Anyone want to join me at the start of another 2 ww?

I am due on around the 11th/12th of May. This is our 4th cycle of TTC number 2, after a MC last Jan, and our 2nd cycle using a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor to keep track of things. We managed to DTD 5 times (a record for us!) in the days just before and while I was (hopefully) ovulating, so I have (despite my best efforts) got my hopes up that this month will be the month.

Anyone else out there got 2 weeks of waiting and symptom-checking looming and want some company?

I'm just off to bed, and so far no period. It's kind of odd that yesterday and sunday I had loads of period type feelings, whereas today I have had far fewer. That doesn't normally happen. Normally I will feel like my period is about to start, then it does within 24 hours and gradually the pains go away. Occasionally I have started when due but with no real pains beforehand, and then the pains start. But I don't think I have ever experienced pains, then fewer pains, then period starting. But this will probably be the first time of that happening!

I just thought to myself 'as far as I know I'm never late' but then realised that I am not normally desperate to be pregnant and for a period to not arrive, so it's probably stress and excitement keeping it at bay! The last time stress managed to hold off my periods I was 16 and I managed to get through my whole GCSE exams for about 2 months without a period. About the only time my periods have worked in my favour!

I will test again first thing in the morning and post again. Fingers crossed!

Well, I am one step closer to POAS, as I have ordered some cheapy early preg tests off the internet (eBay) - i initially spent a fortune, when trying for DD1, on ovulation tests & preg tests till I discovered them online. So they should be here at the weekend - however I am going to (try to) wait till my due day (13th)... We'll see...

I had forgotten how slow the 2ww feels

Morning all.

I've decided I am going to test a bit early. I don't want to wait til AF is late because I don't think I can bear the disappointment of AF arriving unexpectedly. Am already knicker-checking and it's not due for at least 5 days.

So, think I'll get a FR one and test on Saturday morning. I am getting twinges in the boobs but I had that last month and realised it must be PMS but I'd never noticed it before.

Weird how I can on the one hand really feel that I'm not pg. But on the other hand, really have hope that I might be. Two completely contradictory feelings but one isn't over riding the other.

DH is up to his eyes in work and came to bed at god knows what time, so am trying to keep DD a bit quiet while he has a little extra sleep. She is foghorn leghorn this morning tho

fidgetpie I'm also trying to see if I can wait till the 13th to test, the logical part of my brain says to wait, the impatient side says to test this weekend, I just keep arguing with myself as like ElmMum I'm not sure if I can cope with not knowing.

So far my pregnancy symptoms are weird abdominal twinges and I'm knackered. Have actually been getting nearly 7 1/2 hours of sleep each night (normally awake between 3-5) I'm sure this is nothing to do with the fact that I've cut down on caffeine and alchohol!

im now waiting for the postman to bring me my first response tests so i can test tomorrow morning, but to be honest i dont "feel" pregnant.

Morning all. Thanks pinkpony but no news, good or bad. No bfp but no period either, which I suppose is good news really. I didnt go into town yesterday but I've been in this morning and I got a clearblue test which says is effective 4 days before a missed period so hopefully will pick up if I am pregnant. Someone please tell me to wait and use it first thing tomorrow morning when hormone levels are best detected, otherwise I'll use it today and it probably won't work. Although, saying that the cheap wilko tests probably have been working, it's just that I'm not actually pregnant!

I'm still getting slight cramps but they're more like how I often feel in the middle of a cycle when I presume I'm ovulating. No real pregnancy symptoms though occasionally I feel a little dizzy but think it's possible that I'm imagining that!

sims WAIT til the morning! Otherwise, you won't trust the result whether it's P or N. Just get through today and POAS tomorrow morning when hormone levels are at their optimum. :) good luck trying to stay strong.

I am thinking about going and getting a test for tomorrow morning, having said I'd wait til Sat. Not sure I can bear it much longer.

Thanks elmmum, I shall wait. Besides, though I'm pretty sure my cycle is 28 days, I don't normally keep track so if it is 30 days then I'm due today so not actually late until tomorrow.

However, if I got a positive result, at whatever time of day I would definitely believe it!

Anyone else a bit worried about jeans or belts digging into your stomach? I think I'm getting a bit too obsessed as for the last 2 days when I've been at home I've had my jeans button and belt undone so as not to put pressure on a developing baby if one exists. I need to get a grip!

ElmMum I agree with your sentiment about not feeling pregnant, but really, really hoping.

