Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Here is a link to the old thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1165866-Freak-out-room-for-those-newly-updiffed-after-MC-to-hold-hands-and-support-each-other-Part-III/AllOnOnePage#24507574

velvet poor you, that?s very bad of DH and BIL. I?d completely refuse to do the pots and would leave them there all week if I had to. Order yourself a takeaway for dinner tonight, and leave them wondering what they should do. Angry for you. .

Dachs put the photos down. You have had great news at your previous scans, both your beans are fine and will be tomorrow.

Pink sorry you?re feeling poop. I had terrible sleeping patterns when pg and also had trouble breathing just walking about, and I?m generally quite fit. I was worried about it and googled it at the time and it all seems common and fine. You just need to rest today and catch up, the sleepless nights really took it out of me and made my ms worse.

Nicks it all sounds very exciting and scary in one go. Sounds like 2011 is going to be a good year for you.

Good luck Katherine fx for you today.

Also meant to say, went for a walk while it was still light last night (loving light nights) and saw a stork?that?s got to be a good omen right??? (totally ignoring the fact that I see single magpies regularly?)

Emoo · 29/03/2011 11:23

Morning! One day closer, one day to go until scan... feeling a bit wibbly wobbly, and time is dragging so much! Thanks for the support teacake and hope you didn't get woken quite so early today! YRMOTB - not quite ready to go to the grads yet... but I hope I will be in the next week or so once the scan is done and the bloods are back. Just pop back and remind me... Dachs I feel your pain.... good luck tomorrow.

fishlovers - am not quite there with you yet... went off lots of food during the nauseous phase and am cautiously reintroducing! Have now faced curry, and fish is on the list somewhere, but not quite feeling brave enough yet. Still craving salty carbohydrates at the mo...

Lara - you sound completely normal to me. (NB - that's using the ladies here as a frame of reference though... goodness knows what the rest of the world might think!)

Owl - you are a genius!!! Grin. Love the Commandments, and think that Brian should post them on the introduction to our next thread. Can I add to no 8: "and thou shalt then store said multitude of sticks in an appropriately obsessive manner" (to cover the behaviour of me and Izzy and probably others). Pink - do you think the EVIL CB digis should be woven into the commandments somewhere?

Izzy - congrats on going on the list!!

Daisy and banana - yuk! Daisy sounds like you have a very understanding and helpful midwife.

Wombat Grin at your elegant sophistication. At least you're not going to work with your trousers held up by an elastic band....

Nina - congrats on the lovely scan.... and whoever posts the list next , please remember to add Nina on!

Mattsmama - good luck for your scan tomorrow and journeys tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly.

Pink - that all sounds very stressful. Have a big hug (((squeeze))). Don't know about most of it but IIRC from last time, the pounding heart thing is pretty normal.

Katherine - good luck for your scan today!

Collie - wow - a stork!! Where do you live? I was very impressed the other day - I saw a pheasant and a barn owl in the same day, and that's in the outskirts of a bog-standard UK city. The pheasant was by a bus stop, looking very confused!

cep · 29/03/2011 11:36

morning all. i'll have to apologise to not responding to everyone. I hope you're all ok. and fx for those having scans within the next few days.

I have my first mw appt this afternoon. and another scan on tuesday.

PinkFondantFancy · 29/03/2011 11:45

Thanks so much ladies. I was just saying to DH that you lot are a complete lifeline-without you I'd be mentalling quietly to myself imagining allsorts....

owly I meant to add that I LOVE the commandments. brian should definitely make them the next intro. Hehe yep we should add one along the lines that we know full well that CB digis are evil but that doesnt stop us using them anyway....

nix sounds like it's all coming together nicely!!

collie I don't think I've ever seen a real life stork! That is an amazing sign!

mattsmama and emoo all the luck in the world for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. And good luck today Katherine!!

Lara I meant to say yesterday, like collie says-by our standards you are completely normal. I too check knickers, loo roll and the toilet bowl.....

emoo Grin at the pheasant!!

Blimey it is busy in here these days, it's fab! Sorry for everyone I've not caught up with-phone will only let me read and post on one page at a time....

PinkFondantFancy · 29/03/2011 11:45

Oh good luck CEP-another big milestone today!

mattsmama · 29/03/2011 13:55

Just to say A BIG THANK YOU for all your good wishes ladies. It is really much appreciated! Smile x

PinkFondantFancy · 29/03/2011 14:41

Can I just say, owl and dacha you are both geniuses-followed your lunch suggestion today-AMAZING!!!!!

LaraMi · 29/03/2011 14:46

I have been craving meat and eggs... the result was that at lunchtime I embarrassingly bought myself a scotch egg. I never, ever fancy meat or eggs and would look at DH in disgust if he even dreamt of putting a scotch egg in the shopping trolley. After protein hit I am now exhausted and want to crawl under desk to sleep. I also keep needing to pee and have to walk past three banks of desks (approx 15 blokes) to reach ladies. Am conscious of how many times I have to pass them. .

