Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage? There is plenty of support, hand holding and problem-shared-problem-halved going on over here. All welcome to join in.

Thanks for the warm welcome! It's also a relief to hear that other people are experiencing this splendid cocktail of paranoia and fear/somewhat insensitive partners/disturbing aches and pains.

So glad that scans have gone well too. Congratulations!

Out of interest how have you blagged early scans? Are they private? Only I have had a few mc and last time when I asked for an early scan they treated me like a massive time waster. Had every intention of avoiding drs this time but not if I could swing a hooha cam early on!

CollieandPup · 13/05/2011 20:43

Congrats to Hadrian , scooby and tigger for great scans.

welcome to mama and amy sorry for your previous losses but Yay for recent bfp's!! If you're -freaking out and mentalling fretting, you'll be at home here!!! No sane, non-OCD knicker checkers allowed!! Grin

mummya so glad to hear you're doing so well. I've had the lurk on the common room and noticed you'd got regular work, hope you're enjoying it! Glad you're confident about the pg, I hope it's catching! Please drop in on us. Xx
I went off chocolate (unheard of for me) but I'm back to enjoying it now the ms has eased. Did I mention all my symptoms have gone except today I am shattered, but had major stressful day at work today. Filiming short films tomorrow using local people with disabilites as some of the actors. Turns out volunteers are not so reliable!! Agh!!

Lady at work announced she was pg today. Well actually yesterday but I was out of the office so she told me today. I was dying to shout out me too me too!!! But refrained!!! She's due the day before me, which will be nice. She's my age and we get on. She works on different projects to me, but her desk is very close.

Hope all doing well? A few of the 'oldies' have been quiet recently (hasten to add am refering to age of beans and not ladies!!) hope velvet pink wombat dachs tunnocks are ok. Have you graduated? Smile

MummyAbroad · 13/05/2011 20:49

mousebaconmakestinysandwiches · 13/05/2011 21:22

Hello again Smile

I'm in sunny newcastle collie where are you?

My return to work has gone well. Scary boss is being overly nice (which, in a way is more threatening!) but it's already the weekend - hooray!

Good news from all the scan dudes - can you feel much movement tigger ?

Waves to all xx

Minnie74 · 13/05/2011 21:48

Hi girls. I really need to check this every day cos I can't remember 4 pages of news!

Hi to amy and mama definitely a fab place to do lots of mentalling without feeling in the slightest bit weird Grin

Congrats to all the good news scanees hadrian scooby and tigger-

Good luck in the grads section mummya I really hope I feel confident enough to get there eventually

My hula hoop addiction must be ruining my figure as someone at work who didn't know about my bfp till yesterday, commented on finding out "Well I'm glad you said that because I saw you last week and thought you were getting a bit of a belly!!!!!"
Bloody charming! I only started putting weight on this week and then it's only been about 2 pounds (all on my boobs too looking at my four boobs!) Shock

ps. what is a good heartrate? little minibean was 177- isn't that really fast?

Velvetcu · 14/05/2011 01:22

Congrats for good news scanners

collie I'm still here, I'm in a bit of limbo tbh between here and grads. Not sure where I belong so I'm not posting much on either thread!

DoubleDiffedDachs · 14/05/2011 06:50

collie I am also still here - being v quiet on both threads. Still freaking out though! 20 week scan next week and paranoid something will go wrong.

cep · 14/05/2011 08:09

minnie yes that's a good heartrate as well. Babies hb are really fast. Noone would tell me mine, so i've no idea if it's got a good one or not, but i didn't moan (yet) as long as it has a hb i don't mind. Grin

amy welcome i'm sorry for your loss but congratulations on your bfp.

collie i'm like you, i have no real symptoms now and any movement i thought i felt last week seems to have stopped. i now feel in no mans land, not really feeling pg. seeing mw on the 31st will ask for the doppler i think. good luck for your scan this week.

PinkFondantFancy · 14/05/2011 08:58

Hello all just popping in to send mamap's best wishes to you all. She's fine, but working v v v long hours in her bar so hasn't been able to pop in. She asked me to tell you that she's thinking of you all.

Fab news on yesterday's scans!

dachs I was mentalling very hard before my 20 week scan. it's v nervewracking-am keeping everything crossed for you.

Have a lovely weekend all!

