Iggly · 18/03/2011 19:51

Good luck rew - I assumed I'd ovulate two weeks after my first period off the pill and got pregnant on the first try!

I'm going to ask DH to hide my pregnancy tests. I bet he'll do a Hmm face - but not going to tell him about the faint line in case it's not what we hope it will be.

peapop · 18/03/2011 21:16

Ooo I like being star pupil ha ha!

Evening all how is everyone? Hope you've all got nice plans for the weekend Smile

Well still no real sign of AF although I did have some further spotting this morning...could this be implantation bleeding? I thought that happened before AF was due not around same time? Confused

I'm thinking about this too much right?!!

iggly fx that it is a BFP for you! And welcome to Rew and any other newbies I have missed!

sevendwarves · 18/03/2011 21:36

peapop I think it can be around the same time. If implantation takes 6-14 days it really depends how long your luteal phase is. I assume that must be how some women don't realise they're pregnant.

Good luck Iggly, fx. I don't know how you're going to manage without testing though, i know I couldn't (sorry spidookly)!

orangehead · 18/03/2011 21:53

donkirmy eldest is 9, I think I big age gap will be nice. Can imagine him really dotting n a baby and elping in small ways.
Rew you just never know, they do say it can take a couple of months for the pill to get fully out of your system. But saying that a friend of mine got pregnant whilst on the pill she just missed one day.

orangehead · 18/03/2011 22:04

Fx for peapop and Iggly. Peapop with two of my pregnancies had light bleeding the day my af was due only thought to test when it stopped and realised alot lighter than af, so sounds promising.
Iggly one of my pregnacies I got bfp 4 days early, I think the make was called predictor or something but it doesnt seem to be on the market anymore (infact all my bfp was that make, I liked it as it was a pink dot rather than a blue line- it seemed clearer.)

olismum23 · 18/03/2011 23:09

I thought i would join you ladies if that is ok hoping to get pg this month and due date would be xmas day its my first proper cycle after m/c and i am hoping not to obsess but i thought i would join for luck! xx

spidookly · 19/03/2011 00:29

Welcome oli - add yourself to the stats, they are down there somewhere.

peapop - in my 2nd pregnancy I got an implantation bleed the day AF was due. Took another week to figure out I was pregnant.

LOL @ "overthinking" :o

It's the last day of your cycle, you pretty much can't over think it :)

fx for you

Iggly - you seem in fine fettle, I'd be going out of my mind a bit I think :)

genle fx for you.

Hi All,

I came off the pill last month and am currently SWI in the hope of conceiving 1st child.
I've learned more about ovulation and conceptin by reading this thread than anything else I've read- so thank you all.
We've decided not to tell f&f until we are pregnant, so I am looking forwards to sharing the conception experience with you all.

Good Luck

MickyLee · 19/03/2011 05:56

Morning all.

Does 2WW mean 2 week wait?

If so then tht is well and truely me ATM. How dull and boring. Nothing I can do but wait and see Hmm

I'd put money on it that I won't get a BFP and AF instead though.

Hope everyone is ok :)

Iggly · 19/03/2011 06:49

Thanks ladies. Am feeling pretty calm - mainly because I don't think it's going to happen this month, I went mad last month POAS and I have DS to distract me. Read a very very sad thread where a MNer just lost her toddler a few days ago :( and it made me feel very lucky to have what I do.

Sorry that's a bit of a downer!!!

Welcome oli and wig

Someone pointed out all the AF's due on 26 March (Inc me). We've got to get some BFPs!

pea I had an implantation bleed the day AF was due with my last pregnancy - only until afterwards when it stoppe after 24 hours did I get suspicious and test to get a BFP :)

XNickyPX · 19/03/2011 07:33

well, i intended on testing this morning....woke up dying for a wee at half 3 in the night so decided to test. (stupid really...full bladder and a day before due). Got a faint positive. Can i get excited????!!! i'm driving myself insane.!!!

spidookly · 19/03/2011 07:42

When are you due XNicky?

Put yourself onto the stats, a lot of people ate left off because we started them late.

Before this thread I would have said an unreserved congratulations, but now I'm more cautious and learning about different kinds of unreliable tests.

CD24 - pg symptom = sheet snot :o

orange I'm spotty too :(

XNickyPX · 19/03/2011 07:46

I'm due on tomorrow, that'll be 29 days. I ve had period pain for the last week which has now stopped. Used a first response test which says you should wait till you've missed your period. Fingers crossed. xx

OK a FR the day before you're due, combined with waking up in the middle of the night dying to wee - I'm prepared to say:

YAY! Congratulations :)

Now you definitely need to go in stats so we can put a BFP by your name!

XNickyPX · 19/03/2011 07:54

Ah, thank you so much spidookly!!! I'm going to do another test tomorrow morning to make sure and will keep you posted.

Baby dust to everyone.

XNicky - just noticed that arguably you are due today! Well then there's really nothing to be doubtful about. Even by FR's T&Cs you are up the duff :o

:) :) :)

Yay, how exciting for you!

spidookly · 19/03/2011 08:20

Micky - when you wake up in the morning needing to blow your nose and what comes out is a sheet of nostril-shaped hard snot

:o

I had this all through my last pregnancy!

MickyLee · 19/03/2011 08:24

Ooo.. DC get those, although I have to pick them out with my little nail.

I had a really snotty nose through both of my pregnancies too :)

PopsyWind · 19/03/2011 09:09

Congrats XNicky!! And hopefully Iggly too!!

Ooo we're doing quite well aren't we?!! Hope it continues...

So 2WWing with a vengeance here. Didn't realise I should be obsessing about nasal symptoms on top of everything else!!!

Iggly · 19/03/2011 09:27

Congratulations Nicky!

Well I may as well join in with symptom spotting Grin am a bit weepy, sore nips (but could be cos DS is feeding looooooads at night), lower back and feel a tiny bit queasy and thirsty. But I also have a cold which skews things!

nicky Congratulations on BFP!

Just a quick update, I gave in and POAS this morning and BFN but still no sign of AF Sad Still no period pains yet boobs are so sore and heavy.

sevendwarves · 19/03/2011 10:02

Congratulations xnicky!!

Hi to wig and oli

I forgot to do my OPK yesterday, but should ovulate on Monday based on last 2 cycles. I'm feeling positive this month, we've already managed more SWI this month than in the last 3 cycles! :o
