Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Wow, so much gossiping Grin

Collie hope you had a nice time, as good as you could hope for, anyway. I work in Kendal and do love it up here.

Owl Love Love Love the 10 commandments.

Although I think I can out-gross Lara - when furtelling for CM/possible vaguest hints of anything coloured, furtle up, err, inside, and then wipe finger on white shower tiles to check no colour.

Oh god, am the grossest person out there Blush

Velvet so sorry about your flu. Please try not to mental further and relax/stay calm. I really hope you feel better soon (I had a bug at about week 7 and ended up phoning NHS direct at 5am because I was so worried. But all is well so far)

Welcome to the list Izzy!

Nix I am soooo jealous of the kicking, nowt here yet, just pies!

Quick update on me. Had 16 week MW appointment today and have been signed off for a couple of weeks. She wasn't too concerned about me feeling a lack of connection/acceptance of being PG (I don't mean she dismissed it, but wasn't worried by it yet), but she was worried that I'm still stressed about my exams in 5 weeks, so she's signed me off for another two. And then I need to see the Dr to make sure I'm fit to go back to work. She's also said she doesn't want me working past 34 weeks so I'll have time to adjust/get my head in the right place at home.

For those interested Hmm in my ongoing incontinence issue, she said its ok for me to use those 'training devices' which go inside. Woo hoo! She did warn me though that I'd need a camping toilet or something similar down stairs for the last few weeks Blush.

So all in all, more positive here today Smile Thank you so much for all your support. You are an amazing bunch and I hate to think of the state I'd been in if it wasn't for all of you

LaraMi · 28/03/2011 17:25

Owl - my IT department are so evil clever that they have barred the delete history function...

Collie - I have backache too now - I wonder if it is really my pelvis too and that I therefore also have an ectopic pg. The thought of it is making my stomach ache with fear which means I'll have to rush to loo before I leave office to check it's not actually my period that's on its way. GAHHHHH

LaraMi · 28/03/2011 17:27

Daisy - that has to be the grosses thing I've ever heard! Absolutely legendary...! I take it your husband has no idea who he has really married, hahahaha!

LaraMi · 28/03/2011 17:27

oops - I meant grossest

Wombat33 · 28/03/2011 17:28

Hello girls and welcome Kat!! Am sitting here trying hard not to vomit on my keyborad after all that talk of eating fish. Still can't face it unless it's tinned tuna! Otherwisie, apart from continuing obession that baby is going to drop out on the floor any moment, all is well here!

Have now outed myself at work and to some friends. Friends are all delighted for us so that's been lovely and is keeping me from mentalling too much that I might somehow jinx things by telling people.

Might have been fooling myself though that by not telling actively people I was keeping it a secret - had to make an emergency dash at lunch time to buy bigger trousers because the [maternity!] ones I was wearing today for the first time turned out to sit really uncomfortably across my belly when I'm sitting at my dek. Still, I'm sure I look very fetching in the office in my [non-maternity] jersey trous, four sizes too big (by my normal dress size) teamed elegantly with patent leather shoes, work top and polka dot scarf Hmm Blush I always dreamed I was going to be such an sophisticated looking pg woman [sob]

Wombat33 · 28/03/2011 17:32

x-posts with everyone. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit more positive today chica and good that you've got more time off work.

Collie2 · 28/03/2011 17:35

Grin lara i know i am also good at dishing out good advice that i don't listen too! Smile I know all will probably be fine, but i am absolutely sh*tting it about peeing on my cb digi tomorrow. I am conviced its going to still say 1-2, or even worse not pg, even though it should say 3+ weeks! PS peed on 10 sticks well within a week after my first bfp. I only have my cb didgi left now.... [scared emoticion]

A bit of sore boobage isn't too much to ask surely???

Collie2 · 28/03/2011 17:44

daisy its a lovely part of the world. I live in the country myslef, on the fringe of the peak districk, but i never get enough of it. Gald you are having a good day. Grossed out a little by your cm tile wiping though Grin

Grin at wombat outfit change. So glam. Somehow i have no doubt that will end up being me. Despite efforts to look sophisticated, they usually fail!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/03/2011 18:05

Get yourself on the list, it's lonely at the bottom!

Now, I have been doing the cb digis every Friday because that's when I got my bfp and the first 1-2 weeks. But you're tempting me to try one tomorrow now - is that a good idea bearing in mind that I might be a couple of days behind, or should I just wait until Friday?

I'm just north of Bristol btw - although from Lincolnshire originally, so unfortunately there'll be no bumping into each other at the private scan - fx we both come out with good news though!

Lara I have absolutely no symptoms, not a sausage, so can't quite get my head around it either. Booking the scan has at least given me something concrete to aim for but I suspect it will continue to feel quite surreal for a long time yet.

owl and Lara - get deleting that History!!! Grin

Wombat33 · 28/03/2011 18:15

Izzy I'd say that depends whether you can hold your pee all night or whether (like me!) you're getting up 3-4 times! If the latter you'll need to wait longer for the hormone levels to get high enough that even a few hours' worth does the trick (speaking from experience!).

