hi everyone, these bean bags are really comfy!

Thanks for the reassurance- though to be fair I'm still thinking the worst HmmSmile Thought the brown had stopped today but was back again by lunch time. Am already coming up with different theories on why the beans not sticking even though I don't know whether it is or not yet! I think I'm going to try the EPU again and see if they'll at least book me in for a scan- I'll be 6 weeks on Sunday and I was scanned at just less last time so can't see why they wouldn't do it next week maybe. I'm thinking if it is the same again maybe they'll be able to do some basic blood tests or something (I know this probably naive of me!)

scooby I know exactly how you feel. If this works out I'm going to be freaking out all the time.

orange and tunnocks the scans sound fab!

MummyAbroad · 20/04/2011 20:50

Wow its busy in here!

Sorry Pink I didnt see your message, I though BBB had been totally ignored! Hope you are alright BBB xx

hello to Flori Scooby & Barbie (and minnie? - sorry cant remember if I I have said hello yet!) Collective congrats on your BFP's I am glad you have found a nice place for support (all these ladies are lovely) but its so sad to see just how many women suffer mcs Sad

The list has 27 names on it now, I know quite of few more people havent added themselves in - I wonder if we are the biggest thread on MN? Grin

Lovely scan news, onions!

Izzy so glad the midwife was helpful. I think these things really do make a difference to our sanity.

mamap Smile @ heartbeat. Tis a very lovely sound.

I managed to make chocolate Easter Eggs with DS yesterday. Its very doubtful that any of them will actually last until Easter Blush but I am feeling very pleased to be able to share the British tradition of making Easter all about chocolate and not so much about Jesus Grin (DH is catholic so he can be in charge of teaching him about the other stuff!)

Yay for wonderful scan news onions and how gorgeous is your DS? Do tell us what you told him about how he/she comes out!

Welcome flori, scooby and barbie - if you could bear to read back through some of the previous posts you will find lots of varying symptoms, goo, on/off bleeding, symptoms coming and going that may reassure you a little... believe it or not the weeks do start clocking up very slowly.....

Great news izzy on your mw and consultant care - must be quite a relief to know you're in caring hands.

I'm off to Beirut for a girls weekend so desperately hoping that nothing untoward happens while we're away. The girls know my history and status of current bean so at least no pretending necssary!

kat2504 · 21/04/2011 07:24

Morning all! Hope everyone is ok today. I had a really shit mc dream last night so am very tired today. Trying to tell myself that it is not a portent of doom, dreams do not mean it is going to happen and probably lots of you on here have had the same! Hard to be rational though.

Booking in this morning and then lovely trip to ikea to take my mind off the scan. Clearly I need meatballs while I am there!

wiw hope you have a lovely weekend away. Beirut is an interesting choice. Where do you live?

bbb hope you are ok and managed to get the info you needed about the drugs. Is ridiculous that you need to do that and nhs consultant doesn't listen, but hope the outcome is good this time.

LaraMi · 21/04/2011 08:35

Happy Thursday All...

My last working day till the mammoth 11 day break starts - woo hoo!

MummyA - you "made" Easter eggs. Damned impressed... Been trying to pluck up the energy to go to M&S to buy some!

Kat - I'm no expert but from what I gather, the MC nightmares are totally normal. As we're feeling lots of the same stuff, I wonder if your body temp is also all over the place. I am also really thirsty at night which means I need to pee at least three times. DH was watching the Sopranos (he bought a box set) until 3AM this morning - was livid. He'd better get all this nonsense out of his system before bean arrives!

Enjoy your booking in appt Kat - mine's not til 4th May... Enjoy the meatballs.

Welcome to the newbies - please, please will someone add their stats below me soon. I nearly panicked this AM to see I was the only one still at 7 weeks but that's just cos Banana's entered a new week...

Enjoy Beirut WIW - awesome city from what I hear. Eat lots of yummy Lebanese food for us....

xx

Velvetcu · 21/04/2011 08:39

congrats on the lovely scan news tunnocks orange and onions

helloo to everyone else. I'll be home from spain later so will do a proper catch up then.

scooby I'm still in denial and trying to ignore it at 12+6 but it's getting very difficult! Deal with it however you want to and rant and rave in here too - it really helps :)

kat2504 · 21/04/2011 08:43

Lara, once I've had a scan on Saturday, if there is a bean in there I will be straight on this list!

Morning everyone, and hiya to the newbies.

Minnie brown goo is very common in early pregnancy. If it stays at that then I don't think you have to mental too much, I think most people on here have had it. Yes, get some medical attention and monitor it but it doesn't have to be doom and gloom.

I'm rejoicing in a new bra. I'd been waiting for my second trimester to buy one. Sooo nice to be comfortable at last. I've also bought some maternity trousers. I'm sick of having my top buttons undone. These trousers are a bit big but my bump seems to be growing so maybe they won't be for long. I'm beginning to look like I'm pregnant and don't just have a bit of extra winter podge.