I am knackered and the weird metallicy taste is still there, but that my be an after effect of my tonsillitis and antibiotics.

I was also really, really grumpy this morning which could be pms.

No sore boobs and no getting up to pee in the night, which was the only sign of pg last time round.

I am CD25, so I think my period is actually due on Sunday 3rd! I can't believe having to wait another day. Although I have cracked and ordered some internet cheapies, both from Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.fr (I live in France). I am going to erm, experiment and see which ones are more effective. They should be here tomorrow (which means I can't test until Friday unless I can hold my wee in until the postman arrives!)

Rather embarrassingly the Amazon.fr hpts come from a 3rd party supplier which is a sex-shop (I hadn't realised on ordering) - I had an email to say that an account has been created with them. DH got very excited, thinking I was ordering some sexy lingerie.

I'm day 24 and not feeling any positive vibes. I've kept away from the tests, I intend to wait for the slim chance that I'm late. Good luck to anyone testing today x

I've cracked and asked DH to get some FR tests on the way home from work. I'm going to test tomorrow morning, which will be CD 26. My cycles are usually 29-31, with recent ones being 30/31/32, so it's a bit early to test really, but I've had enough. I am definitely getting my hopes up so I think it's time to know one way or the other.

Sorry am lurking Mainly because I am sulking about having to wait. Nothing to report here although can convince myself I have any number of symptoms. Eat your heart out Derren Brown. Not cracked and bought test though can't see my self restraint holding out for very long.

Hope testing goes well tomorrow for everyone. I've had twinges in my boobs but had that the last few months since coming off the pill so I'm guessing it's just a pre-menstrual symptom and AF is on her way! I've also had some cramping sensations so not looking good for me! Elmmum, I totally understand the 'not feeling pg' I was actually saying this to my husband last night! AF due on Sun so not too much longer to wait ...

Now that I've decided to test tomorrow I am symptom-spotting like mad. My boobs definitely feel massive today. Terrified now because I think I think I'm pg but I know that I've thought that before and been disappointed, so am on pins. Really really want a BFP. Fear I'm going to get a BFN.

Awww elmmum, I can definitely sympathise! I am making myself stop checking my pants every 5 minutes as I am still sure I'm about to start, but now that I'm overdue for my period I'm starting to really dread my period starting whereas when I had period pains the day before it was due I just accepted it was on its way. Now I am so desperate for it to not be on its way and for me to actually be pregnant!

I am telling myself that it's still unlikely though, as it's our first month of proper trying, though I know some people do get pregnant straight away. It's just so hard not to get excited!

I have just been to the supermarket with my husband and when we were at the checkout I had to go and stand outside as I felt really sick. Which I hope is a pregnancy sign but I do sometimes feel a bit sick at the start of a period. My husband thinks I was just trying to get out of packing the shopping!

My tests did not come today so Will have to wait til Friday to test as post man comes late. Don.t feel. Pregnant but hope its possible

But then Elmmum if you get a BFN might just be cos it's early.

I bought 4 FR tests today on the way home as DH couldn't get out either. 4!! Looney. Going to see if I can hold out till Friday am.

pommed I think if I get a BFN I'll believe it. I know people get them and go on to get BFPs but the two times I've been pg (DD and then MC), I tested early and got a good strong unmistakable BFP.

Don't think I'll be able to wait so it's tomorrow morning for me. I'll let you know the outcome but I'll be away from the computer all day, so if I can't update before I leave the house, it won't be til the evening!

I'm STILL waiting, it's starting to drive me crazy now. At least it's only 2 more days till the weekend :) I will test on either Sat or Sun morning but don't think I can handle getting another BFN this late when still no period. Know I will have to try though as can't go to GP without doing another test. Once I get an answer I will be able to go and ask for investigations if still BFN.

I am going to hold out until monday at least, Hopefully till the end of the week as I am late by a week sometimes. I doubt i'll last that long though.

No preggardy symptoms for me this month. AF due on Friday so I think I am out. meh.

tender nipples today. Not had it noticibly since two weeks after stopping the pill. Also, have checked my fertilityfriend charts and my two cycles off the pill have both had spotting on day 27- today is 27 and nothing at the moment. ooooooo fingers and toes crossed for upettyduffedyness. was going to test tomorrow with first morning wee but my tests havent arrived from amazon yet, so will prob test friday morning if no AF before then.

Wierd feeling that something monumental could be in progress which we have no way of knowing, controlling or predicting....
