hippychick66 · 26/09/2011 19:33

Thanks TTT - I wanna be like your gran Grin Must have been excruciating to read about C's friends starting school. So many milestones for you - it makes my heart ache for you. have a great holiday (who says you ain't no yummy mummy girl??? - said in a teenage accent of course)

BiscuitBiscuit watch - they are bloody solid - arrgghhh it's the hope that kills me SadGrinHmm

lou glad you had a good break. i know she's buggin' you but i for one am glad GILS is a big bird (she'll be a lovely healthy bundle for you). (so close now sweetie).

shandy I think we all do that - we question if we really want it and if we can even cope with it just as a bit of a 'playing devil's advocate' type thing. You know you want this little bean and you know you'll cope you're just scared to believe. Keep going one day at a time ((()))

Bb how many weeks are you now?

diege hope the pain isn't too bad.

Love to everyone else.

ps italian can't wait to hear when those embies are all snuggled in Grin.

hippychick66 · 27/09/2011 09:29

I suspect boob watch may be drawing to a close Sad. They are still solid and temp was really high this morning, BUT I have lower back pain and this morning the toilet paper was kinda pink (you know when it's not actual spotting but just kinda pale pink discharge) sorry TMI probably.

I'm just pissed off!!Angry

OP posts:
AngelGeorgie · 27/09/2011 09:32

Sorry Hippy xxx Wink

hippychick66 · 27/09/2011 10:21

Diege · 27/09/2011 12:02

Arghh Hippy I really hope that's not it for this month Sad Not over yet as you know, but think I would be feeling equally pissed off.
Feeling bleughh here, as have sinusitus and have been in bed since sun pm. A little better than yesterday, so fingers crossed will be up tomorrow.
Big weak yet well-intended wave to all xxx

TinaO99 · 27/09/2011 12:12

morning ladies, back from sunny Turkey now (unfortunately) sorry to hear your boob watch may be coming to nothing hippy I still hadn't heard anything from the hospital about my lap and dye op despite the Dr referring me over a month ago so i called the clinic this morning - apprently the hospital now need me to have some blood tests - as if I haven't had enough, I'm well and truly p**d off, the delays are really getting me down now especially as the Dr said in her referral letter that she was under the impression the NHS would not pay for the op - stupid woman if she goes in giving them such an easy way out of paying why on earth should they??? Anyway rant over, lots of SWI-ing on holiday, weather was gorgeous and seemed to 'suit' my dh Grin but as I feel so low this morning I'm practically crawling on the floor I'm presuming nothing happened as it sure feels like PMT to me :-(

hope everyone else is ok? Good luck to italian and fireflies how are you?

BeattieBow · 27/09/2011 12:58

hello all. tina sorry you feel rubbish. Might just be the grey english weather though rather than pmt. It's enough to make anyone feel crap. Glad you had a good holiday though!

hippy hope it's not all over for you. diegesorry you're feeling crap too. Hope you're on the mend now.

I went to the drs yesterday and sobbed all over her Blush and she gave me some medicine - metoclopramide. I do feel a bit better today (maybe) but hard to tell. and did spend alot of time throwing up yesterday. Haven't gone to work today though but may have to tomorrow.
ttt I love Italy Envy hope you are doing well. How old is M now? and weren't you thinking about ttc again???!

shandy i've been having similar thoughts to you. ridiculous when you think how obsessed I've been with this ttc business. but a little part of me is terrified of the disruption and wondering if I've done the right thing. I have decided that if it goes wrong for me this time I'm stopping.

Diege · 27/09/2011 13:45

Hi! Tina my first thought also was holiday blues rather than pmt - does sound like you had a great time there Envy
BB Great to hear from you and that you have been to the GP. If the meds don't work (and there are ones which are just as safe but (some say) miles better - metoclopramide is a bit 'old skool' Wink) then go back and don't be fobbed off. Expect it to take at least a week to kick in too. You're doing so well and being so strong xxx

BeattieBow · 27/09/2011 15:17

thanks Diege. Which do you think would be better? Nausea is my biggest issue rather than vomiting (that as well now though!) - and was defo dehydrated yesterday. She didn't really know much about it, had to refer to the book etc and was stressing risks etc. I thought about going back tomorrow, but guess I'd better give it a few more days!

Diege · 27/09/2011 16:34

Hi BB. I'd give it a few more days (3 max) but would then go back and ask for either cyclazine or stemitol. I had stemitol (buccastem) with ds and couldn't tolerate having it under my top lip which is the way they usually give - horrible bitter taste that made me retch. Cyclazine was, for me, a godsend and I had it this time from 5 weeks until around 16. 3 tabs a day and I'd say within 48 hrs the effect was dramatic. Side effects are dizziness and a sort of sleepy 'high' that last for about a week but then goes. I was still sick once/twice a day but only felt nauseas a few mins before being sick (ie. that day long underlying nausea disappeared) and I was able to go to work etc. Of course, you may find the one you are on now works for you, but I think it's half the battle knowing that there are other more commonly prescribed very safe meds available. Just shout if you need to know any more - I am sadly a bit of an expert in this area!

BeattieBow · 27/09/2011 18:23

Thannks Diege will try one of those. I think the one I'm on does work a bit but only for a couple of hours. It knocks me out too. I. Am normally sick up to 24 weeks eek! Am only 7 now.

