Who's in?

OP posts:
HidingInTheUndergrowth · 21/06/2011 21:27

Talking of eating I was looking at a list of things you're not supposed to eat when you are updiffed and I'm not sure how you don't starve!

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 21/06/2011 21:30

Wow Dru77 you are officially a cat lady Grin

I have 2 pet rats, do you think it works with them, i saw somewhere they can smell TB so surely they can do babies? Or shall I just stick with smacking them (in the nicest possible way of course, no animal cruelty here).

LoveInAColdClimate · 21/06/2011 21:38

Oooh, I want to get kittens (although DH doesn't) but I keep putting it off thinking I'll wait until our imaginary children are old enough to play sensibly with them rather than pulling their tails. But the idea of being able to add another string to my symptom spotting bow is very alluring...

havealittlefaithbaby · 21/06/2011 22:42

Would my hamster know?!

jaggythistle · 21/06/2011 22:53

darn, i don't have a pet. not even fish these days.

maybe all the spiders that have just appeared in my house in the last week are interested in hcg?

realised tingly boobs were probably because it was round about DS's bedtime and they wondered why he wasn't having a bf. Blush he was off the bedtime one till more teething struck.

still pg too of course, no doubt. you should see how many symptoms i have added to FF tonight...

SleepyFergus · 21/06/2011 23:27

Lots been going on. Haven't seen any red squirrels but have had a couple dead grey ones in the houses courtesy of one of my cats. One was stiff as a board, stuck in 'flying' position. God knows how his final moments panned out. I have 2 cats, both bleedin' incompetent at sniffing out HCG aroma btw

Zita West vits - I used to shell out for them. They were prob very good but bit pricey I seem to remember. Came in nice minimalist glass jars though, no pictures of smiling woman stroking pregnant belly type thing.

jaggythistle · 22/06/2011 05:59

mornin all.

my temp is up another minuscule 0.0something so i am obviously even more pg today. also have woken up hungry and needing a wee, so must be really pg now.

how's things today?

havealittlefaithbaby · 22/06/2011 07:29

Oh you're clearly pg jaggy! I am struggling to wake up in the morning and feeling very grumpy. Clearly going to get a bfp this month!

pommedechocolat · 22/06/2011 08:00

I was really really stroppy with DH last night! Very irritable and annoying. Obviously pregnant.

Jebel · 22/06/2011 10:48

Hello my lovely bloomers. Been catching up on the freds and chuckling.

Which is jolly good as am hungover AND being audited. Not a recommended combination. [my no benders rule will come into force only after swi has taken place and not before]. Forgot to take that damn clomid pill last night as well. I am a car crash.

anyway, am just passing time waiting until I can start swi again and definitely be pg with all of you. First purchase on arrival in the UK will be a zillion opks.

LoveInAColdClimate · 22/06/2011 10:51

I am so pregnant that I am suffering from morning sickness even before ovulation. I am feeling really grim and am actually so ill I am working from home and was off sick yesterday. Clearly not a bug but my very precocious baby. Everyone else sounds similarly updiffed. All this hungry grumpiness going around sounds a dead cert.

Oooh, Fergus - quite like the sound of chic glass jars of Zita West pills. However, I have another couple of packs of much less glam Boots conception vitamins to get through first, although obviously I won't need most of them as I'll get my BFP this month. I assume I could probably use the rest as pregnancy vitamins, though? Surely they are basically the same?

maybebabyR · 22/06/2011 11:09

love I have been thinking the same thing. Am on my last box of pregnacare conception (buy 2 get one free in boots). Now obviously, there is no need to but any more when this lot runs out, as will be with child. Though say I do have to purchase more, do I buy one conception and 2 actual pregnancy ones? Ah the dilema.

BlooferLady · 22/06/2011 11:18

My period is starting.