Collie2 · 28/03/2011 18:19

I'll be doing it first thing if i get my 3+ weeks tomorrow. izzy unless you are sure that you should have jumped by now based on your ovulation I'd wait. I got 1-2 weeks last saturday but that was 2 wk and 1 day after ov so should have been very close to changing to 2-3 weeks. It will be 3 weeks and 4 days since my ov tomorrow so i think it should def have jumped to 3+ weeks....does it work like that???? Haven't you already had a 3+ already?

Collie2 · 28/03/2011 18:21

Sorry must have you confused with someone else off the mc thread. Yep, fx for us on the 19th though!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/03/2011 18:27

collie no I've been testing on Fridays and got 2-3 weeks last Friday. I think I ov'd on a Monday ie 3 weeks ago today, so might just get 3+ tomorrow, just not sure whether it's worth the potential disappointment...

Collie2 · 28/03/2011 18:33

I'd wait as based on my ov date my first cb digi should have said 2-3 weeks (just) but didn't. I assume this is bcs of the time it might have taken for me to actually ov, have the egg fertilised and for it to travel down the f-tubes. Don't know???, but i'd wait as i wouldn't want to waste a test and risk the disapointment and stress. I was going to test saturday, but decided against it for that reason. x

kat2504 · 28/03/2011 18:39

owl your list is fantastic! Love it! I have already transgressed the tenth commandment about dr google but am certainly keeping clearblue in business.
Still got 1-2 weeks this morning and was hoping it would go up to 2-3 as period is now overdue. I KNOW it's only an indicator and is not accurate to the day but thats annoying as it is the only tangible proof that I have of the pregnancy developing. It had better go up soon or I will be very mental indeed!
I have now done 13 test this month. (the first five were negatives as probably too early) I was quite ashamed of myself when I counted up all the sticks and strips in the bathroom!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/03/2011 18:41

Just read back through thread, half of which I completely missed because I took ages posting and x-posted everyone! Just so you know, IMO daisy wins for grossness with the tiles, although I will admit to checking tissue Blush

daisy your mw sounds lovely, glad she's got you signed off and yay! for the training balls (I think!)

wombat good for you on outing yourself

tt hope you're ok - panic attacks must be so scary!

PinkFondantFancy · 28/03/2011 18:42

Another quickie-sorry only skimmed and will be back later for proper chat but... CB DIGIS ARE EVIL!!!! they are responsible for much panicking and worrying on this thread. All I'm going to say is, please please please don't assume it's all gone wrong if the weeks don't go up-the normal range of HCG at each week is massive and overlapping so it doesn't always get things right!!

Lecture over, will be back later to catch up on the gossip.

kat2504 · 28/03/2011 18:45

pink you are right they are evil. That is why I also feel the need to do "analogue" tests to analyse the colour of the pink dye. I will have to stop it as it is an expensive habit. I will have to stay out of boots until I have had a scan.

Daisybell1 · 28/03/2011 18:53

Yipee! I'm the grossest Grin

And Izzy, yes its definitely yay for the training balls! I'm sick of standing at the bottom of the stairs with my legs crossed wondering whether I'll make it to the loo or not Sad

Its time for action!

banana87 · 28/03/2011 19:27

Hi ladies,

Velvet Sorry you are feeling so rubbish :( My GP said I can take co-codamol as well for aches/pains and it's safe.

Daisy Sorry you've been signed off :( Hopefully things will start looking up soon.

Wombat Horray for announcing! Makes it so much more real and exciting!

Owl Am loving the list. Every single one is true. I also (TMI) feel down there with my finger then examine the discharge to make sure its not brown when I can't get to the toilet (i.e. whilst driving). I also do it at night when I CBA to get up and then examine the colour with my phone light.

Sorry, I skipped all the fishy posts-vom.

Collie I hate CB digital. I have made a point of not using them since my first mc when all it did was wind me up to no end. I have read they are very inaccurate as far as dates are concerned. For me they caused a lot of unnecessary stress.

Waves to pink knitter mummya orange izzy lara and anyone else I missed.

My only symptom at the moment seems to be tiredness. For the past 4 days I have had 2-3 hour naps and gone to bed early...I am SO tired. Boobs sore enough that I can't lay on my tummy but am still poking and proding every 2 seconds.

nickstermum · 28/03/2011 19:33

And..............

Who says mumsnet doesnt influence your life...... i am sitting here eating blasted peppered mackeral and salad... just HAD to go out and get it! Considering i have always always looked at it in the s/market and felt repulsed its going down a treat

Thanks owl x

Collie2 · 28/03/2011 19:42

yummmm i have those with salad for my lunches, and no doubt gross out most people in the office with the smell. Enjoy your grub nix

The CB comments are interesting. I will try and remember all of this tomorrow when if it doesn't go up, but i may need reminding to stop me from mentalling as a bit or reassurance. Just the sheer thought of peeing on the damn thing is stressing me (and poor dh who i have been boring with all the detail) out.

banana your finger rummaging down there gives daisy a run for her grossest money! Grin

owlbooty · 28/03/2011 20:05
Grin

nickstermum · 28/03/2011 20:12