Diege · 27/09/2011 22:26

No problem. The meds will build up in your system though, which will hopefully mean that the relief you get will soon last longer than at present. I don't envy you the length of time your sickness lasts, though oddly mine seems to have come back a little the past few weeks which is very odd Hmm.
Feeling better tonight and hoping that I'm over the worst of the sinus thing. Can fully dwell on the spd now Wink
Hope everyone's ok!

10000fireflies · 27/09/2011 23:22

Evening my lovelies. OMG, is busy as ever on here!! Sorry I've been awol for a bit. Thanks We had a few days in Italy (same time as TTT, but a but further north), and have been sorting out various bits and pieces. Feeling much more positive after follow up appointment with Lister today. She said that with such a good response up to embryo transfer, and then loss at day 24 was not at all right and need to do immune tests before doing another cycle or transferring Tony/Tonya/frostie transfer (I know Italian - exactly what you suggested!!). Was very good to hear. We had contacted the Infertility Network for independent advice and it took 4 weeks to get a very non-commital response which was just plain depressing, so good to feel on the up again.

We also have finally been given appointment at ARGC - in 11 weeks time in mid-December!

Italian - so excited for you!! Not long now!!!
BB - sorry to hear about morning sickness. Must be grim. But is so good that you are still preggers.
Tina - hope you get some sunshine in the next few days to cheer you up a bit. Your doc sounds truly c$*P. Can you manage to go private? I think it was £1.5K for my lap and dye. Not peanuts, but there was no hanging around and the hospital was quite nice too.

I'm going to have to sign off now without name-checking as I am knackered. Hugs and positive vibes to everyone. xx

hopefulgum · 28/09/2011 00:18

Yes, so much going on. I just want to grab my spot so that it is easy to find you next time.
I'm working everyday this week. Have done two days and feel knackered! Glad I don't have to keep this up all the time. I'm just thinking of the dollars.

Will be back later. Flowers Thanks for everyone!

Italiangreyhound · 28/09/2011 08:46

Flowers, wow Thanks, Thanks.

Fireflies glad Dr Cake could be of assistance. Let me know how it all goes, please. Hugs, honey.

TTT, Hippy and co thanks for your kind thoughts and words.

Diege · 28/09/2011 08:55

Excellent news fireflies - must feel so good to have an on the ball consultant.
Sounds busy Gum - hope you get a bit of time to relax too xHi
Hi Italian, not long now!
Hippy, how are the temps this morning?
Feeling better here, off to hosp this afternoon for some sort of physio session Confused linked to antenatal care, labour, and post-birth. I think I signed up to it thinking it would be nice to be involved in some kind of antenatal session (no-one asks me to come to the classes anymore!) but as usual the idea appeals more than the slog to get there...At least I can ask about the spd I suppose!
Hope everyone is well and happy - have to try and dig out something vaguely summery from the 'up to the loft' bags with a promised 25 degrees!

Italiangreyhound · 28/09/2011 09:43

Our news ..... seven eggs Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Diege · 28/09/2011 09:54

Shock Grin Wow Italian that is great news, you must be delighted. So what's the timetable now???

TinaO99 · 28/09/2011 10:20

fantastic news Italian!!
Fireflies glad to hear things are moving along a bit now for you. I investigated the cost of a private op, would be around £2500 - I have just got some shares from an employee scheme so I could do it if necessary. Apparently I have to have the 3 and 21 day blood tests again - why?????? Whats have they got to do with having a lap and dye??? I'm going to speak to the Dr tomorrow and find out why as I'm confused, surely these are only needed in the initial fertility investigations??? I think there has been a cock up as the clinic mentioned was the fertility clonic and I was expecting it to be from the gynae clinic, please don't tell me they're referred me for initial investigations again - i've had all those and the bills to show :-(

ever feel like you're banging your head on a brick wall!

hippychick66 · 28/09/2011 11:19

Temp still high but spotting has started and dolly parton has left the builing. I just feel annoyed at my own fecking stupidity. Why can't I get the hint and stop hoping.

Good news on the eggs - Italian.

Would give you all flowers but am on phone and can't do it.

I must make myself enjoy the beach after school. Weather is fab and it is NOT the end of the world that I am not preggo.

Just popped in as had panic attack in the middle of last night that I had missed Louisesh's due date! Glad you're getting lots of rest - can you remind my sleep deprived brain when GILS is due?

Great news Italian! Smile

Sorry this month hasn't worked out Hippy x

Diege - can't believe you're so far along.

Sorry that I've probably missed loads of people out but just had a very quick skim read to reassure myself that GILS hadn't arrived!

Love to all.

Curlylox · 28/09/2011 13:04

lolfactor · 28/09/2011 20:24

Angel put your feet up and have a nice Brew.
Italian just brilliant! Wish we could all have seven lovely eggs. It was heartening to read Gum's research about our eggs still being lovely whatever our age - they're only spoilt by growing in the equivalent of a run-down bus shelter.

Can't name check - sorry guys, but I'm just too tired. I wore heels to work today. Big mistake. 12 hours later I finally came home and they're now throbbing away in a pair of cosy uggs. I've started taking 50mg of DHEA and I'm terrified. I know I've got to take 75mgs to make any difference but I'm going to have to work my way up to it. Just bought some co-enzyme Q10. I swore I'd never do any of this. Hey ho.