By the way, those of you near me in dates, anyone felt any movement inside yet. It seems way too early but I'm beginning to wonder if it is bean and not wind. I didn't feel anything until about 18 weeks last time so 13 is very, very early.

PinkFondantFancy · 21/04/2011 13:26

Hello everyone! A special hello to the new people, sorry, I missed you in the rush of posts the other day!

mummya don't worry - my only worry is that BBB also missed it. Anyway fingers crossed St Mary's will have pulled their fingers out and get her a prescription sorted already.

irene it's nice getting one that actually fits isn't it! My only complaint is that they are so HUGE if they're not underwired - it's hard getting summer tops that the minging bra doesn't show at the tops or sides. I'm also struggling to get one that's smooth enough to wear under tshirts and also cover up the peanut smuggling - it's ridiculous! Oh also, I think it is possible to feel movement now because I first felt a weird bubbling feeling when I was watching tellly at about 13 or 14 weeks but I wrote it off because I assumed it was too soon, especially because I then didn't feel it again for a few weeks, but now I'm getting that feeling much more often I think it might well be the little bean moving around. Exciting!!!

Hope you're all ok, chocolate fingers all round!!! Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 21/04/2011 13:27

oh and teacakes have a fab holiday!!

dooscooby · 21/04/2011 14:07

I've been doing a bit of reading over old posts on this thread, very amusing and supportive stuff! But, in the mentalling I didn't see anyone mentalling about dull but mild period type pains. It feels like when your period pains have passed their worse but you can still feel really bloated and sore - it's different to the sharper stretchy type pains I had with the previous pregs. Anyone had that?!

florizella · 21/04/2011 14:27

Also had vivid dream about mc last night, woke up with fairly sharp pains.. thankfully they've come and gone, and no bleeding. Am at 6+1 and staying positive.
Pains have varied between dull and sharp, and have days with none, and days like today with lots.
MS is thankfully (!) getting worse, and even the smell of ginger makes me sick. Arrg. Still waiting before buying a new bra, but don't think I'll hold on much longer, the situations is getting desperate!

katherine2008 · 21/04/2011 14:53

scooby i promise i have had all sorts of pains from mild (permanently bloated btw) to full on make me sick pains. from dull to 'sharp', they've just all been uncomfortable! Watch out because the ladies with haddocks will arrive and start waving them at you..!

Collie2 · 21/04/2011 14:56

kat I had my first mc dream too last night. I dreamt that I mc whilst away in Scotland, was bleeding heavily and I couldn?t get to the hospital bcs our cottage is so isolated!! Triggered no doubt by the realisation (or at least I just remembered) before I went to bed that we have to leave our car 15min (walk) away from the cottage, from where the owners of the cottage, who live nearby, will drive their big landrover over the beach to collect us ? but only when the tide is out!! When its in, access by foot only!!!?? AAghhh. Hence my scary mc dream!! Lets hope it stays a dream!

irene I am very Envy of your new mat bra. I am popping out of all sides of mine already, and only have 2 that even remotely fit!! I really wanted to wait until I reached 12 weeks before buying anything but now its so hot and I am shedding layers I?m a bit worried I might flash a bit to much at someone!! Smile

scooby me me!!! I?ve been having period type pains for over a week now and being going on about them to the dismay of everyone! pink offered some reassuring advice that it was probably bowels moving, which calmed me a bit as it does feel a bit like that. Very off putting though, as I?ve gotten used to the stretching pains (well a bit anyway) but the feeling that your AF is on its way is very disconcerting! I seem to be ok though (fx)

I?m at work --killing time?tying things up before joining some of your for a glorious 11 days off! I am sat sweltering in the office as we speak, our building doesn?t know the joys of air conditioning!

MummyAbroad · 21/04/2011 15:09

scooby those pains are really common and just a healthy sign that your utuers is growing. I had them daily in the first few weeks, but now its just every now and again. I liked to think of it as the uterus creaking into action, bit rusty and clanky when it first starts up, but once it gets going there is less squeaking and growning Grin Next time you get them, feel reassured, your beans home is growing nicely!

and have a look at this to see what the rest of your organs are doing:

oh wow, thanks so much for the reassurance. And gurling, does anyone get that? Like bubbles bursting and bubbling away when you put your hand on there. I mentioned that to the Doc when my first m/c was threatened and they looked at me like I was bonkers. I hate the gurgling as I usually get that when my period is coming too - in my head it feels like everything is coming away and that's why it's bubbling so much.

Anyway, I promise I will stop being an annoying newbie stresshead now, you'll all been putting up with this for a good while already!

DoubleDiffedDachs · 21/04/2011 15:27

scooby the whole point of this room is that it's somewhere to stress and vent and ask for reassurance, so anything that's stressing you just let us know and we'll do our best to help. :)

We may slap you with a haddock occasionally, but it's for your own good Wink

MummyAbroad · 21/04/2011 15:34

I think the gurgling is wind and food having a harder time getting round your intestines, things are getting pretty squashed up in there already and pregnancy hormones affect your metabolism too.

Why dont my smiley bunnies work? [busad]