Blackkat · 14/05/2011 11:50

Welcome to mamarara and amy, so sorry to hear of your losses but congratulations on your BFP's. This is a splendid place to mental share your worries however trivial they might seem to those around you in RL.

Minnie 177 is a cracking heart rate, beans goes much faster than your own and slows as the pregnancy develops I think, to be more what we'd call "normal" when baby arrives.

mummya great news that your installed on grads

dachs, velvet can well understand that the freaking out doesn't end, I don't suppose it ever properly will until babe is in arms Smile,

mouse glad to hear work went ok and that evil boss witch wasn't too bad, perhaps someone has pointed out to her the error of her ways!

Collie hope you're not working too hard?

jiggle hope you're doing ok, not heard from you for a bit

Hairy, HiHP hope you're both doing ok.

Battery, YMROTBFP hoping you pop back across soon

to cep, scooby, hadrian, lara, izzy, katherine, WIW, banana, ninu, pink and to everyone else I've missed - off to see my brother to share the news, won't get to see him again for a couple of months.

Leaves snack trays of hula hoops, kettle chips and some fruit salad for those of you more healthily minded than me!!

CollieandPup · 14/05/2011 15:27

Glad to hear from pink velvet and dachs but sorry you feel in limbo across the two threads. I can understand being on both for the time being though. dachs 20 weeks already, wow. How scary and exciting all rolled into one. Good luck for your scan on weds. I have my nhs 12wk scan (or 13+3) on the same day so I hope it's a lucky day!!!

cep the only symptoms I have are being tired and cranky!!! Know what you mean about being in limbo. I sometimes think I can feel the baby but then I realise it's just wind Blush

blackkat thanks for checking on me. No not working too hard, just been a busy couple of days. Finished early today too (yay) what did your brother say? made up for you I'm sure!

My Doppler arrived toddy, just tried it out and heard pups heartbeat.... I think!!! Was so lovely, and good timing as I've had pains today and of course vanishing symptoms! It's given me a bit of courage for weds scan! cep if you're still considering getting one I would recommend it. Get one off eBay. I paid a fraction of the rrp price for mine and am in no doubt I could sell it for something similar after the birth if I wanted.

Hope everyone else is ok, and having relaxing weekend. I'm pooped so am about to have nap whilst dh and fil diy the bathroom! I'll go and get the pizza later!!! Grin

harassedinherpants · 14/05/2011 18:19

I have a scan booked for Wednesday!! It's made me feel instantly better tbh.... I really am a freak Grin. Symptoms are massive now. The toilet bowl and I are best friends, I spent two hours having my hair done this morning and needed a nap...... and tbh could do with another one now Grin. Oh and the smell of the oven warming up made me heave earlier. Just like when I was preg with dd! I was chuffed .

Collie if it was nice and fast then it was without doubt Pups hb!! Yay!

Minnie Blackkat is right. That's a fab hb, and will slow down, but even so babies have a faster heartbeat.

I'm having a very relaxing weekend, although must do some cleaning tomorrow and coat the oven in Oven pride. Moving two weeks today aarghh!!!

CollieandPup · 14/05/2011 18:43

harassed you're post made me laugh!!! Glad you're reeling more positive though! What did you have done at the hairdressers? I've been puuting off q colour since my bfp but have caved and have an appointment. I know it's a bit silly but I'm a bit apprehensive about having a colour- something else I did last time, so now freak out about. Anyone else had a colour whilst pg? Just to make me feel better?

minnie sorry I missed your hb post. Yes that's a good rate. Mine was something like 157 so a bit slower, but I was further on and I think they slow down as it gets bigger???

harassed hb was quite fast, too fast for mine I would have thought, and I could only hear it when it was deep in my pelvix. Grin

CollieandPup · 14/05/2011 18:44

Ps yay for scan on weds.... Another scaner gor the 18th!!! Can we all to a good luck dance pls????

LaraMi · 14/05/2011 19:08

Puts on dancing shoes, grabs Collie and Harassed and whirls both around the freak-out room. A few of us have scans on Weds (am bricking it for mine...)

Hope you're having good weekends ladies - feel like I'm just trying to kill the time till my scan. Just googled again for the twentieth time "chances of a miscarriage after seeing heartbeat at 6 weeks". Positive attitude as always from these quarters.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 14/05/2011 22:20
CollieandPup · 15/05/2011 08:23
