tanif thought I would share a story that will make you feel better...many centuries ago when I had just left school I was training to be a midwife. As part of this I had to go out visiting with the community midwives.

One fine day we were visiting a woman who had had her baby about 3 days earlier, straightforward delivery but she had quite a big tear which needed stitches. One of the jobs that we had to do that day was to check her stitches as she had complained of unusual discharge....

Yup you guessed it on closer examination the discharge turned out to be from another source entirely, and pretty fresh too Shock. When we asked her about it she said "well we did have sex this morning..."

Now that woman will always have my admiration primarily because 3 days postpartum the only thing on my mind was how I was going to hobble to the kitchen to make a cup of tea and sex was off the menu for a long time... Blush

Anyway moral of this tale is that "residue" from the night before will not be a problem, I can guarantee they have seen a lot worse than that! I'll bet their only reaction will be Envy that you're seeing so much action Grin

Don't miss your chance just to spare the blushes of the medical profession, they are unshockable!!

As an aside, we appear to be cervix position buddies...definitely think there's a chance I am ovulating at the moment what with the copious EWCM and now the high soft position... my goodness what a screwy cycle, oh well.

I prescribe lots of SWI for both (in fact all) of us. Grin

spidookly · 17/03/2011 09:20

OK, stick a fork in me, I'm done :o

No more shagging for us for a bit. I admitted to DH last night I was knackered and it was starting to feel like a chore, so we're going to stop.

Still, SWI every day from CD7 to CD21 is not a bad innings.

Zzzzzzzzz [delicious sleep emoticon]

So I guess I'm officially waiting. Luckily got a busy few days visiting family coming up, so will have plenty to keep me occupied :)

Agree with seven Tanif - don't miss your best shagging time for the sake of the smear. There's nothing disgusting about semen in a cervix - it's entirely natural.

seven - how did DS get on last night in his big boy bed? :)

spidookly · 17/03/2011 09:30

X-posted with Poppy

I'm afraid even sex prescribed by a midwife is more than I can manage. I'm all about resting now :o

Come on the rest of you, though! :)

MickyLee · 17/03/2011 09:36

Morning all.

Loving the TMI topics Grin and reaaly happy we can swop notes - purely for educational reasons of course (as you can tell I need some with my terrible spelling!)

We managed to have a sneaky one last night but not holding much hope for this month tbh. DM leaves in the morning so will be back on track then to SWI.

seven how old is your DS? My DS (2 in may) is ready to move but can't be bothered right now with him being able to get out of bed himself!! Might wait until mid-summer then hopefully can re-use his cot and few months later Hmm

Karbea · 17/03/2011 09:57

spiddy Yes we are! I will probably test on Friday too... although AF has been visting randomely since we started TTC... so who knows.

weimy · 17/03/2011 10:31

That is alot of sex spidookly Grin

weimy · 17/03/2011 10:31

grr 'a lot' Blush

BlueCrane · 17/03/2011 11:01

CD7 - CD21 spidookly that's v good going!! We're trying to stick to every other day at the moment, though DH was up late working last night and rather short on zzzz last night so when I text him this morning to remind him of our need to SWI tonight I got the following response "sleep with intent sounds like a fantastic idea!" Hmm not sure he's going to get away that lightly...and now just found out that he might have to go away with work again in the next couple of weeks...right in the midst of prime SWI time Angry He never had to go away with work until we started TTC...typical!!!

Iggly · 17/03/2011 13:31

if you don't get a BFP then I'll eat my hat [ grin]

spidookly · 17/03/2011 13:39

Iggly - if only it were that simple :o

BlueCrane - gah! How annoying about DH working away. (Another time when the frustrated emoticon would come in handy.)

sevendwarves · 17/03/2011 18:51

Micky he'll be 3 in June.

spidookly he was very good, didn't hear a peep from him until 7.15!

MickyLee · 17/03/2011 19:16

Urr.. I feel really sick, but before anyone thinks too much into it, it was down to eating a massive curry and rice at 3pm! Feel like i never want food again, I'm so full :(

seven slept past 7am is great. He must of been very settled in there.

Thinking11 · 17/03/2011 19:22

Hi tanif dont worry its not too personal. Im doing artificial imsemination. What was your disertaion about? i'd be interested to hear more, even if it disagrees with what I am doing. I like to prepare myself by looking at all angles.

No peak this morning, still high. Ive decided to call it a month this month. Although my monitor doesnt agree I think I ovulated on Sunday so its time for some much needed rest and two nights in my own bed.

spidookly · 17/03/2011 19:26

seven - aw, bless him :)

2 year olds are so great.

orangehead · 17/03/2011 19:32

Decided I think I am feeling more pmt than pregnant Sad

MrsMcJnr · 17/03/2011 19:37

Sorry I am not posting much, I am reading a bit and wishing you all well Smile getting close to OV hopefully, otherwise we´ll "peak" too soon and there will be no "boys" about when the egg arrives! Grin

spidookly · 17/03/2011 19:43

Boo orange :(

Still, the pmt/pg symptom matrix is notoriously unstable, so we won't count you out yet :)

orangehead · 17/03/2011 19:52

I know have been fooled in the past, bu do feel like I could kill someone and Im spotty. Never been spotty when pregnant before.

weimy · 17/03/2011 20:47

Any news from peapop?

orangehead · 17/03/2011 20:50

Nothing yet

peapop · 17/03/2011 21:10

Hi all, so sorry for neglecting you all Sad I'm blaming work, horribly manic!

AF due tomorrow.... sorry if TMI but had some spotting yesterday early afternoon then nothing since so far, aching all over (especially boobs- ouch!) and feeling heavy but no period pains which is very unlike me normally?!

Resisted POAS so far as convinced it's all in my mind and just wishful thinking Confused

weimy · 17/03/2011 21:21

Hey peapop fx :)

orangehead · 17/03/2011 21:37

Well done for resisting peapop

MickyLee · 18/03/2011 05:53

Good luck peapop So when are you going to test?

DM went early this morning. :( because I will miss her and her help with DC but also :) because we can SWI again

peapop · 18/03/2011 06:17

Thanks ladies, I'll probably give in and test tomorrow morning if nothing happens today.
