Fx peapop :)

You have done well to resist the pee sticks grasshoppa

:o

CD23, pregnancy symptom = unfeasibly large poos (definitely TMI - just for you Micky)

:o

Not really symptom spotting too much, main feeling today is mild hangover from too much wine with friends last night. Having fun on our little break in my home town :)

sevendwarves · 18/03/2011 09:03

Fx peapop.

thinking I agree to stop if you think you've ovulated, there's only so much you can do. Enjoy being in your own bed!

Iggly · 18/03/2011 09:14

Good luck pea!

And Grin spidookly for the TMI symptom.

Well I'm very naughty and even though we only DTD twice at the key times, I POAS this morning. Not due for a week with my longer cycle length. Anyway there's q very very faint line on my super sensitive Internet cheapie. Twice I've done it. Shock however given that this happened last month (with a different test although just once), I'm notbelieving anything. I'm scared it'll be a chemical anyway.

BlueCrane · 18/03/2011 09:16

Morning all! Another -ve on my OV tests and CM confusing me but keeping up with the SWI every other day just in case! DH as miffed as I am about him possibly having to go away again but will see whether he gets the call (hopefully not!). Feels as though this cycle's been super long already and it's only CD15 of a possible 35 days...so long to go still!

spidookly and thinking hope you're enjoying some good rest/sleep now!!

Well done peapop for resisting POAS...without wishing to get your hopes up the spotting you mention yesterday sounds suspiciously like implantation Smile fx for you!

BlueCrane · 18/03/2011 09:18

Oooh iggly you'll be in trouble with spidookly for POAS so early!! Wink But let's hope the +ve grows and sticks!!!

spidookly · 18/03/2011 09:31

Iggly

Can you get super-sensitive, reliable Internet cheapies? (I know nothing about them.)

A week before AF sounds remarkably early to be getting a positive test.

A faint line you can't trust seems worse than a BFN you don't believe :(

What will you do now? Just try to pretend it didn't happen and wait, or keep testing?

I don't envy you that decision :(

MickyLee · 18/03/2011 11:03

Iggly sounds promising but going to hold off the congrats after what happed to Daisco :)

Iggly · 18/03/2011 11:19

spidookly I don't know if they're reliable but they're sensitive - 10uml ones from amazon. The reviews were mixed but more positives so I though why not, cheaper than CB or FR.

Yes Blue I shouldn't have! I'm CD24 so if it was a short cycle then 5 days early, long cycle 8 days. TBH I haven't had many symptoms - a bit of cramping and that's it. So will not POAS until Monday. Can you ladies help me stay away? Might give the sticks to DH to hide!

Youremindmeofthebabe · 18/03/2011 11:33

Hello ladies, how's it gOing?

iggly step away from the pee-sticks! it's a waiting game now then, good luck!

FF has changed my AF due date to 27 th march instead of the 2nd April, I'll change it on here when I get a mm, so I'm now 3 DPO and in the 2 ww! Huzzah.

rew108 · 18/03/2011 12:11

Hi

I have just come off the pill, I stopped it 5 days after starting a new pack. I then had a period, is this a fake period! I'm really confused when I should count the beginning of my last cycle as I consequently had 2 periods close together.

Any ideas?

This will be my second baby, 1st is 9 months

xx

Congrats Daiso thats fantastic news. I've got my fx for you poppy that you get a definate answer very very soon.

I'm now on the 2ww and so far have tried very hard not to symptom spot. For some reson I always get sore boobs the entire time unless I'm on AF. This month though I haven't got the sore boobs. Very confusing.

My ds is 9 next month so we'll have a big age gap too. I'm hoping this will benefit us as he really wants to help. Might be it a bit more tricky when he gets to 18.

Sending baby dust to everyone and got my fx.

donkir · 18/03/2011 12:18

Welcome Rew108. As you started the pack of pills this is still a fake period. Doesn't stop you trying though. Good luck to you.

MickyLee · 18/03/2011 12:45

Welcome Rew

I am in the same situation as you. I came off the pill on the 23rd of Feb and on my 'fake' period. so I am counting 28 days from the first day of that for this month.

Some people ovulate the first month after coming off the pill while others a few more months. As I wasn't on the pill before conceiving both my DC I'm not sure how long it will take me.

Good luck :)

MickyLee · 18/03/2011 12:47

Gosh (I never say this in RL so I don't know why I am now) Lots of us due AF on 26th now!

sevendwarves · 18/03/2011 12:54

Hi rew. I ov'd in my first month after 2 years on the pill. My first cycle was 36 days, the other 2 I've had so far have both been 33 days, so it didn't take long for my cycles to settle down. HTH

Poppyjen · 18/03/2011 15:08

Hi rew I ovulated on my first cycle off the pill and conceived DS that very month.

The only thing to be wary of is if you get a BFP in this first cycle you may not necessarily know when you ovulated. They worked out my due date based on the first day of my "fake" period (withdrawal bleed) and then DS was 16 days overdue Shock so I am convinced I must have ovulated a bit later. Doesn't seem like it makes a big difference at the beginning but at the end it meant I had to be induced because I was "post-dates" and missed out on my planned birth-centre waterbirth opportunity. If they had worked it out from the measurements at my 12 week scan things may well have been different, I may have had an extra week or so for DS to decide to come out of his own accord Smile

This time though things have got a bit weird (see earlier posts...) but I think I ovulated yesterday (CD39 Shock ).

Most people I have spoken to say that as long as there isn't an underlying issue (such as PCOS, which I have) then the cycle should settle quickly.

Fx for you!!!

Poppyjen · 18/03/2011 15:16

Sorry Rew just re-read your post and realised you hadn't asked anything about ovulation after coming off the pill so apologies for rambling on.... Blush I have ovulation on the brain today.... Smile

In answer to your question I think I would count the first day of the second period as CD1 as it will be after this period that your body will begin to produce hormones to kick start the cycle by itself. Do be wary of dates though if you do get a BFP (as I said in my last post).

P xx

MickyLee · 18/03/2011 15:40

poppy think that my have been my fault Grin

rew108 · 18/03/2011 17:17

Hey!

I had no idea how great being on this thread would be, I am very new to forums but I can;t believe how lovely and helpful your posts have been! I must admit I am a little confused by what the letters stand for, but I am sure I will get used to them. Is there anywhere I can find a list of them?

Right I am going tocount from my fake period, but be wary. I have not measured how kong my cycle is but I think it's 28 days so I will look out aound the end of this month!

MickyLee · 18/03/2011 17:20

rew look at the top of the page to find 'Acronyms ' for help :)

rew108 · 18/03/2011 17:21

Hi just realised there is an acronyms page! And i'm very sorry for the spelling mistakes! I have my baby on my lap!

Tanif · 18/03/2011 17:35

I have so much to catch up on!

thinking I wrote my dissertation on the legal rights of parents/children conceived through insemination, both natural and unnatural. As I'm a boring law grad, there were no moral conclusions, just legal ones and commentary on whether the law is right or wrong to allow tracing.

Had my smear this morning, it wasn't so bad, asked the nurse about PCOS and she reckons it's highly unlikely that I have it because I have very regular cycles. I also asked her about a little lump on my cervix, which she reckons is a completely harmless cyst. I could probably have asked her more but by that point I was being ushered out...

rew108 · 18/03/2011 17:39

So period started 4th March! I am ovulation now!!

MickyLee · 18/03/2011 18:19

Rew better get down to it then Wink

sevendwarves · 18/03/2011 18:25

rew good job you worked it out!
