Why thank you Lintilla. Too kind

Enjoying this thread immensely and sorry to hear of the problems others are having. Over the last six months cycle has varied from 14 - 37 days. My iPhone claims AF was due yesterday on day 25, but obviously that hasn't happened.

I have trans vag scan booked for Monday, and my sister's birthday piss up party is on Saturday. I have also been laid low with a bad back and been taking prescription painkillers, and have not abstained from alcohol this month. Timing couldn't be worse really ... Oh, and I burst into tears a few times on Sunday when DP shouted at me and had to give up my seat on the train the other day because the man next to me was too smelly.

I am clearly pregnant, but is it too early to seek confirmation from a stick?

LoveInAColdClimate · 08/06/2011 18:03

WelshRabbit - well, in the spirit of the thread, as you are so clearly updiffed there seems almost no point in testing. However, just in case, do you have any idea when you ovulated? Day 25 for me this month would only have been 5DPO but if you ovulated on say, day 13 would definitely be worth POAS. Have you got any internet cheapies so even if it's too early to tell you're at least not weeing on a fiver?

I am starting to feel distinctly PMT-ish which is a double pain in that (a) would mean that, against all probability, I was not pregnant and that (b) all the vitamin B6 I have been necking has done sod all for my luteal phase defect as am only on CD 8. I nearly shouted at my secretary earlier for putting files in my cupboard too loudly... I never shout at anyone normally and especially not someone who can't shout back Blush. On the plus side, I managed to save the situation by making up a really, really crap excuse as to why I had stormed over, so now she probably think I have gone mad. Excellent.

WelshRabbit · 08/06/2011 19:02

Not sure exactly about ovulation, have been trying to sneak up on pregnancy so not using ovulation sticks yet. I have one test in the house - might save it til tomorrow, just to have confirmation before the weekend.

Shouting at secretary sounds v hormonal and updiffed - keep it up!

havealittlefaithbaby · 08/06/2011 19:30

My boobies are very tender and I'm extremely emotional. Given the results of DH's sperm tests realistically there's no chance I'm upduffed. My job is in.jeopardy due to funding (ends in September) so getting pg this month would mean I'd have to announce my pregnancy just as I'm interviewed for another temporary post. So timing would be ironic. And yet it couldn't be worse!

LoveInAColdClimate · 09/06/2011 08:52

Morning fellow pregnant ladies. How is everyone today?

I snapped and POAS this morning - it was ALL Fertility Friend's fault for telling me that 14.8% of positive tests are reported by 9DPO. BFN but only 9DPO so you never know. My temperature went right up this morning but TBH it's done that a few times before only to plummet again a few days later and bring AF with it. I think I need to stop entering symptoms in FF and just stick to temp, cervical fluid, cervical position, OPKs, sexing etc. Every month I get all excited becuase 29% of preggos reported tender breasts at 8DPO or whatever and so my tender breasts clearly mean am up the stick, despite the fact that on 100% of my previous charts tender boobs at 8DPO have meant I am about to get AF.

LoveInAColdClimate · 09/06/2011 09:14

PS - Am having a small meltdown - please reassure me. Have actually been drinking quite a bit up until 8DPO... few boozy nights out, a day at the races with lots of drinks, a few nights at home sharing a bottle of wine with DH... if I am up the stick, surely it wouldn't have been sharing my blood supply or anything at this stage? Have I wrecked my baby ? Or is all fine? Having a small series of kittens this morning over this.

BlooferLady · 09/06/2011 09:22

I'm in Essex studying consequently neither smacking the rat nor MNing much, but i have got time to slap, in a fond sort of way, Love. Come here dear, and bend over. No you haven't. Don't be a silly sausage. If only you knew how many of my pals got wankered and smoked themselves deaf mostly in my company a mere 48 hours before getting a BPF, and finally delivering bouncing bundles of bonny good health. Now calm down or I'll properly spank you

maybebabyR · 09/06/2011 10:42

Ah, love I am totally agreeing with bloofer def nothing to worry about. Won't be sharing your blood supply for a good bit yet!

And bloofer, I too am in Essex, but so far I have found it does nothing for inspiration. Let me know if it does for you!

I too am feeling a tad emotional. And my bazookas are huge today. Even I can't stop staring at them!

herethereandeverywhere · 09/06/2011 11:49

Morning all! I'm here to state I'm resolutely remaining pregnant despite feeling very crampy which is obviously af letting me know she's on her way as usual definite signs of my unborn child implanting firmly into my uterine lining.

