Congrats farfalla Smile

aubergine you have the patience of a saint

I got a faint BFP last night. Though this morning I am spotting. No cramps, but still. Think I am out for this month. Onwards and upwards though Smile

Jebel · 20/06/2011 10:53

Waaahoo congrats farfalla and maybe maybe?? Hope no more spotting and the BFP gets stronger.

sleepy thanks for AC recommendation. I am on so many drugs it is hilarious and a little scary. I live in country of designer babies so I have to push back on meds - you are 35, you want baby, we make baby for you - as I have not got anything definitely wrong (except a funny shaped uterus). I'm on Clomid (starting 2nd cycle), an injection in the bum and then progesterone supplements. Giving the injection a miss this month as travelling. She didn't think I needed the progesterone supplements last month as uterus lining was thick. Injection is also supposed to force 14 days post ovulation. I have decided to go with this for 6 months and then have a holiday from it and reassess.

aubergine cooooo-eyyyyy.....

maybebabyR · 20/06/2011 11:06

Thanks jebel though I fear the cramping is beginning. Oh well. It would have been awkward having a leap year baby Smile You must positively rattle when you walk!!

allhailtheaubergine · 20/06/2011 11:17

I cracked. I couldn't wait any longer.

My rat; she is smacked.

eurochick · 20/06/2011 11:53

Gosh. It seems like unbridled optimism might have to be the way forward.

Congrats to all those with BFPs!

Jebel · 20/06/2011 12:41

Wow! It works, it works. You talked yourself up the duff. I can see books, a film, a whole range of maternity wear for convinced-they-are-up-the-duff-but-not-actually-confirmed people. Hurrah!

SleepyFergus · 20/06/2011 12:52

Wowee! Congrats! Ta ta rat!!

Ariesgirl · 20/06/2011 12:59

Aubers!!!! Bloody hell! Marvellous news.

I have never known a thread like it. And you started it! I'm hoping it will work for everyone, EVERYONE!!!!

SleepyFergus · 20/06/2011 13:00

Jebel - i symphasise. I did 14 cycles of clomid, so know all the stresses it brings .... Mood swings, weight gain, spotty face etc. One thing I will say is try taking a wee bit of Evening Primrose Oil from AF to Ov. That will help promote the right kind of cm as clomid can dry you up (lovely, non) and you need cm for the swimmers to make their fateful journey to your ripe egg.

I ended up doing Ov induction - self injecting low levels of IVF drugs. I was fanny cammed every 2-3 days to check progress of tbe follicles and when o e was big enough, given a shot if HCG to for e ovulation. Fairly intense but it worked 2nd time for me. That's me used up my wedge of NHS funding, hence taking AF and trying to do it that way.

Anyhoo, just wanted to share. Good luck on the clomid

Congrats again to our upduffers, wonderful news!

BlooferLady · 20/06/2011 14:42

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Amazeballs! Oh Aubers I am so chuffed for you - and all the upduffers!

Truly this is a blessed thread

Jebel · 20/06/2011 14:54

thanks sleepy will definitely take evening primrose. I get fanny cammed too and my follicles seem to be a good size each month then I get the HCG jab but am not convinced that the cm is sufficient. I usually get lots about 2 days before I ov and by the time I ov has dried up. Will try evening primrose and preseed this month.

A friend of mine is about to start on those drugs, sounds full on!! Thanks so much for all the info.

Am full of hope and positivity from all the positive upduffed ones. Plus one of the ladies who works for me has just got a BFP after five years. So something is maybe in the air...

BlooferLady · 20/06/2011 14:58

Wow Jebel - a BFP after 5 years is amazing :)

schobe · 20/06/2011 16:28

Shock Shock Shock

Congrats aubers. I actually welled up.

allhailtheaubergine · 20/06/2011 17:03
Blush

Thanks chaps.

I think I was far more stridently convinced of my undoubtable duffedness before the bfp than I am now.

I haven't told dh yet.

OP posts:
SleepyFergus · 20/06/2011 17:04

How do you think you're going to tell DH?

schobe · 20/06/2011 17:07

D'ya feel sicky yet? Ooh it's exciting.

Keep us posted, you're our pin-up girl now. I now know I simply wasn't FIRM enough in standing no nonsense.

My loins are girded for this month.

schobe · 20/06/2011 17:08

yy need imaginative ideas for breaking news to unsuspecting partners.

I vote for not telling him at all and see at what point he notices, if at all.
