Hope I've done this right! Am presuming UCL is cycle llength, apologies if have been dense and got that wrong. Was very lucky and conceived on first month with DS and so (a) not familiar with all this, and (b) am thinking it won't be so easy this time!

What's the difference between EWCM and semen? Been DTD every night so far this month so it's difficult to discern...

Well AF came this morning to ruin me.

I'm so mixed up with all the C.D's it was day 58 today of the last cycle!!!

However, i did notice looser mucus (sorry if TMI) on the 8th,9th and 10th March and it's been around 12 days since then and i've just got AF so the Luteal phase is bang on being correct, it's just the time from the C.D one until the beginning of the Luteal phase that is totally bonkers!

I'm now hopping on the January baby bus.....Fingers crossed for me ladies please for it to be third bus lucky!!

Had a terrible night last night, got woken up by terrible pain but quite different from normal peroid pain which is normally all over tummy and back this was just in one point very lowdown to the side. Then I started worrying about ectopic but then realised wouldnt get pain so early on. Anyway it gone now, so cant be anything serious even though it was really bad and I have come to the conclusion my body just likes doing werid things to me to keep me on my toes.
Anyway I will change my stats

rew I am in the same boat as you. I did finish my pill pack (microgynon too) but I missed one in the middle of the month and I had brown discharge for a about a week (while continuing to take the pill) then I had nothing at the end of the pack. So I think the middle of the month was a fake period.

You are right, your dates could be a bit off (and mine too - I think I ovulated on 17th Mar) but just be aware of what your body is doing and use this month as a wait and see - and it'll be a massive bonus if you do get pg!

I'm a bit :( mainly because i'm totally miffed as to exactly when to SWI!!!!

both myself and my DP have been SWI a lot in this last cycle and it's come to nothing!

however, when i noticed the start of the Luteal phase, i was working away from DP, and i think we missed it by about 48 hours.... grrr!

Anyone got any ideas on the best time to SWI once you've noticed Luteal mucus?!?!

Actually if succesful this month edd would be 25t of dec, so Im still on this bus. Do you have long cycles?
Im not too sure about swi, we are just trying every second day. Im checking cm too. Was considering pooting this month just to make sure I am ov. Although according to cm I am, just feel the need to double check

Yeah i have mega long cycles its annoying because like i said.... i don't know when to SWI until it's too late!

I don't really want to be that "anal" about conception with pooting etc, as i feel i will get too obsessed and i still want it to feel "normal" when i do conceive.

my last C.D was 57 days and the C.D before that was 49, before that it was 42. However, the last few months while TTCing i have notice Luteal phase and then AF has joined me in around 12-14 days later so i know i am defiantly ovulating, it's just the time before the Luteal phase that can be MONTHS long!!!

Im going to get clear blue ovulating machine if we are unlucky this month. DP and I pretty much do it everyday so I don't think we could possibly miss the window completely, although I guess i'm just panicking about whether I ov at all!

Can't help you there weimy I am just 4/5DPO and I POAS this morning. Couldn't help myself - all this talk of POAS and BFP's (congrats to all who got theirs) got me all carried away. Obviously it was a BFN, but I think I felt safe doing it because I KNEW it would be BFN! I will look at it as POAS practice

Given I think I missed the OV time and SWI too early (thanks to the OV pattern in previous cycles) I really don't think I have much hope this cycle unless DH's little swimmers are super survivors (4 days), but I won't be out until the evil witch arrives!

That must be awful having long cycles, Im very impatient and that would drive me mad. Im more the opposite usually 25-28 but had a couple of cycles that just been 16 days. Not sure what that means regarding ov, is it happening whilst Im still on af? If so no way of swi, last thing on my mind and dh would pass out if I even suggested it. Or does it not happen at all or just a very short lutuel phrase which is not good

tanif You can check if it's CM or semen by putting some in a glass of water . Semen dissipates and CM forms a ball.

Hello all, hope you all don't mind me joining this thread so late - I'm a complete newbie to all this and have been lurking for a while but have finally plucked up the courage to join in This is our first attempt at trying to conceive our first, not really expecting it to happen this month as unfortunately a busy month at work has got in the way of us managing much swi, but theres always hope!

I tend to have fairly longish cycles, usually 36 days... I'm currently on day 31, so af due this Sunday. Will try to add myself to the stats - hope this works!

The SWI seems to turn into "is there any point"

which is why i think we missed it this time around 57 days is a long time!!!

The second month we were trying I was peeing on OPKs and early PK's but since then i've not been that bothered. I came on really early last month, so hadn't even thought about it, and just knew I wasn't the month before. I'm on DPO8 at the mo, I'm thinking I might test on Thursday but i'm doing a spa day with a best friend on Sat and then have all the girls coming for my hen dinner in the eve. If I test on Thurs and in the unlikely event its poss i'd maybe be too excited and tell them, or maybe i'd be down in the dumps if i'm not, or I could wait till sunday, at which point i will either be on, or would have drunk too much on Sat and be feeling guilty

Right, I'm out. Just got some brown discharge. Had same last month at around the same time, so it's just waiting time until AF arrives.

Had been having a little buyer's remorse, so not too sad.
