number me too (ish, I'm starting to wonder whether I am ov'ing at all, but if I am should be this week)

Clandy I think your concerns are totally normal, I have a few friends in RL who are pregnant, ttc or just had their second and most have had similar concerns.

Anyway, off to obsessively check CM now...

Clandy · 12/10/2011 12:48

Hello. Numberjacker I have my fingers crossed for your bfp this time. If af holds off for one more week it will be swi this month for me Grin although am slightly tempted to take a test to see if my not swi failed... No af over a week late and some funny symptoms. Prob just being silly tho!!

Any other news from the 2ww bench....?

monkeypuzzeltree · 12/10/2011 17:20

Sorry to hear that Shoames, rubbish, sounds like you do have a lot on though

You can't get rid of us that easily Number!

Good to hear from Hernia, how are you doing. We are coming to join you soon, promise!Grin

I am now in the 2ww, will not be testing for a while yet, think Tuesday is earliest, even though I have about 25, yes 25 tests upstairs Blush was an Internet deal you see!

Numberjacker · 12/10/2011 22:19

25? As in twenty five!? Ha that's dedication! I can feel an ironic BFP coming your way, whereby you have to sell the remaining 24 on eBay.Grin

Clandy · 12/10/2011 22:25

Oooh how exciting mpt.... I second that you will not need the other 24 and I may hunt you down on eBay for some cheapo tests Grin with 25 you could test everyday over 2ww with some to spare and you won't even need a telling off for testing early as would be rude not too with so many tests Smile

monkeypuzzeltree · 12/10/2011 22:37

Yes, 25, I bought a ov test / pg test bundle on amazon and you were meant to email them and say how many of each you wanted, I forgot and got 25 of each!

Hang on, also during early part of last MC I bought 2 packs of clearblue digis too... forgot about those bad boys, I didn't need them last time, was blinking obvious!!! Crikey, there is going to have to be some self control between now and tuesday!!

If I get a BFP this time, it would be incredibly lucky and I'll be sending the tests your way!!!

RIBS · 13/10/2011 15:18

Hi Everyone,
Just pooping (ooops) make that popping by - my fingers are totally unable to type today.
SHOMES My mum always says, new house - new baby!!! It worked for me 1st time round too.
Im the same as MPT with the tests, think ive got about 18 left in my bundle. Which makes it more compelling just to test for the sake of it. Fingers x'd the SWIing went ahem well!!!

I (think) ovulated 9 days ago, was all sexed up so fingers crossed, but I refuse to test before the weekend. But im actually late by my standards as im now into week 9 since last period, usually 5-8 weeks. Even if the old cow doesnt turn up im going to the gynae on Weds and hope for clomid and twins!
Is that greedy. I reckon (all being well) il be 38 by the time the babys born so its my last go, id be too knackered after that even if anything works.

My cheapO internet test sticks are only 10mp whatever does that mean that can detect earlier or later than the 25 ones????

Clandy - this sounds promising. How long ru waiting b4 testing??? How funny do you feel!!

HerniaGranger · 13/10/2011 16:42

Hello again ladies.

Crikey, I've missed you. Really, really hope you'll be joining me very soon.

Things going well now on pregnancy front. Had a scary bleed for 5 / 6 days last week and ended up at EPU for a scan. Turns out I've got an abrasion on my cervix which is nothing to worry about. Still, felt pretty miserable last week and very nervous but feeling much happier now. (Had stern words with cervix. I think we understand each other now.)

Junior is due on 29 April. I've got my dating scan next week so no doubt that date will change again.

Hoping to catch-up on all your news v soon. So far have read messages about virtual black market in OV sticks and Clandy denying all knowledge of her symptoms. Get testing, lady!

HG

Thanks all of you for the support, really glad that some of us are succeeding. Got a bit emotional about it with DH but I will continue to stay positive!

Am beginning to wonder too if i am not ovulating but will keep very close eye this month and see then if there might be something amiss!!

