Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage and too nervous to move over the to pregnancy boards? Freaking out about spotting, cramping, symptoms (or lack there of) and nervously awaiting your first scan? Here is a lovely place for lot's of support, hand holding and problem sharing.

Courtesy of owlbooty here are the Ten Commandments of the Freak Out Room.

1. Thou shalt check thy knickers to the point of insanity until the baby actually arrives.
2. Thou shalt also check the loo roll post-wipeage (sorry, gross, I know)
3. Thou shalt bore thy physician and midwife to tears with the mentalling.
4. And thy husband/boyfriend/family/neighbour's cat.
5. Thou shalt obsess over the absence of symptoms.
6. And the presence of symptoms.
7. And the fluctuation of symptoms.
8. Thou shalt pee on a vast number of sticks and keep ClearBlue and First Response in business.
9. The day before any scan extreme mentalling is permitted without recourse to the Haddock.

10. Self-diagnosis with Dr Google is Forbidden.

The Haddock will be applied liberally to all transgressors.

Oh boo sorry somehow missed your post willitbe - I really hope everything is ok and scan shows good news. Sounds like you have been through such an awful time over the last few years. As collie says you deserve happiness x

Sorry to be annoying but I am still stressing out - I'm having loads of bleeding and nasty cramps. They're not unbearable but really uncomfortable and so scary. I keep thinking it's ok then everything starts up again. EPU did say that I would probably have more bleeding - I have something called a haematoma below the placenta which is basically a pool of blood which she could still see on the scan. It's just so horrible to be losing so much blood - it feels very wrong (although no clots) and the cramping is not helping.... I stupidly rushed to nursery with ds (it is so hot here today) then went to supermarket, got loads of heavy shopping then carried it home, which was awful (and idiotic of me). Sorry for the long moan, somebody haddock me please!!!!!!

Here is why you should not worry:

1. bleeding in pg, although scary, can be ok and lots of ladies on here have had it- much more than i'd have thought. And they've Bern fine!
2. You have had a GOOD scan and seen both little beans!
3. you have been given a reason for the bleeding and told to expect it, but that you shouldn't worry.

I can only imagine how worrying all the bleeding and clotting is but please take reassurace in the fact that you have been seen and there seems no reason to worry. Did they say what to do if the bleeding continued? Maybe if you're still bleeding in a couple of days, go back.

this is for running around in the heat with heavy shopping after such a stressful morning!

Now, FEET UP! That's an order!!!

Ps if you want sone reassurace from someone who had lots of early bleeding pop onto the grads thread and ask tunnocks she had lots and lots of very scary bleeds but is a healthy 24 wks now!

lady I had that on Thursday, I went to the loo on Thursday night and some blood came like a period. I telephoned the MW the next day and she arranged me to go to the EPAU, I had a scan which revealed all was well, and the sonographer could see some blood behind the sac called a haematoma, the MW at the EPAU said that I might get some light bleeding as a result of this during the pregnancy and that it is old blood and not to worry. I have stopped bleeding, only bled once. Can you go for a scan at the EPAU? Thinking of you

Good evening, fellow knicker checkers

Good day today, went to tell the doc I'm pregnant - was nervous as have moved surgery from the doc I have had all my life - she was lovely, listened to my worries and said I can call / go back anytime if I'm worried, said I should hear from the midwife before the time I would like a scan, so now just gotta hope everything goes ok

Sorry for all those who are having worrying symptoms, I hope everything works out for you and you get some peace soon x

Knicker checkers of the world unite... I'm still doing it :)

I haven't been on for a little bit as I've been mentalling like a goodun, but wanted to say hurrah for the excellent scan news that is coming through.

ladybird and Piglet big hugs to you both. Having a bleed is a scary business and I'm delighted that all is Ok (I am also a recurrent bleeder - what joy it brings :) )

Willitbe even bigger hugs for you. As some of the other ladies have said, please stay.

I've been having browny pink discharge for a couple of days and have been reassured by the MW that all is OK. However, I seem to be having a mega mentalling session (now in day 3 with added nightmare fun) not helped by the 20wk scan coming up on Monday. I'm finding it a real struggle which I know some of you have experienced as well. I put my toe in the water on the grads board (everyone is lovely over there as well) but have had to go back to lurking while I gently go a bit mad pre-scan. I think none of this is helped by the fact that I can't really exercise properly or do the deed at the moment so all that pent up energy is being helpfully ploughed into mentalling :)

Morning all, am going to haddock myself today as had awful night of mentalling with hardly any sleep. Ended up getting up at 2am and reading my book for a bit. Decided around 4am that the cramps I was having maybe related to something I had eaten.... Anyway, the bleeding seems to have stopped (fingers crossed) and the cramps are just dull and continuous - am really hoping they are just stretching pains...

piglet thanks for letting me know you had the same thing - it's horrible isn't it. I think we are almost exactly the same dates - I am 11+2 today....

bicmac our posts crossed, I'm sorry you are feeling so worried at the mo. Completely understand about all the mentalling regarding discharge - you have to trust the midwife on this one. Can you channel your energy into anything productive which keeps your mind occupied, or do something to relax you - a massage? For now, here is a mini-haddock and a big (hug).

Hi lady when I went fir my check up scan last week they said I was 11 so now I'm 12 duh I calculated wrong. Guess what, was in the park today with dd and felt some wetness, thought it might be blood, so checked coast was clear and nearly knicker checked in the park . It took a lot of willpower to stop myself

Mamarara how did your scan go?

Collie hope todays scan goes/went well.

Ladybird pleased your bleeding has stopped, fx it stays away now.

Scan went well yesterday, couldn't get online last night so first chance to update today. I'm 2 days behind where I though according to dates, which is better than from the first scan where I was 6 days behind. Saw little arms and legs waving. Nuchal measurement I'm told was within normal range, and will find out on thurs if the bloods come back high risk. Its actually starting to feel real now, in a way that it hasn't so far.

lol piglet I have public knicker checked before ha ha I just have to check if I feel any wetness!!
I swear I wasn't this much of a mentaller before I started TTC

Just quick post whilst in waiting room for mw. Scan went well. All seems fine, so huge relief! Was lovely to see it's big heart beating abd it jiggling around again!!!!

And, we're team...............blue!!!!!! Would you believe it!!!! So thrilled, can't wipe the grin off my face! Is this really going to happen?! I'm starting to think so...!