Onwards and upwards chapesses. Think I might plan the baby shower this arvo.

pommedechocolat · 09/06/2011 12:15

GP told me this morning to relax. She said if we decided to stop trying but carried on having unprotected sex we'd fall pregnant. WTF does that mean? How does one achieve this state of mind?

maybebabyR · 09/06/2011 12:34

Haha pomme I have no idea. But if you manage to figure it out, will you let me know?!

herethereandeverywhere · 09/06/2011 12:36

Hmmm Pomme. Did you ask your GP for empirical evidence that that would work? I rather suspect her school of science is similar to ours on this thread! Does that really pass for medical advice these days Hmm?

Anyhooo, if you're on this thread you're clearly already pregnant so her hocus pocus quack esteemed medical advice will be superfluous anyway. Wink

pommedechocolat · 09/06/2011 12:43

I am not pregnant yet as only cd6 but have a magic golden egg to release this month that will live for a whole two weeks and then implant itself on approx day 22 of my cycle.
So as good as pregnant and in fact as good as not trying because it is without a doubt going to be fertilised so no need to try - just lie back and enjoy :)

LoveInAColdClimate · 09/06/2011 12:49

Thanks, Bloofer and Maybe - I am much reassured. I hope you are both enjoying Essex. Maybe - you should take your giant pregnant boobs to The Sugar Hut (is that what the club in The Only Way is Essex is called?) - you would fir right in Grin.

Here - cramps seem like a good sign - not that I'm obsessed or anything, by FF says that 20.6% of pregnant charts show cramps on 9DPO...

Pomme - cannot believe your GP said that - she is clearly one of those people who got pregnant by hanging her coat somewhere in the vicinity of her DH's. But as you are on this thread and so pregnant anyway you can safely ignore her Grin.

My nipples are all itchy and tingly - clearly I am pregnant rather than allergic to my washing powder or something...

LoveInAColdClimate · 09/06/2011 12:49

Fir right in? Fit right in. Obviously baby brain.

maybebabyR · 09/06/2011 13:26

Haha love You're so right! I'll get my tan on and head on down! I am almost jealous of your itchy nipples. I have an itchy finger?

Good work on the egg pomme

LoveInAColdClimate · 09/06/2011 13:52

Oh dear, ladies, I think I have got a little carried away with the positive ethos of this thread and have just bought a "Daddy Cool" mug for DH which I plan to hide in the cuboard so I can break the news to him by making him a cup of tea in it on BFP morning Blush. Surely this is not normal behaviour?

maybebabyR · 09/06/2011 13:55

Hahahahahahaha love, I just nearly wet myself! (pregnancy incontinenece of course)

That's brilliant!

hellotreeshellosky · 09/06/2011 15:22

Hello ladies, glad you are all keeping up the good work. Clearly all your symptoms speak for themselves.

I have been obsessively googling reading up on this short luteal phase business, since I have apparently ovulated this month on CD25. Recent cycles have been about 33 days, but I had a burst of them every 25 days a few months ago. Does anyone else have wayward cycles?

I conceived DC1 after coming off the pill and since he was born (he's 2) have taken no preventative measures (did BF but AF came back anyway). Now however I am concerned that all the months I thought we had a good chance of rat smackage I may have been entirely wrong since this month I haven't ovulated 14 days before or after anything.

Still I must be pregnant now as we definitely did sexing on the right day this month. And I had a burst of irrational rage this morning at the rain on my washing- a definite sign, wouldn't you say?

Jebel · 09/06/2011 15:43

Oh love I love you. I shall pass this on to DH so he finally realizes my behavior is utterly normal (damn this American auto-correct). Currently forbids any mention of any sentence starting 'when I am pregnant...' as he believes I am jinxing it. Little does he understand that I am most definitely duffed up already so we can freely discuss baby names and who will do the night feed.

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 09/06/2011 17:25

Oh love your mug has just made my day! Grin

pomme seriously if any doctor had said that to me would have told them to shove their bloody advice where the sun doesn't shine. I hod very strong feelings on the 'just relax and it will happen advice' as I might already have mentioned. all it does is make you worry more and then feel like it's your fault if you don't succeed. Angry

anyways, I have just started getting some killer cramps which is obviously my big strong healthy bean getting itself all good and implanted and not pre-af cramping at all. Not even a bit...

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 09/06/2011 17:26

Hod = have Hmm

InTheSunshine · 09/06/2011 21:39

Love that is bluddy brilliant!

Pomme how did you restrain yourself from punching the twatty doctor in the face?

I found out that one of my friends is pregnant yesterday. It's clearly a sign that I am next non?

Bloofer hope your PHD-ing is going well old chap?
