Anyone want to join me at the start of another 2 ww?

I am due on around the 11th/12th of May. This is our 4th cycle of TTC number 2, after a MC last Jan, and our 2nd cycle using a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor to keep track of things. We managed to DTD 5 times (a record for us!) in the days just before and while I was (hopefully) ovulating, so I have (despite my best efforts) got my hopes up that this month will be the month.

Anyone else out there got 2 weeks of waiting and symptom-checking looming and want some company?

Well, I cracked and tested early and got a BFN. Still time I suppose, but I am fairly sure that I am not pg. I have had a throat infection and been on antibiotics too.

AF due Saturday, I don't know why I couldn't have waited just a little bit longer!

No symptoms.

ElmMum · 03/05/2011 09:27

It's almost impossible not to test early. I'm about to go to the shops and am already talking myself in and out of buying a test ready for when I need it, when really I know if I've got one in the house I'll use it.

:( flyingcloud. Still time for a BFP. Fingers crossed

I'm really proud of myself...I'm 9 dpo today and I just went into Boots and I didn't buy any tests! Grin. Hoping to hold out until the weekend.

ElmMum · 03/05/2011 12:32

meliesmummy! I just did exactly the same thing! Grin

Found myself in Boots and thought, oh no, here we go. Bet i'll end up buying one. But I just looked at the different types, made a mental note to maybe try the First Response ones this time... and left!

Be funny if we were in the same Boots!

I namechanged yesterday for something else and meant to change back but forgot, so the post by Reallyneedajob was by me.

I was convinced that when I went to the loo this morning I would have started but so far nothing. I feel like I'm about to start, but definitely have less cramps than I did the previous 2 days. I sort of feel today like I usually do once I've already started, if that makes sense.

I keep telling myself every time I go to the loo "don't be disappointed, it will have started by now" but each time nothing so my hopes build up again!

pinkpony · 03/05/2011 13:27

I'm proud of myself too! (and also ElmMum and meliesmummy)

Just got back from the supermarket where I stood gazing at the pg tests and managed to walk away. Have a new plan that I'm going to order some First Response ones from the internet, with super saver delivery they won't be here till the end of the week so I will have to wait till then to start POAS although I'm going to try my best to wait till the 13th

I'm so impatient, it's like waiting for christmas and birthdays all in one

sims2fan · 03/05/2011 13:57

I have so far taken 3 tests. One today, one yesterday and one the day before yesterday. All were negative. They were all cheapy wilkinson tests so i dont know if that means they're not very sensitive or what. I'm going to pop into town in an hour or so and if my period hasn't started by then I'm going to buy a first response kind of one, even though I think I was due yesterday. Hopefully that will be more sensitive and will pick it up if I am pregnant.

modernvickyp · 03/05/2011 14:05

Could I join?? Firstly - congrats Shmmery - fantastic news.

Convinced myself last month that I was pregnant - AF 10 days late but BFN on the testing front. Then beeping AF showed up in some sort of style but for only 3 days.

DTD only once this month but was in presence of EWCM so am randomly symptom spotting. AF due 9th May (right slap bang in the middle of our holiday). Am sure that boobs are sore, am feeling nauseous and have funny feeling in ovary area! However, did a test yesterday and got BFN.

Really need to sort myself out and stop thinking about it!! Get a grip girl. The wait continues......

flyingcloud · 03/05/2011 14:51

Follow up from this morning: I have a metallic taste in my mouth... I too really, really need to get a grip!

pommedechocolat · 03/05/2011 18:13

My boobs are still sore and seem lots bigger. Also my mum noticed that I was weeing a lot yesterday and asked if I was pregnant...
ARGH.
Have not tested today (day 21) waiting for tomorrow as have a first response test which can work from day 22. Going to do it with FMU.

VintageNancy · 03/05/2011 18:51

Just had weird stretching feeling in tummy - like I get after pilates! But haven't been since last Thurs...
And I've been weeing loads. Mind you been drinking loads too. Ha ha! This way madness lies.

FX for everyone testing soon: pommedechocolat and sims and anyone else.

I will be waiting til I'm at least 3 days late as have had too many disappointing months. Notably one when I was 3 days late, we were on holiday and I made DH find a pharmacy. Next day, AF arrived.

LivingDeadGirl · 03/05/2011 19:08

Pinkpony - great minds think alike! I've also just ordered some free super saver delivery amazon tests. Hopefully the knowledge that some are on their way will stop me cracking and testing too early.

Felt a bit sickly late afternoon today but other than that nothing. Am determined not to test unless I'm late.

sims2fan · 03/05/2011 19:21

Isn't it funny to think that although we are probably spread throughout Britain or even further afield, if any of us are pregnant this month our children will be the same age and go through school etc at the same time. It just struck me today. We might be on threads together in the future saying things like "oh yes, my 3 year old does that all the time - totally normal!" Lol!

milocuckoomitten · 03/05/2011 19:32

Still no AF for me, still having some cramping and thinking I'm going to start but then finding I'm not. Also still feeling really weepy except I'm not upset about anything. I just hate the waiting - I must be CD 41 by now!

DreamingOfABump · 03/05/2011 20:01

pinkpny and livingdead so funny did the same thing with first response on supersaver. they will prob arrive tomorrow i guess, when i will be one day early. i dont think im upduffed this month tho- nothing seems different at all today. Bums.

hopingitsthismonth · 03/05/2011 20:24

Hi ladies, sorry i dissapeared! just a quick one to say i'm due 11th mat i think- will update later!

ElmMum · 03/05/2011 20:35

Just cooking dinner. I'll update the list later. Is anyone else guzzling wine or is that just me?!

OP posts:
eurochick · 03/05/2011 20:46

DPO9 and another unsurprising negative for me. Although when I went back to put it in the bin 10 or 15 mins after I read it, I thought I could see a faint line but as it was after the 5 mins reading time I am calling it as an evap line. This is only my second ever internet cheapy so I am still getting used to them!

hopingitsthismonth · 03/05/2011 20:55

LOL re guzzling wine! not tonight but eating DS1's easter egg :-)

I have 4 first response tests in my cupbpard and am going to try and wait until AF due before using but can tell you now I will fail!

Shimery- big congrats! Sims- not sure about wilkos tests, have always fond FR ones brilliant, had BFP with last pregncy 5 days before AF was due with those.

Eurochick- its still early and loads of time for BFP to appear :-)

stay away from those tests ladies!

eurochick · 03/05/2011 20:59

I'm not expecting a BFP, or at least not one that lasts, so even if I get one, I won't be getting excited. I've had implantation bleeding, nausea, metallic taste, all sorts of symptoms before and am still bumpless. This is just an experiment to try to help people figure out what is happening.

pommedechocolat · 03/05/2011 21:06

Cracked and tested - negative.
Have asked dh to pick up more tests tomorrow as I can't at my work.
Also - and I know this is a bit tmi but am really farty! Can you imagine farting?! The power of the mind is incredible.

DreamingOfABump · 03/05/2011 21:09

hahaha are you sure you havent had a sprouts n cabbage fest?

eurochick · 03/05/2011 21:10

I am both farty and burpy. But I am blaming all the sniffing I am doing with my cold. I think I am taking in loads of extra air and it has to come out somewhere!

pommedechocolat · 03/05/2011 21:18

If you google pregnancy plus anything you can find a link. have just tried it with both farting and mouth ulcers.

DreamingOfABump · 03/05/2011 22:22

just tested your theory by googling pregnancy and smelly feet (1st thing that popped into my head) and whod have thought it but apparently pregnancy makes ur feet whiff. PoinT proved pommedc
