Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage and too nervous to move over the to pregnancy boards? Freaking out about spotting, cramping, symptoms (or lack there of) and nervously awaiting your first scan? Here is a lovely place for lot's of support, hand holding and problem sharing.

Courtesy of owlbooty here are the Ten Commandments of the Freak Out Room.

1. Thou shalt check thy knickers to the point of insanity until the baby actually arrives.
2. Thou shalt also check the loo roll post-wipeage (sorry, gross, I know)
3. Thou shalt bore thy physician and midwife to tears with the mentalling.
4. And thy husband/boyfriend/family/neighbour's cat.
5. Thou shalt obsess over the absence of symptoms.
6. And the presence of symptoms.
7. And the fluctuation of symptoms.
8. Thou shalt pee on a vast number of sticks and keep ClearBlue and First Response in business.
9. The day before any scan extreme mentalling is permitted without recourse to the Haddock.

10. Self-diagnosis with Dr Google is Forbidden.

The Haddock will be applied liberally to all transgressors.

Hello all, I recognise some of you from previous threads waves to Shell, harassed and WIW.

I had a mmc in the middle of May and an ERPC a few days later. I got a BFN on a cheapie two weeks after the ERPC and my AF four weeks later. My AF is due again on Sat but felt woozy the other night so decided to POAS with a First Response HPT yesterday and it was BFP! Not sure whether it really is a BFP as I know the FR tests are hyper sensitive so it could be residual hCG after the mc. Tested again this am with Clearblue and it was BFP again. Not sure whether this could also be left over from the mc as I think the CB tests are also sensitive.

Anyway, just to say I'm lurking and hoping beyond hope to be joining you guys soon. Will test with a cheapie on Sat, wish me luck!

Having hit the 6 weeks mark today I think I can add myself to the list. Still definitely not out of the woods by a long shot but trying to be positive about it all.

Very pleased with all the good scan news and here's hoping for lots more :o

Hello marathonmama - congrats on bfp!

Sorry didn't post yesterday but back so late I went to bed. Phew scan was all good! I cried quite a lot when she said there's a baby in there (there may have been snot as well)! I was so worried beforehand my legs were actually shaking. NT wad 1.6 which I think is fine? Google seemed to think so.

Marathonmama - congratulations, there is no way that so many weeks on after bfn tests that it is anything other than a lovely new pregnancy, may this one go smoothly and troublefree for you.

ladybird - take it easy, those stretching pains as the uterus pops up are not fun.

My update:
Bleeding got heavy last night and lots of clots this morning, bad all morning, but this afternoon seems to have got lighter. I am thinking that it is all over. I know I said I would stay positive til monday, but my uterus definitely is smaller. I think I passed it this morning. I am sure that the scan on monday will confirm that it is all over. I have found all the positive scan stories on here really encouraging, and helpful to know that things can go right. But I know in my heart that it is over for me. Thank you for all being so encouraging.

Ignore my last post marathon it should read as you have had a BFN this must be a new BFP yay ....it's been a long day ha ha

I'm so sorry willitbe hope you have people in the RL to lean on x

I'm very relieved to say that my update for today is good - bleeding seems to have stopped (none for 24 hours anyway) and cramping pains not so bad as they were. I'm pretty sure it was because I took it a bit easier today so thanks to everyone for your advice and support.

mamarara so pleased your scan went well, that is really fab news!! Well done for waiting all day for it as well!

Nothing major in my update today, trying to not knicker check every 5 mins at mo!

I had some cramps last night but i think they were down to constipation {sorry if TMI} although I think I may have been a bit to vigorous in my methods of reducing it!

Trying to stay positive and resisting urge to scan till next week so I will have a pic to bring home to tell DM and family. fx I have discovered that 1 of my collegues is due a week before me. She is so happy and seems blissfully unaware of things that could go wrong I am slightly of her state of mind.

Thanks Freezing, I definitely spoke too soon as bleeding and cramps returned last night and still going strong today. V nerve-racking. You'll be pleased to know i've just had a power nap on the sofa though so am obeying instructions!

purpletoes was interested to hear about your cramps, I think there is definitely a link between bowels and cramps as for me they definitely get worse if I need the loo but it's so hard to work out what's going on down there. Sigh. The glamour of it all....

Just wanted to say hello all I'm on my phone as computer is broken
just to add to the cramp talk I've been getting loads over the pasat week or so and I'm terrified, I don't think I have even the slightest bump, I'm feeling very un pregnant and have got 8 days til my scan, I've tried to feel for the top of my womb but caant find anything, let the mentalling begin!
On a brighter note SIL had a baby on sunday and she is beautiful

willitbe your post made me cry. My mc was only a few weeks ago so know very well how you must be feeling. I think instincts can be very telling. I really hope the news is good on Monday but if it isn't my thoughts are with you and your family. Hope you're getting lots of love and support from your friends and family in RL.
