I've been pooting as I've got ECWM but the cheapie sticks have shown nothing! Is it more likely that I've not ov'd or that the sticks are shit? Still SWI anyway!

sevendwarves · 14/03/2011 09:16

poppy I know it's hard to believe when you've done so much POAS already but a line is a line. Massive congratulations!

googie I'd trust your body more than the sticks tbh, especially if they were only cheapy ones.

Tanif · 14/03/2011 09:51

Just catching up on everyone's weekend news...

Poppy congratulations! I agree with spidookly a line is a line is a line. Had a very faint line just before christmas (whilst on the pill) and was assured by the doctor that if it's visible, there's a bun in there!

spidookly · 14/03/2011 10:14

Iggly - I've scoured the MN terms and conditions, and there's nothing that says two buses can't claim same BFP! :o

So hurray for our first! May it be the first of many!

Daiso · 14/03/2011 10:17

Morning all

poppy CONGRATS Grin

Am sorry to say i cracked yesterday morning and POAS - BFN but i expected that anyway as 4 days before AF due plus only approx 12dpo. ( is it odd that after it came up BFN one of my first thoughts was spookidly told me not too!!)

Af feels like she's on her way but one weird thing is this morning my whole body feels really heavy - i can't explain it but it feels like i've done a gym workout (i'm actually allergic to the gym so know it's def not that Wink)

How's everyone else?

maybebabyR · 14/03/2011 10:19

Congratulations poppy so pleased for you Grin

Hopefully we will see some more lines (no matter how faint) soon!!

spidookly · 14/03/2011 10:23

Daiso

:o

That's hilarious!

If there's one lesson we should learn from our first BFP, it's that Poppy had BFNs until after her period was due.

Keep those pee sticks dry ladies! Let's maintain a good ratio of BFPs to BFNs. Every wasted BFN just makes our figures look bad :o

spidookly · 14/03/2011 10:34

PMSL :o

No one puts Daiso in the corner!

You're our advance party - we needed to hear some news from the front line :)

caramelgirl · 14/03/2011 11:10

Congratulations Poppy! What a lovely way to start the week! Will hope that it inspires the rest of our eggs to start trying harder! Seems everyone I meet at the moment is pregnant and I am trying to see it as an infectious kind of thing!! (fxd alot).
And v good luck Daiso.

Spidookly v much liking idea of bar charts, but suggest the alternative of less corporate more chocolately reward charts instead- surely one chocolate button per BFP would start to up those numbers?

weimy · 14/03/2011 11:19

Congrats poppy :)

MickyLee · 14/03/2011 11:24

congratulations poopy :)

Managed to get down to it a couple of nights ago and if we were to get a BFP this month then I hope it was down to then as it very nice Grin

Yesterday I had a really uncomfortable feeling where I assume my ovaries are, does then sound like ovulation??? Confused

spidookly · 14/03/2011 12:37

:o

PMSL @ poopy :o

caramel - I see what you're saying, more carrot than stick. I think you're right.

Offering people buttons for doing wees at the right time is quite a big theme in my life at present (potty training DD1. AGAIN!) :o

Micky
"Yesterday I had a really uncomfortable feeling where I assume my ovaries are, does then sound like ovulation???"

Yes.

Well either ovulation or wind :)

[wind - the alternative explanation for all symptoms of everything]

Tanif · 14/03/2011 12:52

Just popped out for my lunchbreak and to add to my ever growing collection of trashy, cheap magazines. Is it just me or are there an awful lot more buggies and bumps atm? I'm almost convinced there weren't anywhere near as many before DP and I started TTC...

ThePippy · 14/03/2011 12:54

Huge congrats poopy - here's to an uneventful 9 months!

Well I managed to summons the energy to DTD this weekend, and on CD12 now (supposedly OV'ed CD 13 last month) so might try to build myself up for another session tonight or tomorrow to cover my bases :-)

Hoping for some good news this month for all the December bus!!

