I'm 5ft 4 and 11st, used to be 9 1/2, been on and off weightwatchers and now heaviest I've been- know I should lose weight and get fit (now get breathless running upstairs, used to run 20k a week) but it's just SO HARD! Emotional eating, seeing friends with kids/preg Envy , AF arrives, Wine vicious circle! I know I'm not HUGE in the scheme of things but would like a) to be fit and b) to have less to lose after (hopefully) baby! Urgh, I'm a moaner aren't I- I know what I need to do, just no willpower!

Ringing any bells for anyone?!

Not that I don't need to lose weight! I still know that's important!

KnitterNotTwitter · 07/07/2011 17:25

hey ladies - lovely to have more people on here... the more the merrier.

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/07/2011 18:22

Hello newbies! Good to have you on.board. I'm nearly 30 and am aware that its only going to get harder to lose weight. But! I've lost another pound :) gymmed 4 times this week already, will go again tomorrow night. So beach ready for my holiday on Saturday!

BlueCrane · 07/07/2011 18:51

Sounds like good progress havealittlefaith Grin heading off anywhere nice for hols?

Realised I'm going to need some resilience tonight as have a trustees meeting to go to and the host always bakes yummy cakes for us all to munch on Hmm wonder wherther I will manage to resist?!

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/07/2011 19:13

Off to Somerset (not too tropical) but will be on beach/swimming pool so am happy to be going 10lb lighter!
Resist the cake!!

BlueCrane · 07/07/2011 19:34

10lb lighter is fantastic! Well done...that might even inspire me to resist the cake Smile and Somerset is lovely...hope you have a fantastic time!

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/07/2011 20:51

Thanks! Wish I could say I had a magic cure but its all about careful eating and dragging my bottom down the gym 4 times a week. Worth it though :)

1sttimetryer · 07/07/2011 20:57

Well done havealittle thats brilliant, ive got to the hard part of my diet now, found the first 3 and half stone really easy, think the other couple of stone could end up taking quite a while, been up and down since nov! lost half a pound this week grrr!better than putting on though! Hope you have a lovely holiday :)

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/07/2011 21:17

Thanks. Am going to try and drink spirits and low cal mixers, don't want to undo all my hard work!
firsttime have you considered changing some things to confuse your body? Like different exercise? Have you ever done Zumba?!

FullTimeStudentNurseAndMumOf3 · 07/07/2011 21:57

Meeeeeeeeee!

BlueCrane · 08/07/2011 08:12

Morning all...well, managed to resist the home baked cookies last night so feeling quite pleased with myself!

1sttimetryer 3.5stone is v v impressive! Havealittle's advice sounds good in terms of kickstarting the progress again though.

Welcome fulltime Smile

1sttimetryer · 08/07/2011 10:14

Well if im completely honest im finding it har because i quite enjoy munching my way through chocolate and complete rubbish!! Ha ha! Only have myself to blame! Working 80hr weeks doesnt help either! Then knowing i have such long cycles and ttc could be hard i munch lots more chocolate ! Im going to stay focused this week and get on my exercise bike again :)

BlueCrane · 08/07/2011 10:58

1sttime working 80hr weeks sounds like more than enough to warrant chocolate! Am even more impressed you've managed to lose the weight whilst working so hard! Will you be TTC for DC1?

1sttimetryer · 08/07/2011 11:25

Dont encourage me!! I keep saying i deserve it because ive worked hard!! We have been ttc for a bit over 3 months but only had one af since ttc :(
This cycle i have been determined its going to be our cycle so me and the hubby have been swi every other day!! Yes i am shattered!!! Lol :)

1sttimetryer · 08/07/2011 11:41

Oh i think i misread that, yea ttc for dc1!!

FullTimeStudentNurseAndMumOf3 · 10/07/2011 09:52

Had a munch last night and feeling hugely bad! All on ww choc but even so am mad with myself for doing it. Better go for a run or something now Confused weigh in tomorrow. I was aiming for a 4lb loss but that's been revised to any loss. Hope your all doing better than me

BlueCrane · 10/07/2011 15:33

fulltime I've decided the weekends are a nightmare for my diet as the routine of a week day just doesn't exist so I get too hungry and then snack on the wrong things! Did you make it out for a run?

toodaloo · 10/07/2011 15:56

Thanks for the welcome! I've been to the gym today and had a healthy lunch so that should do something. I need to get back into going 3-4 times a week preferably instead of the twice a week I have been doing. It is only 30mins at a time so I need to stop making excuses and just do it! I would love a bar of chocolate though :)

FullTimeStudentNurseAndMumOf3 · 10/07/2011 15:58

Hi, yes I did. And have the rather marvellous news that my DH has agrees to ttc. At last! So happy, happy, happy about that and an hoping that it will spur me on a little more.
It's always night times with me. I can be good when fully conscious but I walk to fridge in semi conscious state and EAT. What is wrong with me... Ggggrrrr. Hmm

havealittlefaithbaby · 10/07/2011 18:16

fulltime hats off to you! I'm a nurse and training was tough enough on my own! With three kids! How far into your training are you?
I am on holiday and whilst relaxed about the diet I am finding on not eating as badly as I would have before! Just not as much room! Done a bike ride today 3 miles each way so I figure that's my cardio for the day!

FullTimeStudentNurseAndMumOf3 · 10/07/2011 18:27

One year to go. And counting the seconds lol. Have had maternity leave too in the middle Smile

BlueCrane · 11/07/2011 19:22

Well...think I'm going to have put a bit back on this weekend as have had family to stay and not been so careful...but will also try and do my salsacise DVD again in the morning as wasn't too keen doing it when I could have spectators potentially appearing any moment! And then back to being careful too!

FullTimeStudentNurseAndMumOf3 · 11/07/2011 20:34

2lb off which I'm happy with. Need to loose another 2 stone and reduce meds in sync so aiming to ttc from around Oct. Grin

BlueCrane · 12/07/2011 07:59

Morning all...well, the dose button got the better of me so no exercise DVD this morning but I did weight myself and haven't put any weight back on over the weekend which I'm v pleased about...not lost any either though so need to make some more progress this week!

Fulltime well done with the 2lb!

havealittlefaithbaby · 12/07/2011 09:22

Good work fulltime!
Considering I'm on holiday I'm not doing too badly. not snacking like I expected. Also cycling a lot and went swimming yesterday. Scales will tell on Monday! But enjoying myself in the mean time.
