Daiso... ive sortof had the same thing.... no contraception with DP for about 6 months, so instead of having a scare pregnancy we decided to make it official that we're TTCing!!

both myself and DP started on vitamins yesterday..... I'm using Sanatogen mother to be and DP is using these multivitamins for people over 50.....

Not that he is 50+ i will add.... These are the only vitamins we found in boots that had all the vitamins that where on the male "pregncare" packaging but for a much smaller price tag (£7.15 for 4 months supply).

These over 50+ multivits dont have vitamin A in them, (as i know from past study once youre older you dont need vitamin A any more!!) they had everything else, the same as the male pregnicare, maybe the slight difference was the mg ammounts, but we thought, as long as he's getting some of everything it cant harm, as his diet is great anyway.

"as i know from past study once youre older you dont need vitamin A any more!!"

Really? Why is that?

Has that anything to do with why women are advised to avoid high levels in pregnancy?

Oceynorm I am taking the Sanatogen Mum to be tablets as well. I couldn't decide between those and Pregnacare ones. I've been taking them for the last month. Will have to get some more soon, I noticed that Sainsburys have them on 3 for 2 at the moment.

DH is on multivitamins, Q10 and Omega 3 - no idea if those are the right ones or not - I think I came up with them from a variety of sources!!

"Vitamins are essential organic compounds needed by the body in small ammounts. For example, the recommended daily ammount of vitamin A for a young adult male is 1000 ug (only one thousand of a gram). This means that the adverage human needs to take in only about 25g of vitamin A (a mouthful) during a entire lifetime".

Vitamin A is said to be slower to absorb in older people.

Hello I'd like to join in, have always been too nervous to post in this particular thread..but maybe it will bring me luck! We have been trying...without really trying ...for about four months and I am feeling very sad so far about not being pregnant.

All my friends have babies or are up the duff and I'm finding it hard to remain cheerful about it..my boyfriend can't understand why I don't just relax a bit..sigh....TRYING TO RELAX!

Iggly · 28/02/2011 19:56

Oooo lots of us now! Hi googie from November :)

I'm undecided - should I chart chart chart and use opks or should I relax and just see what happens? With DS I got pregnant straight away off the pill and with my MC we just did it when I saw some EWCM. decisions decisions. I'm on CD7 so should decide soon Grin

FluteyBoots · 28/02/2011 20:06

Hello, AF kicked me off November bus on Friday too, so hello, I'lI try the December one please!

TTC#2, CD4

I am also going to try ovulation sticks for the first time this month

weimy · 28/02/2011 20:20

HI

Can I hop on? I have just been kicked off the Nov bus!!!

TTC1 cycle 4 ucl 27/29 days CD 3 :(

googietheegg · 28/02/2011 20:33

Hi there Iggly - good luck for the December bus! I'm not sure about the opks either - i don't want to miss anything, but I don't want it to not be fun either...

Weimy, sorry you're off the November bus - AF is a right old hag sometimes. But welcome aboard this one. Ding, ding!

RFCMummy · 28/02/2011 20:38

I bought all the opk sticks too but decided that I will probably forget when to use them and then stress myself out about it so am not going to bother!!

good luck all x

Sassymk · 28/02/2011 20:45

Hi!

I'd like to join the bus if I may

TTC #2, CD8 :)

Good luck to all x

Oceynorm · 28/02/2011 21:21

OP posts:
spidookly · 28/02/2011 21:34

Oh, I'm CD5.

Thanks Ocey :)

googietheegg · 28/02/2011 21:42

I'm TTC #1 cycle 2 ucl 30 cd3

so when do I start pooting?!?! (is there a proper bus term for pissing on ovulation tests?!?!?!)

spidookly · 28/02/2011 21:44

:o

PMSL @ pooting

I thought it referred to computing - as in computing your dates. So it works in many ways :)

Daiso · 28/02/2011 22:27

I'm TTC # 1 and on CD 12.... So I need to seduce hubby!! :-)

BaggedandTagged · 01/03/2011 06:03

I'm jumping on.

TTC # 2, cycle 1, ucl 34, cd1

Iggly · 01/03/2011 07:30

Oh googie that HAS to be a new acronym!!!!!!!!!!!!! POOT!

Daiso · 01/03/2011 09:26

Hmmm, just realised I think I'm on the wrong bus!!! IF (and a massive IF!) I concived this time then my EDD would be 24th Nov not Dec. Sorry folks.

Can I stay on here as will no doubt get kicked off the Nov one anyway and then at least I'm nice and settled with a seat on the top deck for the rest of Dec's journey....

I got. :-) when POOTing last night!

googietheegg · 01/03/2011 10:10

(takes a bow)

The pride I feel for the new acronym is helping my positivity for the December bus! Who needs the November bus hey!? (Although I hope you do Daiso!!)

Wine for all! (in a purely metaphorical sense)

MickyLee · 01/03/2011 15:08

Not much chance for me this month. DM coming to stay for 2 weeks on Thursday and as we are in a 2 bed apartment with a shared bathroom, we can't get down to the process of baby making. On the positive side, if we conceive next month then i will know my cycle amd be able to predict the due date.

Will still be Pooting at the end of the month
though Wink