BlueCrane · 14/03/2011 13:18

Fantasic news poppy Grin

CD11 today will start my ov pee sticks soon...though seem to have a lot of CM at the moment Confused reminded of my Mum saying that she used to Ov really early...but then that wouldn't really match with my long cycles so bit confused. Oh well, if I am Oving around now we DTD Friday and Sunday and might badger poor DH when he gets in from work late tonight or try tomorrow just in case! Wink

Chocolate buttons as non-peeing incentives sounds good!! Roll on lots of BFPs for this festive bus!

spidookly · 14/03/2011 13:39

I'm CD19 today. I think the important shagging window has probably closed. Although plenty of people on this thread have mentioned CD19 as when they ov, so too early to stop SWI just in case I'm ov'ing later than I think.

Tanif
"Is it just me or are there an awful lot more buggies and bumps atm?"

It's just you :)

I remember saying this to one of my best friends when I was pregnant with DD1. She was finally pg after years of trying and assured me that if I was only just noticing all these bumps and buggies that it was just me as she'd been plagued by them for ages.

BlueCrane
"reminded of my Mum saying that she used to Ov really early...but then that wouldn't really match with my long cycles so bit confused."

You could ov early and just have a really long luteal phase. I believe that long luteal phases are better for implantation and so a very good thing.

Based on this info from your Mum you could (to adapt a phrase) shag early, shag often and see if that brings you better results.

BlueCrane · 14/03/2011 14:02

Grin at spidookly for wise words...DH will be happy Wink

Iggly · 14/03/2011 14:04

spikoodly you're on form today! Shag often, shag early?! Ratio of BFPs to BFNs. Me like Grin

Blue if you've got the CM then get SWIng! Good luck for you this cycle.

My SIL is having a baby right now. As we speak. Can't wait to meet the scrumptious newborn!

Tanif · 14/03/2011 14:07

Iggly my SIL is due for a planned C-section on the 19th of July. I've already decided that if I'm not pg by then, I will probably be suicidal at the sight of a newborn. Best of luck to your SIL, do you know whether you're expecting a niece or a nephew?

spidookly · 14/03/2011 14:11

Iggly - so exciting!

A new niece or nephew :) Keep us updated!

Poppyjen · 14/03/2011 14:17

"Poopy" made me laugh...Grin

Thanks for all of your congratulations ladies Smile still feeling a bit Confused about it all though. Just googled "faint thin line on clearblue" (I know, I know step away from the computer...) and got all kinds of horridness about false positives etc. My line is not that faint really but definitely much thinner than the control line...

You'd think that second time around I would be calmer and less neurotic but if anything I have just got worse! Needless to say I will continue testing until I get something that even Google can't make me second guess Smile

Anyway, considering earlier bfns and faintness of this (dare I say it..) bfp (Smile) I think I must have ovulated much later than I thought. I had cramping pains about 11 days ago so this could well have been ovulation, also did have EWCM for a while after I initially thought ov had happened.

Anyway what I am trying (in a very rambling sort of way) to say is that if ov happened that late then my due date may well be very late Nov or possible sneaking into December anyway so definitely should count for both buses Grin

Daiso · 14/03/2011 15:47

Poopy or poopy ( whichever you prefer! Grin)

I shouldn't be on this bus at the min really as IF we did concieve then baby would be due 24th Nov however the ladies on the bus have allowed me to join and should i be kicked off due to AF appearance on Weds then i can hop straight back on as if lucky enough when TTC on next cycle it would be a 21st Dec due date sooooo i am hogging 2 seats at the min Wink Climb aboard.

spookidly PMSL @ nobody puts Daiso in the corner!

Daiso · 14/03/2011 15:47

DUH!!!!!!!! poppy ha ha!!

sevendwarves · 14/03/2011 15:57

poppy there is a chemical pregnancy ie. a very early mc, or an evaporation line which would have appeared after the 10 minutes, but no such thing as a false positive
