Anyone want to join me at the start of another 2 ww?

I am due on around the 11th/12th of May. This is our 4th cycle of TTC number 2, after a MC last Jan, and our 2nd cycle using a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor to keep track of things. We managed to DTD 5 times (a record for us!) in the days just before and while I was (hopefully) ovulating, so I have (despite my best efforts) got my hopes up that this month will be the month.

Anyone else out there got 2 weeks of waiting and symptom-checking looming and want some company?

Thank you ElmMum

They are such a long two weeks..........they are always too long in the 2ww so frustrating!

eurochick · 27/04/2011 21:57

bluey, it drives me crazy too. It is just sooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooooooooooong.

Bellakins · 27/04/2011 22:51

Oooh, can I join too? 2nd month TTC and AF due on 8th May. Think I ovulated last Thurs or Fri as I had what I thought might be ovulation cramps on the Fri eve, but lots of EWCM on both days. Not using OPKs yet. We tried all last week and beginning of this week so I have my fingers crossed. Good luck everyone!

sims2fan · 28/04/2011 00:28

Hi, can I join too please? I'm due on may 3rd and it's my first time of proper ttcing. Last year there was one month when I convinced myself I was pregnant and spent quite a bit of money on tests but I wasn't, but this is the first month we have really been trying. The last few times I have been in a car over the last few days I have felt travel sick, and I don't normally get travel sick. I have been a bit moody too, and starting to feel a bit crampy and like my breasts are sore, but I often get like that in the week leading up to my period. I've told myself that I won't get my hopes up and I won't test until may 10th if my period doesn't arrive. I know that realistically, as it's our first month of trying that it's unlikely for me to get pregnant, but I can't help hoping!

ShimmeryPixie · 28/04/2011 09:29

Temp this morning was 36.55 which is higher than I would usually expect at this time (I'd expect around 36.20 or lower). On the plus side, it gives me hope. On the down side - it gives me hope Grin.

This is going to be a very long day. But if things don't work out, there's always a gin and tonic at the end of it for me.

ShimmeryPixie · 28/04/2011 09:30

And hello to blueeyed, dreaming, bellakins and sims2fan!

hairylights · 28/04/2011 10:42

Ho hum. Day 17

eurochick · 28/04/2011 10:59

CD21 and 2 or 4 DPO (depending on whether I go with FF or what my body was telling me).

My super sensitive (measuring 10 whatevers) arrived from access diagnostics last night, so if I get symptoms I will start the early testing.

flyingcloud · 28/04/2011 16:40

Eurochick - you could be me. My dh has had a tummy bug, so we haven't really given it a good shot this month.

I am also 4DPO - not really sure what CD means (cycle day? in that case I am CD19). AF is due on 7 May. My cycle has been 28 days recently.

So I am joining you on the 2ww. I am not that hopeful, but will be disappointed if it doesn't work. This is third cycle TTC no.2 DD was conceived first cycle.

I have also had lots of 'symptoms' in the last couple of cycles, including 2 days of nausea and fatigue. But I do wonder if these are PMS symptoms that I never recognised before.

This month I refuse to try the sensitive strips from amazon as I have gone through an extraordinary amount in the last two months! I am resolutely going to wait for AF and as I am not that hopeful about actually getting a BFP, will save my money.

Good luck all.

eurochick · 28/04/2011 17:33

I am obviously thinking faster than I can type today as there are a couple of words missing from all my posts!

The hubby's food poisoning affected the last cycle. This one, we have bonked to oblivion at all the right times! Grin I am still not optimistic though. Hence the experimenting to try to see what is happening rather than waiting and hoping until my period is due, which is what I have been doing past months! I am generally good at resisting POAS. I think I have only used one test in the past 4 cycles. I am going to completely change that this time round by doing them each morning from 7 or 8 DPO!

PS yes, CD=cycle day. Oh and POAS = pee on a stick! There is a list of acronyms on the site somewhere.

ElmMum · 28/04/2011 20:03

Evening all. I have had no symptoms of anything at all today. If I think really hard I could perhaps imagine that my boobs are a bit bigger but that might just be this bra, which hoiks them right up and makes them feel a bit massive...

Day 19 here... (more drumming fingers)

ShimmeryPixie · 29/04/2011 14:27

Hello

Just a quick visit to let you know that I got a bfp today. Very faint, but Mr Pixie confirmed that I wasn't just imagining it [cgrin].

meliesmummy · 29/04/2011 14:59

Congratulations pixie!!! [cgrin]. The first bfp of this thread...may it be the first of many!

I'm day 19 today. And my imaginary symptoms are stabby pains on my left side and a craving for elderflower cordial that I also had before a bfp my last pg. Part of me is thinking I'll come on over the weekend though like my last 2 cycles.

ShimmeryPixie · 29/04/2011 15:11

Thank you meliesmummy. I hope the cravings are right!

eurochick · 29/04/2011 15:11

Congrats, pixie!

ElmMum · 29/04/2011 16:11

Congratulations Shimmery! That's ace! The first BFP of the thread. Let's hope there are more to come. :)

DreamingOfABump · 29/04/2011 17:27

congrats shimmery, awesome news

hairylights · 29/04/2011 18:26

Comgrars pixie

Tick tick tick tick .....

blueeyedmonster · 29/04/2011 21:51

Contests shimmery hopefully the first bfp of a few on the thread!

I'm not going too mad yet symptom spotting which surprises me. I'm really glad and think we swi on the right days so am really hoping for this month. Wonder if that'll change by next week!

milocuckoomitten · 29/04/2011 21:57

Can I join although I'm not technically on 2ww any more as was due Thurs? So convinced I'm pregnant this month that I was bursting to tell someone, caved and told a friend at work! Now feel really silly in case AF comes now. Still really hoping for BFP although this has happened to me before - but have never had spotting 10dpo before!

blueeyedmonster · 29/04/2011 23:01

Congrats not contests!!

sims2fan · 29/04/2011 23:15

Congrats Shimmery, hope all goes well.

Milo, are you going to test soon? Good luck!

milocuckoomitten · 30/04/2011 09:55

Sorry forgot to say I tested yesterday and BFN. So now don't know what to do as don't want to waste loads of tests to get AF anyway. It had to come at the time I've got 4 days off so loads of time to think about it!

ElmMum · 30/04/2011 10:33

milo it's tricky isn't it. There are lots of threads on here about people whose AF is late but they still get a BFN. Some then go on to get their AF, others get a BFP a few days later. Hard not to test everyday. Let us know how you go.

I'm still 11 or 12 days off AF. Don't know how I'm going to last til then as I can think about nothing else. Don't have any symptoms though, so am prepared for disappointment.

How's everyone else feeling? At least it's sunny!