Is it all right if I give the optimism a miss, just for 24 hours? I disgraced myself by sitting on the bus this morning weeping silently beneath my £10 Accessorize sunglasses. 18 months of this is awfully sad-making really.

I promise I will be BROOKING NO NONSENSE by this time tomorrow.

pommedechocolat · 22/06/2011 11:23

Aww bloofer dude. Of course you can have a 24 hour let off pass.

It is indeed very sad and emotionally straining and a cry on the bus and a bit of a wallow is definitely needed. Instruct your dh to be romantic and lovely to you tonight.

Report back for duty when you are ready.

LoveInAColdClimate · 22/06/2011 11:39

Oh, Bloofer, I really am so sorry. It sucks, doesn't it? The cycle before last I did proper, sobbing crying the whole walk across town from the carpark to the office when I got my period, thinking I would be able to fix my make up and do a bit of cold water splashing when I got to the office. I then ended up having to share the lift in the office with one of the partners before I could do said fixing. Lovely. Tonight you should do Wine and some rubbish telly/indulgent reading (old Jilly Cooper (or Nancy Mitford, natch) always does wonders for me). Then tomorrow, you can view it as a whole shiny new cycle for you to play with, which will undoubtedly end in updiffedness. I am really sorry.

maybe - I did have a look at the labels when I was buying the last lot and pregnancy and conception vitamins seem really, really similar - there was some small difference which I can't remember now but I'm sure you could really take either for either, IKSWIM.

Ariesgirl · 22/06/2011 11:50

My poor lovely Bloofer. I am weeping for you too There's nothing more to be said except when it does happen you and MrBloof will be the most wonderful parents and BabyBloof will be a remarkable baby. That's no consolation now, but it will happen one day, somehow.

maybebabyR · 22/06/2011 12:24

Bloofer I am so sorry. I cannot say anymore other than second exactly what Pomme, Love and Aries have said. Next month will be the month. I feel it in my waters (not of the amniotic variety)

Jebel · 22/06/2011 12:32

So sorry bloofs. A practice run with me. No optimism necessary today but we will get pregnant next month as of tomorrow.

BlooferLady · 22/06/2011 12:53

Thank you so much for being so understanding, and so kind. I think it was worse this month because DH (normally very very stoic on such matters) got very sad because 'twas Father's Day, and a father he is not. I can bear being sad myself, but seeing the dearest, sweetest, best man alive getting a bit blinky because I have a torn Tesco carrier bag for a womb was just a bit much.

However what a great way of looking at it - I shall view this as a nice shiny new cycle and roll up my sleeves and Get On It (once I have got the next couple of days outta the way, since I always manage to convince myself it could be an implantation bleed Confused for the first day or so!).

Onward, fellow Rat-Smackers! May those rodent bastids be splatted to hell and back

LoveInAColdClimate · 22/06/2011 12:56

Bloofer - your last post made my heart twist in a way that I realise is quite unnecessary given that we will all be pregnant by this time next month.

Onwards and upwards - this is our month.

jaggythistle · 22/06/2011 13:00

sorry bloofer. :(

i got annoyed with DH this morning for letting DS eat some more of my cereal, especially because he also spilled some of it between the box and the bag to go all soft.

surely only pg could explain such irritable behaviour?

off to work in a mo, hope you don't mind if i come back later when I'm bored and lacking motivation. i am such a mn addict.

BlooferLady · 22/06/2011 13:06

oh Love. Am blinking again now! And you're right by the way - I rather think I shall treat myself to some Mitfordness this evening. She alleviates all ill.

jaggy - SO upduffed. That is all.

allhailtheaubergine · 22/06/2011 13:10

A bit of practice to pass the time

Grin

You're GREAT you lot

LoveInAColdClimate · 22/06/2011 13:36

Oooooh, after a bit of practice I scored 10/10 on Auber's game and one of the words was "chart". Symbolic? I think so.

I love this thread. Am blinking a bit at how great it is and how lovely all you fellow Rat Smackers are.
