Who's in?

OP posts:
Jebel · 19/06/2011 19:30

Thanks all but am happier than I was when I got AF as getting PG is half the battle, creating a nice little comfortable spot is the other half and that needs some improvement but I think I can work on it. Learnings for this month: (1) no spontaneous benders of any sort; (2) no food poisoning; (3) no flu; (4) idle hours spent on MN in positive pg affirmations when should be working definitely help.

CD2 am I pregnant yet?

aubergine am waiting to hear your positive news, this thread is yours so surely you deserve it

BlooferLady · 19/06/2011 19:35

Jebel I completely understand your equivocal feelings about it - I have been guilty of wishing that I'd at least had a BFP, even if it didn't come to anything, just so I knew that something was happening, IYSWIM. 18 months without even a line is a bit spooky!

ALL LUCK for this cycle, and I might shamelessly copy your 4 edicts for success

SleepyFergus · 19/06/2011 20:36

Jebel - I can totally appreciate what you are saying. When we were ttc no 1, I got pregnant but it ended in a mmc at 10 weeks. Devastated yes, but Underneath it all you know it an happen and that can be if some comfort. Onwards and upwards for this month

Btw, I don't know if you said ina previous post (and apols if I'm being nosey - tell me to bog off if so) but what mess are you on for your lutuel phase? I'm taking Agnus Castus at the mo, to help me ovulate as my prob is my cycles can vary from anything from 35 days to 6 mths. The AC is keeping them at about 35 days approx so far......I digress, what I wanted to say is I've read that AC is also good for lengthening the LP?

Just a thought, you're maybe already doing it or tried it or can't if you're on other meds

SleepyFergus · 19/06/2011 20:37

Sorry, sorry. Typing this on iPhone and auto-correct is a biatch!

Mess = meds

Hope the rest of my message made rough sense!

BlooferLady · 19/06/2011 20:56

Just nosily saying thanks Sleepy - I have a problem with a short luteal phase and I didn't know something like AC could help. Obviously I'm pregnant this month so it's all academic, but next month I will be in a better posish to focus on stuff like supplements and whatnot...

Anyway, glad the AC is helping regulate your cycles: must be very, very frustrating to be so unpredictable...

maybebabyR · 19/06/2011 21:09

So sorry to hear that jebel I had a CP in March, and a MC at Christmas, so know what you mean about the 'knowing you can do it' bit. Just see it as a practice run Smile

Are you POAS tomorrow aubergine Even though the answer is obvious....

pommedechocolat · 19/06/2011 21:16

I have camps at 3dpo and have googled it and been on some VERY odd forums (who are these women that talk like this?! where do they come from?).
I have discovered that I have some hairs at the end of my fallopian tubes which is grabbing the egg and that I maybe more likely to feel these 'grabs' if egg is fertilised.
I am scared of my hairy fallopian tubes now - is one supposed to thread like an upper lip or wax like a bikini line?

maybebabyR · 19/06/2011 21:22

Hahaha pomme, that made me chuckle! Your fallopians sound positively European Smile

And you are correct. There are some CRAZY ladies out there....

havealittlefaithbaby · 19/06/2011 21:34

Yes DH asked me why Mumsnet not baby and bump or any other? I explained I'm not a baby duster with a fairy wand. All the pics and stats wig me out too. I prefer the anonymity of Mumsnet.
Right I'm clearly preggers already. Had cravings for chocolate ice cream. So what if I'm only cd2?!

SleepyFergus · 19/06/2011 21:44

Pomme - it's these same women I warrant that stick their fingers up their fru-fru and check their cm on a daily basis. I still can't quite bring myself to rub it between my fingers and assess it. I once read that if you drop some cm in a glass of water if it floats then it's fertile, and if it sinks then your not....or vice versa. Hmmmm!

Bloof - AC is aka 'natures clomid' so defo worth a try. Holland and Barrett sell it and it's usually on offer. Big feckers though, look like grass cuttings in capsule form but hey ho! But you'll be heading straight for the Pregnacare so no matter to you...

Glass of water anyone? Wink

BlooferLady · 19/06/2011 21:50

I have never rummaged about to assess cervical gloop, oh dear me no. Nor fashioned lavatory paper into a rudimentary dip-stick to assess onset of the Red Tide of Doom, heavens nope. Waaaaaaaaay to cool

Ariesgirl · 19/06/2011 21:59

AC capsules look like horse suppositories. FACT.

I think you have to take them for three months to notice any difference Bloof so start earlier rather than later I reckon. Vitamin B6 is supposed to help lengthn your luteal phase, and B12 helps the body absorb it apparently. So get yourself a nice jar of 50-100mg of a B vitamin complex which includes folic acid. The fact that it turns your wee radioactive yellow is an interesting side effect. I always leave it in the loo for the next person to get alarmed about. TMI?

mememummy · 19/06/2011 22:49

allhailtheaubergine · 20/06/2011 05:29

Mmmmm horse suppositories and cervical gloop. It's a glam old business, this ttc lark.

I have decided that if still not AF I shall poas first thing tomorrow.

I am so happy in my Definitely Pregnant bubble that I am scared to risk popping it with a wee stick.

OP posts:
allhailtheaubergine · 20/06/2011 05:30

Meme I would say that going to Mothercare is a symptom.

OP posts:
BlooferLady · 20/06/2011 07:01

Good morning preg-heads: how are we all today?

allhailtheaubergine · 20/06/2011 07:15

What? WHAT?????

OP posts:
BlooferLady · 20/06/2011 07:22

Nothing mate, nothing

allhailtheaubergine · 20/06/2011 07:30

I've just been reading through the thread again and have laughed out loud at Eurochick's ...

"I think the food poisoning meant whatever swimmers he expelled were doggy-paddling weakly around in circles rather than front-crawling speedily to victory."

Grin
OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 20/06/2011 07:36

maybe 'front crawling speedily to victory' can be the new thread motto?

SleepyFergus · 20/06/2011 07:55

Am I late? Did I miss anything? Was busy ordering Mama Mio stretch mark cream and a tens machine for a certain someone

SleepyFergus · 20/06/2011 08:04

On a slightly different note, I feel like shite today. Shivery, body aches, feel sick...
In a heroic bid to appear the biggest martyr ever, I'm crawling into work instead of crawling back into bed. Will I never learn?!

Were it not for the fact that it's only cd11 today and the shag dictator very firmly shouted 'INFERTILE' at me this morning, I would of course be preggo. And with triplets no doubt given my symptoms. Obv my body preparing me for the weeks ahead.

If I keel over at work today, or throw up, everyone will assume I AM preggers, which might be quite funny given 3 peeps are already about to go off or are already on maternity leave. That would put the shitters up them!

farfallarocks · 20/06/2011 08:37

Morning gals, well I through caution to the wind this weeknd and ate nothing but raw meat, sushi and my body weight in wine.
I've only bloody gone and got a BFP this morning :)

BlooferLady · 20/06/2011 08:48

W00t W00t! Another fred BFP - well done Farfalla!

havealittlefaithbaby · 20/06/2011 08:53

Excellent work farfalla, positive thinking with irony thrown in.
Ah yes bloofer, I know what you mean, but who else is ready to rest?
My personal fave quote has to be 'getting pregnant is like playing smack the rat'!