Keep SWIing x

Clandy · 13/10/2011 19:24

Hi hernia!! Wow so glad to hear all is well with you and little junior! Do tell bout symptoms, any bump yet? Tell all so I can brood!! Grin

RIBS- got very tight and painful lower stomach not like period pain more stretchy but same area (wind?) also felling queasy/off food. Had a few days of extreme grumpy/angry feelings which only have ever experienced whilst pg last time (OH may say just normal for me Grin) and very forgetful even in the middle of a sentence I forget what I'm saying (tired) hmmmm I just don't know not like you lucky ladies with 10000 tests have none in except the high and almighty clear blue digital that I shall not waste til I have already confirmed bfp haha.

monkeypuzzeltree · 15/10/2011 09:17

Clandy, any chance you can nip by boots and pick up one of their cheapys? Just for our benefit you understand? Grin
Quite understand keeping back the clearblue, I do the same!

Clandy · 15/10/2011 12:38

Grin going to asda later so could pick one up then just for you mpt!! I think tho it's af pain spent the last two nights on sofa with hot water bottle in so much pain, still no sign of it tho.

Any way any one got nice weekend plans or are they on hold for 2ww....? Smile

nearlymumofone · 15/10/2011 13:27

Clandy this could be promising. fx for you!!

I don't think I've ov'd this month and on cd16 of 25-27 day cycle. So either not ov'ing or oving too late? Who knows. Bought CBFM last night, I really want to relax and let nature take it's course, but hey, it's not in my nature.

If I have ov'd this month, although my gut is no, I would be in 2ww. I am going out for food, cocktails and probably a few fags. I'm so sure I can't be pg i can't see it makes any difference!

monkeypuzzeltree · 15/10/2011 21:29

Oh no Clandy, I hope not AF pains. Am off to do our monthly bargain asda shop tomorrow, I guess I don't need to buy any tests! Grin

Let us know if you test....

YankNCock · 15/10/2011 22:23

Hello all! Still on the bench, but planning relentlessly. Productivity app on phone set to remind me to SWI starting tomorrow. I have promised DH something special if we can manage to SWI every other day until I've ovulated. Luck will probably have it that this is one of those months where I ovulate extremely late or not at all!

I keep thinking about that last cycle. Since I got periods back with DS, I've been having a short luteal phase of only 9 days. This last one was 13 days. Has it magically righted itself? Just a fluke? Or possibly a very very early miscarriage? I suppose it doesn't really matter. We will see what this month holds.

Do those pub snacks include scampi fries?

purplehonesty · 16/10/2011 21:04

I read this thread the first day it started and I wanted to join in but I was too shy.

And nuttily I thought I'd already be pg by now.

So hello...I have a 2yo DS already who I got pg with on my first try. DC2 is not being so compliant

I have a tub of Mackie's chocolate ice cream and a flake...can I come in please?

nearlymumofone · 17/10/2011 06:52

Welcome purple. Mackie's chocolate ice cream and a flake. Of course you can come in, as long as I can sit next to you. Yum!

Well cd18, of a usually 25-27 day cycle have SWI every day from 9-17. Can I stop now, we are both bored now and need a break!!Don't think I've ov'd though- I poaos on a few days and nothing- 2 days I had a faint line but that's it, and no EWCM. But I'm already feeling my early AF symptoms...

Numberjacker · 17/10/2011 08:42

Haha Yank, love the way you have a app to remind you to SWI, could be embarrassing at work Wink

Clandy · 17/10/2011 19:17

Hello everybody, and welcome to purple glad ya came and joined Smile
Lovely to hear you are all swi Grin hope the wait is not to boring but that it is filled with plenty of symptoms that lead to bfp's. Plus I can get my symptom spotting fix as clearly I am obsessed.... Symptoms on a postcard please!

Have decided not to test as i have a busy week with the head observing my lesson tomorrow and parents evening on Wednesday. Still no af but know I am deluding myself as we only managed swoi about 2 days last month so would I've to be some kind of superior fertile couple to have made a baby.

nearlymumofone · 17/10/2011 19:23

Clandy when I got pg with ds when only dtd twice that month, both times outside of what I thought my fertile period was. The 5 months leading up to that we'd SWI every other day. So you never know... fx.

I have bad AF pains at cd18 of a 25-27 cycle, so no symptoms for me, just that af is once again approaching!
