I'm 5ft 4 and 11st, used to be 9 1/2, been on and off weightwatchers and now heaviest I've been- know I should lose weight and get fit (now get breathless running upstairs, used to run 20k a week) but it's just SO HARD! Emotional eating, seeing friends with kids/preg Envy , AF arrives, Wine vicious circle! I know I'm not HUGE in the scheme of things but would like a) to be fit and b) to have less to lose after (hopefully) baby! Urgh, I'm a moaner aren't I- I know what I need to do, just no willpower!

Ringing any bells for anyone?!

Wow that's really cool! You may have eaten well but clearly you exercised too!
My weight has stablised so it's back on to 1200 calories for me. Sad to stop stuffing my face but excited about seeing weight drop off again! Here's hoping for a 7lb loss before 1st July. Did my workout today and managed fine, looks like the leg is good!

Mixed day yesterday - 'good' breakfast, 'naughty' lunch, no dinner!

Mega exercise day today.... Cycled to work, after work I'm cycling to a running race, then doing the race, then cycling home.... Similar to last week's epic :)

Congrats on all the weight loss girls! Grin Can I join in too?

Now 4 weeks since ERPC following MMC found at 12 week scan at the end of May. Combination of weight gain during first 12 weeks and comfort eating post MMC has meant I've gained a stone and now none of my clothes fit properly (hairbands around trouser fastenings are supposed to be for when pg rather than now...grrrr!!)

SO I've started my Rosemary Conley fat attack fortnight and did my Salsacise DVD before work this morning! Here's hoping for some good weight loss whilst I wait for AF so we can start TTC again!

I was 14 stone a couple of months ago, and the doctor told me that losing weight was the only thing they could think of that would help me conceive - we've been trying for a year now. Luckily have a helpful partner... who cheers me up with yet more junk food...

Report
toodaloo · 07/07/2011 13:09

Hiya, can I join?

We have been TTC for a looooong time, I am 5'4" and just over 14 stone so lots to loose! I have recentlly joined Gymophobics (similar to Curves I think) and while I don't think I've lost any weight I am enjoying it and feel much fitter so that is a start. I am trying with food but it's a struggle, I work shifts aswell which doesn't help.

Anyway, we are considering going to the docs as nothing is happening but I am worried that the doctor will just tell me to go away and loose some weight. I am in my mid 30s so need to get a move on. Will the doctor book me/us in for blood tests etc... or just tell me to come back when I weigh less?

I hope to be on here reguarly as I have no will power on my own and it's inspiring to hear of other women who are in the same situation and have lost weight.

Hi viking and toodaloo be good to spur each other on with the weight loss for TTC quest!

toodaloo worth a visit to the docs anyway and if you can say that you're exercising more and trying to lose some weight then hopefully they will get tests rolling as you've been trying for a while.

viking would your DH be up for a joint healthy eating spurt with a pact to help each other and buy only non-junk food treats or agree only to have them one night a week as a treat?

I'm so hungry I could eat all of much lunch over again Blush maybe a Brew will help...

I'm 31 and we have early menopauses running in the family... so no pressure! Toodaloo, I completely understand! If you do go to the doctor and they are not sympathetic/just tell you to lose weight and not give you any other help, you can always get a second opinion - there are nice, helpful drs out there.

BlueCrane - Thanks for the support. Fortunately, it's strawberry season now so I'm going to ask him to get me strawbs as a treat instead. Now I just have to eat them without cream...

Report
BlueCrane · 07/07/2011 15:51

viking I'm 31 too Smile and strawberries are yummy - enjoy!! On my Rosemary Conley diet it says that 150g strawberries (with no added sugar or cream) only comes to 50 calories and is a perfect treat/snack and v v healthy too with stacks of vitamin C!! I was amazed how many strawberries you can have for 150g and only 50 calories so have been enjoying them mid morning as my 'powers snack' each day this week...though we have now run out so will be on grapes instead until I go shopping!