PinkFondantFancy · 29/03/2011 15:04

Lara I've had a similar thing-I had to buy an emergency sausage roll the other lunchtime-it was vile but for some reason the bean demanded it...... Don't worry about the blokes, their observation skills are likely so poor they've not even noticed!!

owlbooty · 29/03/2011 15:40

Pink Now I have mackerel envy, damnit. Although I did have a plaice for lunch Grin

Knits sadly my knitting skillz are, urm, a bit shoddy. I tend to end up with double the number of rows I started with. Which is fine if one is knitting a thong but useless otherwise. Knitted thong, anyone?

Bean demanding filthy 'meat' product = gotta be a boy in there. Grin

cep hope the MW appt goes well :)

LaraMi · 29/03/2011 16:07

Owl - knitted thong sounds brill. Perfect for honeymoons in the Arctic Circle. My knitting career lasted as long as my mum's knitting lesson. By the time I did a cost-benefit analysis of how long it actually took to create a knitted item combined with the actual price of the wool, I calculated it would be a far better use of time and money to get myself down to a store and purchase a jumper / scarf / thong.

Meat has to equate to a boy, doesn't it?!! Of course I'd be grateful for a healthy baby of either sex and pray that the positive line on the test turns into a real-life human being in eight months time! However, the thought of a boy does fill me with momentary (only momentary) slight nerves - how on earth would I learn to play boy games? Would I be condemned to weekend after weekend standing in cold fields watching balls being kicked / thrown around? But right now, I'm so darned grateful to even be able to think for a second that there's a possible light at the end of the tunnel at the end of the year.... A little boy bean would make me the happiest laydee in the world!

katherine2008 · 29/03/2011 16:13

Hi Guys - not had a chance to catch up on today's chat yet, but just to let you know that K2008Jnr had a heart beat of 164 today. I burst into tears so the rest is it a bit of a blur, but if anyone in the South East ever needs a private scan I cannot recommend the Fetal Medicine Clinic in Harley Street enough. Calm and serene and just lovely - a world away from the horrors of EPU! Thank you so much for all your good wishes - I feel a heck of a lot calmer now! Grin

tiggersreturn · 29/03/2011 16:16

Lara while pg with ds I was vegetarian until about 20 weeks and no chicken till the end as it made me sick. So I'm not sure meat equates so clearly to boys!

tunnocks they said to leave my due date as 11/11/11 (although I have a due date of 9/11/11 as my cycle is quite short) - and to wait til my 12 week scan before they change the date. They printed me off a picture of a blob and kindly put an arrow on it pointing at which bit is the baby!! Phew! Also, according to my sonographer, a lot of the pain we get is actually bowel related as the hormones makes our system work very poorly, so whilst we think it is in the groin it is actually to do with poo!!! Also saw that the egg had come from my right ovary - she showed me what was still there - was all amazing!!!!

Katherine that is awesome, awesome news. Congratulations and it must be so very reassuring. So happy for you

PinkFondantFancy · 29/03/2011 17:09

Well done Katherine! I used them for the 12w scan the other week, they were great. Trouble is I could definitely get used to Harley Street care compared to local NHS hospital-pity my budget stops at private scans!! Grin

Thanks for all the well wishes, i am a lot calmer now thanks. And nix I am an eejit for not sleeping on side-just assumed that was a prob later on but apparently it is from 12w! D-oh.,

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 29/03/2011 17:11

Just checking in for news of katherine's scan - sounds like it was lovely!! Grin Grin Grin

Can't believe I have another three weeks to wait for mine...god I hope it's ok!

I'm afraid I can't join in the meat cravings due to being vegetarian, but am feeling the need to drink more milk than ever before...wonder if that's a sign of anything?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 29/03/2011 17:13

Oh and pink definitely sleep on side, preferably left. Don't panic though - is quite normal to find sleeping on back uncomfortable from early on (I always sleep on back so find this hard to get used to). Anyone got any idea why it's supposed to be your left side?!

Wombat33 · 29/03/2011 17:31

Whoop for fab scan Katherine!!

Izz I too am craving milk (despite the fact I don't actually like the taste! Nesquick is my new best friend!).

Apparently the left side thing is because the vena cava (sp?) (major vein carrying blood from lower body) usually runs down the right hand side of your spine and if baby's weight presses on it it can restrict blood flow and make you feel sick and dizzy. My midwife said though that lying on your right is fine too - any position - even on your back - is okay as long as it's not making you feel dizzy. I've also heard lying on the left encourages baby into a good position for delivery but I don't know how true this is.

Had my 16 wk MW appointment today. All fine, though I'm still panicking like Tunnocks about cervix issues. Am going to ask the consultant on Monday to reassure me [hopefully!].
