Who's in?

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 16/06/2011 22:51

You poor sausage Pomme. Why must it be so complicated? I'm so sorry :(

pommedechocolat · 16/06/2011 22:53

Cheers bloofer. Bit of a minefield this ttc business hey. You are right, no point writing off tomorrow, gotta stay positive and all that jazz.

eurochick · 16/06/2011 22:55

pdc, one month my hubby was struck down with the food poisoning at the crucial time. We did manage the deed to completion (at the second attempt) but it's the only month I know we've timed it right that I have had no 2ww symptoms so I think the food poisoning meant whatever swimmers he expelled were doggy-paddling weakly around in circles rather than front-crawling speedily to victory. So I think it was a lost cause anyway!

pommedechocolat · 16/06/2011 23:02

Ahh, that is a good point. Probably wouldn't even have found the cervix.
Think I might give up opks though. Knowing the right days for sure seems to make things even more complicated.

LoveInAColdClimate · 16/06/2011 23:11

Oh, pomme, I'm sorry. But yes, try again tomorrow, you never know. Aubers - I have also just got back from a painful night. I was being touted about as a WAG. There were name badges involved. The Men's had their companies and job titles. Mine just had my name. I do actually have a frigging career, you know, name badge creators. It does not make up for not having a baby. Sorry, am a little drunk. But still, does not seem fair.

Night, all. Sorry for drunk ramblings.

farfallarocks · 17/06/2011 00:01

Sounds like crap nights out all round then. Just got back from a work night out where I was asked 3 TIMES whether I was plannng on getting up the spout soon. I mean seriously! I shoud sue for sexual harassment ,like.

Seriously girls, you are all so hilarious, witty and articulate, mother nature would be INSANE not to pass on your wonderful genes.

Ah yes, March babies, a nice Piscean, perfectly timed for a summer matenity leave :)

farfallarocks · 17/06/2011 00:02

sorry for all the typos, tis clearly sign of baby brain

allhailtheaubergine · 17/06/2011 04:20

Oh Pomme. We've been there. Often.

It IS dispiriting. I think it is such familiar territory for us now that we have learned to laugh it off. I DO secretly despair about having missed the window, but I genuinely don't angst about the shit sex.

It is hard though (ho ho, pun not intended).

havealittlefaithbaby · 17/06/2011 06:29

My sympathies pomme had a similar issue ourselves this cycle but more cos DH had consumed too much beer!!
I still have high temps so am clearly upduffed. Tired of the lying pee sticks, will do one tomorrow when it will be irrefutable!
Re work colleagues asking, I get it two ways: some 'isn't it your turn?" (Honestly they have no idea, I'm nearly 30, been married nearly 3 years, Nah let's not bother yet) and one colleague telling me to "cross my legs, it's convenient to the service". Cracked last week and informed her actually been ignoring that for 9 months and ttc for 18 and you can't stop me!! Shock.

BlooferLady · 17/06/2011 08:44

Urgh, what a rotten rotten night all round. Was it something to do with the lunar eclipse?

Am horrified by the colleagues asking about baby-intentions. Jeez, get with the 2011 programme, numb-nuts. I think I've got away relatively lightly on that front, though I did have to put my foot down about getting decent maternity terms.

Have you tested again yet have? You know, with a piss-stick that might tell the troofs?

Roughly 6DPO this end. No symptoms yet except acne, so clearly duffled. Clearly.

havealittlefaithbaby · 17/06/2011 08:48

Nope saving it til morning. Puked my breakfast up just now (tmi?). Clearly, clearly upduffed. Reckon I'm not 19dpo as originally thought but 15 dpo. Either way this is equal to my longest luteal phase but I've always had a temp.drop by now. May buy boots pee stick for morning don't trust crappy internet cheapo rough and readies!

BlooferLady · 17/06/2011 08:55

You threw up?! Well. There you go, then! Grin

pommedechocolat · 17/06/2011 08:57

Oo loving the thread motto. Do we need a coat of arms as well?
Slightly better news this am - another humiliating experience did lead to sparring action. Hurrah! Better get upduffed this month or I will be wrathful during af!

pommedechocolat · 17/06/2011 08:58

Vomiting?! Actual vomiting? Great news have!

pommedechocolat · 17/06/2011 08:58

Sparring was meant to be spaffing bloody iPhone.

BlooferLady · 17/06/2011 09:06

I was just about to ask how a little light boxing practice was going to get you duffled, pdc Grin

maybebabyR · 17/06/2011 09:32

Hurrah for vomit have definitely up the duff. Keep peeing on those sticks till they turn positive!

Lots of tough nights last night, hope everyone is in higher spirits this morning.

3 hours in the gym was sadly spent just gymming. CV and Pilates. After all, exercise is going to make labour a doddle. Or so I am told.

Have a hen do tonight. Am debating the drinking aspect. Don't want to pickle anything now Smile

BlooferLady · 17/06/2011 10:25

I can report that I have odd abdominal flutterings.

Is this mere wind and such strange twangings as I have suffered for the last 20 years, being the proud possessor of A Perpetually Dicky Tummy?

Or is it the miracle of new life?

I think we all know the answer to that one.

maybe It's the 50th birthday of one of best pals tomorrow. He will disown me if I don't drink myself into a stupor. But I am more worried about losing the whole of Sunday to a hangover and not managing to study than about any potential burrowing bean [skewed priorities emoticon]

schobe · 17/06/2011 11:04

Pomme I really do sympathise, it's awful.

You need to take the ov predictors with a pinch of salt though and try again today if poss.

On the bright side, I managed to put DH off last night by excessive nose-blowing and being quite full of cold. However I feel he will not be deterred tonight so will try to get in the mood. It's CD8 for me so I should be getting cracking really I spose.

I probably need to have twins aksherlly this time as I have both boys and girls clothes up in the loft gathering dust and am no spring chicken.

Are there any exercises I should be doing to bring on double ovulation?

thelittlefriend · 17/06/2011 13:23

Oh have you really really sound very pregnant!

pomme I hope your dh is back in action today. Worth another go definitely

I'm sat twiddling my thumbs as CD4. Off on holiday tomorrow though, where we will conceive our baby.

pommedechocolat · 17/06/2011 13:37

Thanks thelittlefriend. Will certainly be attempting to seduce tonight I think. Schobe - loving the idea of the ovulation squat move!

eurochick · 17/06/2011 13:44

have my boss keeps asking if I am up the duff if I have a stomach upset/eat something strange/do anything else that could be pregnancy related. It's v annoying.

My response is to look wounded, cradle my belly lovingly and shout IT'S A CAKE BABY at her. I hope if I do it often enough she will stop asking when it really is duffage (which will be happening imminently, of course).

BlooferLady · 17/06/2011 14:07

Just met up with one of my best pals - she's just got a BFP. By the time the OM and I had been TTCing for 6 months she hadn't even met her fella . Oh and they 'weren't even trying.'

It's a good job I'm obviously diffed this month or I would be wailing about it not being fair and what's wrong with me etc. etc.

havealittlefaithbaby · 17/06/2011 16:59

How rude of her bloofer doesn't she know it's your turn next?! Pah, those 'not even trying yokes'. Can't stand 'em.

havealittlefaithbaby · 17/06/2011 17:09

Ooh btw I just got my eyebrows waxed. It should be agony at pre-af but it hardly hurt. I am so upduffed!
